British Hit Albums Book (2009)
And it'll probably be as bad as the singles one is sounding - only weeks in the Top 40 counted, with the albums between 41-75 reduced to little more than glorified footnotes.

Definitive one hit wonders of the year?
No, 1973 was James C***.

Quantum of Solace // October 31st UK // Nov. 7th Worldwide
Really? It's the 31st in Lancashire.

'Your Country Needs You'
IIRC, they weren't too bad in the NF. In Eurovision itself, however…

Could X Factor Finalists 2008 - Hero Be A Million Seller?
You mean making No5 - being beaten by Avid Merrion in the process - then falling out of the Top 40 about three weeks later?

Who is the Richest Athlete
At least it's not as bad as Belfast - it's largely in County Antrim, but isn't it's county seat (even though, on the island, only Dublin is bigger).

Best of 1999
Whilst I don't doubt you over how many No1s there were in 99, we didn't have a spell of 28 weeks (more than half a year) with only two No1s lasting more than seven days at the top.

'Your Country Needs You'
Agreed. Especially when you consider some things: What Eurovision qualities did Lordi possess? That Hiro-lookalike from last year? Katrina and the Waves? The Olsen Brothers?

How Many Times Have You Seen Your Football Team This Season?
Nine out of 13. (Helps that I've got a season ticket.)
-
lol@spurs
Just to show how bad it is - they could end up playing Southend next year. When they spent £77 million, who thought that could ever happen outside the cups?
-
'Your Country Needs You'
 if the BBC's recent track record is anything to go by.

powys council causes uproar
Well, we did - until some chav nicked it. When phoning the council to ask for a new one, they basically said that it was our fault (and therefore wouldn't give us a replacement - meaning we have to go to Asda to do it).
-
Heroes || Season Five
I can't even understand why Maya (and Alejandro) were included in the first place. And please tell me that they've got rid of West - it's hard to believe a 17-year-old being played by someone born in 1980.

Chart Archives
I voted for "other", because "Ireland" wasn't an option, and my mother's from Ireland (born in Belfast, raised in Dublin).
-
Best of 1999
No - we had 36 chart-toppers. But we didn't a spell of 14 weeks and another spell of 12 weeks with a different chart-topper in 1999 - like we did in 2000. There were all sorts that I liked - I wasn't a big fan of pop then, like I was merely a few years ago, yet there was plenty that I liked. (Even Westlife - :shudder:)

powys council causes uproar
Seeing as we're paying for it already, yes (I moved into my flat in 2005 - we had weekly refuse collections every week. It went to fortnightly in 2007, and the council tax didn't go down to reflect it.

Top 5 artists who need to retire
When's Leon Jackson's Greatest Hits coming out?
-
Best of 1999
Nah, I prefer 1999 - largely because (a) I was in Spain for about a quarter of the year and (B) we didn't have 43 chart-toppers in 1999.
-
powys council causes uproar
You mean the same money that's been saved by councils that only collect rubbish once a fortnight (like my one ).

Capello's England National Squad thread
Athens 2004 - 9 golds, from a total of 30. Beijing 2008 - 19 golds, from a total of 47. Bearing this in mind, it seems like the younger ones were better than the "better older" ones.

Michael Jackon week X Factor Itunes Prediction
I wonder how many people here know what you mean (I do).

Top 75 Singles / Albums + Compilation Chart
It's gonna be tough, though - Now 71's out at the same time.

East 17-f*** That
So Take That are successful because they've got a better name? (It's like someone on Wikipedia saying that Anthony Kiedis couldn't possibly be bi because he's cute - see http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=...exual_musicians)

Now That's What I Call Music 71
Which, let's face it, was never gonna happen - ITAT was in a commercial campaign (for about a month to six weeks, you seemingly couldn't watch a programme without seeing a drumming gorilla), whereas TYB re-entered due to its one use in the X Factor. (I know SITR's success was due to it being used in BGT, but that was more than once - plus you'd have had people downloading it after the Final as well.)

Top 75 Singles / Albums + Compilation Chart
I hope people aren't downloading this thinking that it's "Take Back The City" - it's over two years old, ffs.
