Another RBS Piggie.....
It doesn't matter what we do with them - our taxes would be used on them regardless of what happens to them. (The Prison Service gets its money from the government, which in turn gets it from us.)

Who can find the most cringe-worthy Eurovision entry?
And they're not just kept to 2000. I present to you, Croatia's entry in 1997: QmsxqVhuX5Q And it was very quickly forgotten. Possibly because this was next.

gooddelta's top 50 Eurovision songs of the noughties
You can add Ireland to that list - the last entry from them I liked was in 2006. Then you have to go back to 1998 for their previous half-decent entry. (2003 not included, for sounding too much like Denmark 2000.)

The Suedehead Chart Commentary
 Reminds me of the Westlife song Unbreakable - I was doing student radio at the time, and I brought a couple of it. Simply to smash it on air and therefore say that it violated the Trade Descriptions Act. I got a lot of love for that.

Another RBS Piggie.....
I wouldn't - I'd make them live on the £64.30 a week that the people they're making unemployed have to live on (less if they're under 25).

Google Street View forced to remove images
Something that you can't do with Google Image Search, of course. (Right now, I'm not fussed - Preston was considered less important than Scunthorpe when the cameras were sent over here.)

Who do you THINK will qualify from the semi-finals?
Well, it could be worse - had Ireland used their televoting rather than their jury, their 12 would be going to Austria. :puke:

Relegation predictor
I'd love to see their faces if they lose their Play-offs and we (Preston) win ours - they gave us so much grief after their victory over us in the 2006 Play-offs (their gameplan seemed to be to batter us off the pitch - well, it seemed to be: they finished with nine men). It was soooo much fun to watch us whip them 4-1 a few months later.

Then how did Spain and Poland - who also took part in the invasion - do so well?

Relegation predictor
I vividly remember when Leeds got relegated to League 1 in 2007. They were all like, "we'll be promoted by Christmas" (which was changed to Easter after their 15 point deduction). They're still in League 1, and will be in their third season in that league if they don't win the Play-offs.

Who do you THINK will qualify from the semi-finals?
Then explain how, in 2006, we gave our 10 to Lithuania in the Semifinal as well as the Final.
-
What's this 7 Digital free download thingy for Untouchable?
They didn't really think it through, did they? (If they wanted a sensible, non-abuseable promotion, they should have done something simple. Like put a different code on each voucher.)

UK combat operations end in Iraq
I thought it was referring to the British troops, not the "last one to Baghdad's a rotten egg" American troops. And the only time that the British ones were accused of doing anything bad turned out to be faked in the back of a truck - which the Mirror fell for hook, line and sinker.

I'd love to see Newcastle go down - simply 'cos it will be weird watching the classifieds and seeing them and Peterborough on the same page. Mind you, it's gonna be even weirder seeing Norwich, Southampton and Charlton on the same page as Wycombe and Exeter.
-
Who do you THINK will qualify from the semi-finals?
You mean like how Portugal qualified last year with only France helping you? Plus, we gave you 7 in the SF last year. (Then 0 in the Final. <_<)

Mark Goodier with the Top 20 (09/06/1996) MP3
I haven't screamed it out at all. Mind you, I am Scottish.
-
UK combat operations end in Iraq
My answer to this is the same as in was in 2003, and hasn't changed one bit. And that was that the government is to blame, and the armed forces claiming the high ground (after all, they were only doing what they were told - don't do that, and you get courtmartialled and a possible dishonourable discharge).
-
lol@spurs
And another American forgets that there's a world outside of America. (I'm half-surprised that their maps don't have "Here be dragons" for anything east of Maine.)

Big Brother to end with series 11
The show's ending? :cheer: But it's not until 2010? :nocheer: I didn't see any of it last year - and I didn't see much of it in 2007 - and I actually enjoyed those two summers. If only the weather was good as well. And just think: the world's poorest excuse for a newspaper Daily Star will have to find something else to write about - and put on its front page - all summer long in 2011.

What Countries are your 10 qualifiers from each Semi?

Guinness Top 40 Charts Book
Probably the same way they mislaid two years' worth of albums charts until 2003. I wouldn't - largely cos I got the charts from another forum (and have them in three thick lever arch files).

Most consecutive/collective Top 10/20 singles in the UK
Did you actually look through Wikipedia before posting this. If so, you'd have seen this. Which lists "St Trinians" has a chart entry.

US Endangered TV List
I thought they announced several months ago that there would only be two seasons of it. Shame - 'cos then ITV could have shown it, but drop an episode because of the World Cup.

Doctor Who: Planet of the Dead
Hate to break this to you, but "the new Doctor Who series" ended in July 08. And there's been three episodes since "the most recent episode, The Stolen Earth". For spin-off series, which one: "Torchwood" (which I do watch) or "The Sarah Jane Adventures" (which I don't)?
