BWO - Lay Your Love on Me
 at the whole thought that a losing NF entry from a foreign country is B-listed by a British radio station.

Gareth Barry saga
Is this the same Liverpool that reckon Peter Crouch is worth £15 million? (They apparently wanted to buy Keane off Spurs - who they (Tottenham) valued at £20 million - with him and £5 million.) As for the main subject - I don't think Barry's worth £17 million.

Retro Chart .... early july 97!
I love it - and it got me starting on the road to becoming a rock chick. In my uni days, I did student radio, and the last hour of my show on Fridays would see me playing a song from the last 11 years, ending with the last full year. That was one of the more frequently played songs for 1997. Oh, and the readon for IBTFY in the charts? They had started to release Friends on VHS that year.

the new fantastic song
Yup - on both points: -> Finland does have a border with Russia (Finland's longest border, as well). -> There's tons of Russians in Israel (apparently, over 7000 immigrants in 2006 were Russian).

the new fantastic song
Yup. Their only 12 that didn't come from the former Soviet Union came from Israel, and the only 10 that came from a non-Communist country was from Finland.

Pregnant man has baby girl
I'm sorry, but how is a woman who had a sex change op but decided to keep their female reproductive organs a man?

the new fantastic song
I don't know about neighbourly voting (which, let's face it, would have affected Ukraine as well), but, if it was just Western Europe voting (plus Turkey, Israel, Cyprus and Greece), Serbia would still have won it last year. This year, using those same borders, Greece would have won, whilst Russia would have finished 11th.

Bad Wolf [Series 4]
 at the German Daleks. Question - People who have died in the Doctor's name. Jenny was included. Forgive me for asking, but isn't she *not* dead?

Gretna
I've noticed that no-one has yet mentioned that Annan Athletic have entered the SFL to replace Gretna yet. (Until now, obviously.)

Opening Day Fixtures
Hull and Stoke chosen more than Wigan? Edit - But then I have just noticed that Chelsea and Arsenal are on more often than Man United (who won the title). Mind you, Man United are on the same number of times has Tottenham.

Barbara Dex Award 2008
I take it this only applies to the lead singer, and not the backing singers. That's the only way that Andorra didn't win it that year - iirc, the backing singers brought their underwear to Athens, but left the rest at home.

Eurovision 2009 thread
As a lot of Eastern Europe doesn't recognise Kosovo, I doubt they're going to be joining anytime soon. Plus, the fact that it's on Wikipedia should say something as well.

Now That's What I Call Music Vol. 70
And, of course, we already know one more thing about it - iTunes are gonna be selling it for £17. <_< And we also know that everyone else will be selling it for anywhere up to £7 less than that (and you get the booklet as well).

Sound of 2008 - review
:heehee: (And I love how the Yanks are saying that her father's gotta be Tom Jones, on account of both having powerful voices. Yup, that's proof alright.)

Top 75 Singles / Albums Chart
So much for The Sun saying that Wonderwall was gonna chart due to Jay-Z using it at the start of his set at Glastonbury. (I've looked, and it's not in the Top 100!)

Bad Wolf [Series 4]
- Now That's What I Call Music Vol. 70
As much as I love Queen, I don't think Don't Stop Me Now - which, if I'm correct in thinking - made the Top 40, so why would that be included?- Quantum Of Solace
It does - apparently, it starts two minutes after Casino Royale ended.- Bad Wolf [Series 4]
Notice how Pete Tyler ISN'T in the pictures? Maybe he's looking after it.- BBC Premiership Predictor 08/09
Hull 14th? Stoke 15th?:rofl::rofl::rofl: I've got a feeling they'll both be relegated. Possibly in 19th and 20th position. (Feel free to quote me in May if either/both stay up.)- Will England Qualify For World Cup 2010?
This is what happens: 1 - The team that finishes top of the group qualifies automatically. 2 - Eight of the 9 runners-up go through to the play-offs, based on their record against the teams that finish 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th. (Results against the 6th placed team are dropped since Group 9 only has five teams). The worst runner-up misses out on the play-offs. 3 - The four play-off winners join the 9 group winners in South Africa. For example, Group 9 could look like this: 1 - The Netherlands (qualify) 2 - Scotland (the play-offs, depending on (a) our record against 1, 3, 4 and 5, and (B) the other 8 runners-up) 3 - Norway (eliminated) 4 - Iceland (eliminated) 5 - FYR Macedonia (eliminated)- Now That's What I Call Music Vol. 70
I just hope we don't have a repeat of 69, when it said "Timbaland presents OneRepublic", but it turned out to be the one WITHOUT him!- UEFA Euro 2008 | Discussion Thread
Asrhavin worth £25 million? He isn't on last night's performance. - Now That's What I Call Music Vol. 70
