I doubt Kosovo would enter - Russia hasn't recognised them as being independent. And since they're one of Serbia's friends (Serbia also doesn't recognise their independence), I doubt that will change soon. (There's also other countries - like the former Yugoslav and Soviet <except Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania> countries that don't recognise them either.)

They were - despite not being able to choose a song without having a paddy (whoever thought the Montenegrins would vote for the Montenegrin act?), they were able to vote. Had they not been allowed to, Poland - not FYR Macedonia - would have been in the Final. And it probably would have done better as well. PS - Strange as it may sound, I reckon Finland was the jury's choice.

I've just worked this out - the last time an Eastern European country finished bottom was 1994, when it happened to Lithuania (0 points - what a way to start your history in the Contest). Mind you, Hungary in 1995 and BiH in 1996 came close.

Well, accept my apologies that I forgot an absolutely rubbish song in that calculation. But to go from having four No1s in a row (I believe) in such a short spell - less than 24 months - to only having 1 top 5 in seven years is pretty bad.
