Any Eurovision songs that you initially hated but.....
I initially hated Lithuania 2006. I even said it should come with a health warning. Now I like it. I also started off not liking Denmark 2005. Then I decided to fairly judge all of 2005's songs several months later. And it appeared in my Top 10.

More proof that the English FA have lost it?
Not much, then. We were in the second pot for the World Cup qualifiers. Simple - the knock-out stages of the Champions League has already started, and that means that players for the big clubs would be pulling out.

Eurovision 2008 compilation CD
They're near the Ms because their ISO code is ME. (TG is Togo's ISO code.)
-
Top 75 Singles / Albums Chart
So much for them saying that they'd make their singles barred from the charts.
-
The charts of 2000 at this time: 5/6/2000
And just think - songs these days can get into the Top 20 with about 15% of that figure.

How would you change the chart show
I would ask why the BBC decided to have two people doing a show that one person was more than able to do, but then I remembered something else - for whatever reason, they've decided that the 1pm, 6pm and 10pm news shows need a different reporter for the same news item in the same place. We also have to remember that this is the same company who, when hosting Eurovision in 1998, decided to have the commentator also do some presenting duties.

Flood
Just out of curiosity - is this the same Flood that came out on DVD a few months back? If so, how did they make an 1:47 film last four hours (save commercials)?

Eurovision 2008 compilation CD
There were compilations for both 1999 and 2000. Although I have problems with them: 1999 - Four songs are missing (therefore missing the point of the compilation.) 2000 - All the songs were there, but are in a jumbled-up order. They were in order between 2001 and 2003, then in the ISO order for 2004 onwards (although they made a couple mistakes with it in 2004.)

Top 75 Singles / Albums Chart
Although, in this day and age, you have to have the same opinion as everyone else. (Someone once had a go at me because I admitted that, Creep aside, I dislike Radiohead.)

How would you change the chart show
The BBC's brought the competitions back. (Well, Match Of The Day's "Goal of the Month" feature has reverted back to it's competition status.) Has for the chart show - Get rid of those two eejits, give me the show, and allow it to be done from their Manchester studios (there's no way am I moving to London to do a three-hour show a week).

Dr Who (Series 4)
Has the Empire State Building is New York's largest building (and it didn't go far down it), I doubt it would have been. And I missed Rose as well. (So guess who's going to watch it again?)

Premiership Predictions 07/08
I think it comes from a poor start to the season, and a generally inconsistent run after winning the Carling Cup (it put them in Europe, so why bother challenging for it through the League?).
-
All Kinds of Everything polls
As a qualifier - yes. As a potential winner - definitely not. And I wonder if Ireland's eighth placing in SF1 is because of AKOE being an Irish website.

Another Eurovision Compilation
I'd love to know how they came up with this tracklisting - Teenage Life and Flying The Flag on there but no mention of Modlitba (last year's winner) or Nel Blu Dipinto Nel Blu (second in that 50th anniversary thing in 2005)? Thank God I've either downloaded them (1956-2000) or bought the CD (2001 onwards) - I can make my own one then.
- Keith Harris and Estelle

Coldplay 'Violet Hill' - the next number one?
It's amazing - I've tried it SEVERAL times with my email, and I get nothing. Try it with Jo's email address, and I get the email straight away. (And she doesn't like Coldplay either.)
-
Keith Harris and Estelle
So did I. And Keith - that's Ruby's dad's name. Which just makes it even more fun (especially since their surname is "Allen").

Sven to be sacked (again)
Weren't England knocked out of the 2002 World Cup, when, despite being a man up v Brazil, they played like it was them who had the player sent off? As Jo (a Man City fan) as said, "if that's his response, he can takes his money and shove where the sun doesn't shine". And that's rare from her, considering how laid-back she is. It seems like he's forgotten than Man City only scored 10 goals at home last season, the last of which came on New Year's Day.

UEFA Champions League [07-08 Thread]
:heehee: I've never heard that one before.
-
Coldplay 'Violet Hill' - the next number one?
The two of you above this post - aren't you lucky? I haven't got the email yet. (Mind you, we do have until next Tuesday to download it.)
-
Dr Who [Series 4]
Not if the BBC puts Doctor Who on at 6.20pm - the games kick off at 6pm and 8.45pm local time, which is 5pm and 7.45pm our time, so there might be a slight change. Besides, isn't this sort of thing what Sky+ was created for?

The Manchester United School Of Mathematics: TEST
:heehee: Although you've made an error with No9: iirc, that was in Cardiff and was between Liverpool and West Ham. You could replace that with any team: Birmingham (for Aston Villa), Newcastle, any London team, Portsmouth - need I continue?
-
Coldplay 'Violet Hill' - the next number one?
I hope not. But then the chavs do seem to be controlling the charts these days - I don't know anyone who liked Soulja Boy, H Two O or Heartbroken, yet all of them were huge.
-
Highest Peaking Spanish Song in the UK Charts?
That might be true. But then acts from Australia, Canada and Ireland have been huge here. As have acts from Contential Europe as well.
