  1. I've read that. She also said that Hillary Clinton will win November's presidential election. (Bear in mind she's got a bit of catching up to do to overtake Barack Obama.)
  2. I agree. And you also have to consider that 2005 was the only time that a song that qualified automatically (Greece) won the show. (Ukraine in 2004, Finland in 2006 and Serbia last year were all in the SF, therefore giving the full song a second performance, whereas the rest of them were played for a similar length as to when the songs are reprised with the voting numbers.)
  3. Didn't they split up - which would explain why Helena represented Greece in ESC2005 on her own?
  4. Aren't you two both forgetting something? Starting this year, only the Big Four and the host country (in this case, Serbia) qualify automatically. None of those countries are included in those five.

I thought that as well. Then I checked out OneRepublic's MySpace, and the non-Timbaland version is on there. (Even more amazing is that it says "Timbaland presents OneRepublic".

A bit of a shakeup this week: 5 (worst) - Flo Rida 4 - Nickelback 3 - Soulja Boy 2 - H "two" O 1 - Basshunter Two final things: (1) Still no Westlife, and (2) how can Bleeding Love be both 7 and 10?

This was released nearly NINETY weeks ago. Who the f*** is STILL downloading it after all this time?
  8. Downloads. And I don't have to worry about what would happen if the computer goes bang - I stick them on my iPod AND burn them to CD immediately (and what are the odds of more than one of those media being f***ed up at the same time?). And I'd much rather pay 79p for one song rather than £3.99 and maybe like more than one song. Having said that though, most of my albums are physical purchases, though (there was a brief time when I would download those as well, but I missed being able to read the booklet).
  9. And we could have another Liverpool-Chelsea Semifinal as well.
  10. I agree - using MySpace (a website largely dominated by Americans - especially those that think that anything outside America on a map is just white with "Here be dragons"?

You mean like how its appearance on Now 46 harmed Spiller making No1 in 2000?
  12. It did - it spent a week at No75 last year. (And that's because of it appearing on iTunes.)

 It's a shame that the only time she's actually managed a modicum of success outside PCD is with P Diddy. And I can't even remember that song.

I'm willing to make a prediction - whatever's No1 on Sunday will be knocked off the following week by Now 69.
  15. It would be nice BUT whatever ol' Fishlips himself (Svante Stockselius, or whatever he's called) wants, he gets. (And, after allowing Serbia and Montenegro to vote in 2006, despite not being able to choose a song*, he's pretty much f***ed it up completely.) * - The Serbians threw a paddy after the Montenegrins voted for the Montenegrin act.

Something else I've noticed about this - Shayne Ward is the only X-Factor winner that hasn't finished CD1.

I know - it's just shocking that there's five songs worse than Pestlife.
  18. I'd love it to be Barnsley. I'd also find it funny if they went down as well: "We're obviously disappointed after losing against Sparta Prague, but we've now got to look forward to our game against Milton Keynes on Sunday." (MK Dons are currently second in League 2.)

If I remember rightly, didn't Greece face disqualification in 1998 due to their song lasting 3:01 (or similar) in the rehearsals?

Yes on all counts. (She's also the first British female solo act to go to No1 on downloads. We have yet to see a British male act, mixed act or solo male - Mika's not British - achieve that feat.)

    5pts - Nickelback :puke::puke::puke::puke::puke: 4pts - Soulja Boy :puke::puke::puke::puke: 3pts - H "Two" O :puke::puke::puke: 2pts - Basshunter :puke::puke: 1pt - Alphabeat :puke: And it's noticeable that Westlife aren't included, despite being at No8.

Thank the lord for Sky Plus: I'm out on Tuesday (PNE are at home), but I'll still be able to see it on Tuesday.

Come on Bristol Rovers. Imagine that - a Barnsley vs Bristol Rovers SF at Wembley. I doubt anyone would have seen that happening back in August.

From the official rules: "A player, substitute or substitued player is sent off and shwon the red card if he commits any of the following seven offences: 5. denies an obvious goalscoring opportunity to an opponent moving towards the player's goal is an offence punishable by a free kick or a penalty kick" And as the player was brought down, it's a red card. As were Quiroz's: "it's referees like him who let the Taylors of this world", referring to Mark Taylor's horrendous tackle on Eduardo. If you remember, Wegner retracted his statement. I have seen no retraction of Quiroz's comments.

No - they have to be three minutes on the night. I've got examples (Germany 01 and France 02) which are more than three minutes (France 02 is just over four minutes long).
