  1. In 2004, Switzerland got 0 points. The person who represented them in 1998 - who also failed to score (unfairly, imo) - said that it was because they've got no friends. In 2005, Switzerland got 128pts and finished 8th. So there's hope for us all. (Before anything is said, I know they were represented by an Estonian act - I doubt they got their points simply from Estonia's friends.)
  2. Same with me. Which is the same reason I download songs as well. But I can't do that - the Woolies in Preston doesn't stock singles anymore (well, they do, but only a handful, and the "newest" one was released in December) and I don't really fancy spending my lunch break trying to find somewhere that stocks singles.
  3. I would have to say yes and no to this. Yes - When you look at the iTunes chart like I do, you start getting a feeling about what's going to be in the Top 10. No - What A Wonderful World wasn't on iTunes, yet that made No1. I also never would have thought the Spice Girls would fail to make the Top 10 or that Leona Lewis would drop out of the Top 10 from No3.
  4.:lol::lol::lol: (Incidentally, remember when the title used to be said with alarming frequency in the 90s? Just think - new Eurovision fans wouldn't believe you if you told them Ireland once won it four times in five years.)

    1 - Soulja Boy (most hated, for the 10 zillionth week) 2 - Nickelback 3 - Mark + Amy 4 - T2 + Jodie 5 - Basshunter

Especially since he picked Scott Carson - who ultimately cost you lot a place in Euro 2008. (Although why I'm posting in a thread about the England team is unknown.)
  7.:lol::lol::lol: They could have about as successful career as the Dance X winners - who failed to not only set the chart alight, but failed to make the Top 75 altogether.

My God - she actually owns some clothes?

I don't know. But I do know that you'll need a Swedish credit card to get them. As that's incredibly unlikely, you're stuffed. (I tried downloading a song from the Dutch iTunes but failed - largely 'cos I'm not from the Netherlands.)

I never even knew they had done a song again. Mind you, Whole Again aside, they were rubbish.
  11. Should have gone into Turkey, then get onto a lorry and illegally get into Britain. Then he'd be welcomed in with open arms. Well, terrorists are allowed into this country with open arms, so why not?

I do as well for that reason. Remember that week in April 2007 when the songs at No8 and No10 would make No1 before the month ended?

One not yet included - Barry White.
  14. Yup - especially since Iceland isn't in Scandinavia either.

I agree - as a Scot, I'm always trying to find a bargain, and finding a song for 79p is obviously preferable than paying something like £4 for the single release for that same song. Also, remember 2000 in the charts? We had 43 Number 1s. Last year - the first with downloads given equal rating - we had 17. It wouldn't surprise me if we had a repeat of 2000 in terms of No1s if it was physical only.
  16. It's such a shame that the first word of the analysis shouldn't belong there - Finland isn't in Scandinavia. The Finns also don't consider themselves Scandinavian.
  17. I doubt it'll work. And let's not forget that he had lead vocals on Shine.

I was at a PNE game once, and an opponent put his arm into the air to handle the ball? Result - A yellow card and a PNE penalty. Which was converted.
  19. Woo-hoo: Greece and Cyprus in separate semis. Ireland are f***ed, though.
  20. So much a classic that I don't remember it.
  21. Does this mean that they'll start swearing? (Just a thought - I can't really see it happening.)
  22. £26 to buy it on USB? If I was a Bullet For My Valentine fan (which I'm not), I'd hardly pay the extra £16 just for some wallpapers and a documentary. (For "hardly" read "wouldn't".)

Until the CD gets scratched, or some careless person (not that I'll mention any names, but she knows who she is) puts their fingers on the shiny side of the disc.
