The Buzzjack Hate Chart 51
1 - Soulja Boy (most hated) :puke: 2 - T2 3 - Westlife 4 - Nickelback 5 - Mark Ronson (just think - there's probably a lot of people who don't know the Zutons' version. For shame.) And to Harve - you think your list was bad? Half of the top ten's in mine! (Since Westlife aren't in the top 10.)

FA Cu 3rd round weekend
Preston 1 Scunthorpe 0 - after they did the double over us in the League. :cheer::cheer::cheer: And Brighton lost to the team second bottom in League 2?

Big Brother : Hijacked
What's the digital switch over got to do with anything? Channel 4's still going to be around in 2012 (when it's complete).

Desperate Housewives [Season 4 Discussion]
I haven't seen any of it - I'd rather wait for it to be on TV in the United Kingdom (or is released on DVD across the Atlantic and buy it off someone like Amazon) - but I know what happens. (Thanks to it being in Heat a few months back.) As for Heat, they have a bit in the TV section saying what's happening with American shows, and they say that Channel 4 has postponed showing it until March. At the earliest. And for our Irish friend - you'll only be getting 10 episodes. Oh, and this strike has had me thinking: In the Simpsons episode "The PTA Disbands", Homer says that the American way is not to go on strike, but to go in every day and "do it really half-assed". So are they following their own advice?

UK Number 1 Ultimate Countdown Part 1
Considering that her longest run at the top is (I believe) two weeks, whilst we've got (quite) a few songs that have spent more than five times that amount there, I don't think she will be.

Music downloads double in a year
More than we've got - in Preston, there's only HMV and a couple of independents left. (That's excludes the supermarkets - but I don't think they stock singles either - and Woolies. And they've got the Top 20 in a cardboard stand somewhere in the music section.)

Radio 1 Playlist
"The Take Over, The Breaks Over" (Including the quote marks.) Haven't record companies said that singles are basically commercials for the albums, and that singles are loss makers?

Radio 1 Playlist
As I said the other day, there was a Joss Stone song that barely scaped the Top 20 (it might have made lower) that they were playing long after anyone interested in had brought it. (People obviously didn't buy it then, so why would they several weeks later?) Makes me miss the days when I was on student radio. :(

UK Number 1 Ultimate Countdown Part 1
No wonder nobody remembers it - I first heard for the first time (that I remember) on Christmas Eve 2004. There's only one song with an even more ironic song title that this - Switzerland's 2004 Eurovision entry (called Celebrate!, and got nothing from 32 countries). If you've forgotten it, here it is. Even the microphone didn't like it.

UK - Top 75 Singles / Albums - 5/1/08
Read it again - it read, "the first UK Million selling single by a solo female artist".

UK - Top 75 Singles / Albums - 5/1/08
:rolleyes::rolleyes: So, despite being able to be downloaded since Eyes Open was released (May 2006), and there's some people who still haven't done so? Putting the fact that it hasn't sold a million yet aside, didn't Kylie do it in 2001 with Can't Get You Out Of My Head?

Robin Hood
Oh, Christ, that programme is utter sh!te. And there's people who are criticising Doctor Who?

Boxing Day football
I missed that - seeing as I was watching Cardiff beat us 2-1 (putting us even closer to League 1 next season) - but it must have been funny. And I've also worked out that Reading have been involved in two games involving 21 goals, and have nothing to show for either game. They shouldn't worry, though - Blackburn should, though: it's been 13 weeks since the 7-4 game v Portsmouth, and they're hosting Blackburn 13 weeks from now.

Motherwell captain Phil O'Donnell dies
I don't think Marc-Vivien Foe's medical at Man City* showed he had a heart defect, and he was 28 when he died. * - I know it was a loan deal, but I doubt a player wouldn't have a medical before joining on a season-long loan. Edit - I didn't know he wasn't the second person to die whilst playing football: a Zambian player called Chaswe Nsofwa died in a practice match in Israel back in August.

The Worst 10 Things About Music In 2007.
It's not a new thing - a couple years back, they kept on playing a Joss Stone song that barely made the Top 20 a couple months afterwards. Some of the DJs are absolutely terrible (mentioning no names *cough*Scott Mills). And as for Radio 1: Established 1967…

Boxing Day football
Preston lost again yesterday. :( We made it seem like we were in League 1 last year, not Scunthorpe. At this rate, we'll be in League 1 next year. :(

The Buzzjack Hate Chart 49
He's in the chart, is he not? Just because he's not in their chart doesn't mean that he's not eligible, they may like it.* Anyway, my chart: 1 - Soulja Boy (worst) :puke2: 2 - Westlife 3 - T2 featuring Jodie 4 - Rihanna and Ne-Yo 5 - Shaun The Sheep * - He may not appear in my chart, but I don't like it: it's just not as bad as any of the ones that are.

Man Utd player arrested on rape claim
Weren't a few Newcastle players accused of raping someone when they were staying in London for a game a few years back?
-
The UK Singles Chart, Four Years Ago
I so would have loved that to have been Christmas No1 in 1998. Chef: "Suck on my chocolate salty balls. Stick 'em in your mouth and suck 'em." BBC Announcer: "And now, the Queen's speech."

Predict some Number 1 singles of 2008
Nope - Beautiful by Christina Aguilera kept it off the top. Yup. (IIrc, there was another version of Boys Of Summer released in 2003. It failed to make the Top 50 - again, iIrc. And it was a better version - lack of airplay meant it failed to make higher.)

Sunday Chart Predictions
Much has I don't like No1 or No2, I like this Top 5: no Soulja Boy. :yahoo:

Gary Barlow for the United Kingdom?
Wouldn't there be the slight problem of the X Factor tour in March 2008, therefore keeping them out of the National Final (also to be held in March 2008 - not yet confirmed, but it's been in March for years, so why change it now)?

Predict some Number 1 singles of 2008
I know of Heaven (which I liked), but what's the other one? (Mind you, don't even get me started on his version of Annie Lennox's Why?)

The UK Singles Chart, Four Years Ago
Why this chart, I don't here you ask? Looking for old airplay charts from Dec 2000 and Jan 2001
I didn't buy the single, didn't read Kerrang! and/or Q, and have never listened to XFM, having never lived in London, yet I remember the song. (It helps that, despite the above, I am a bit of a rock chick, though. It also helps that it was on Now 48 - which I did buy - as well.)
