  2. And to make sure that the USA and Mexico are as close as you can get to automatically qualifying without hosting it.
  3. Maybe they would have qualified if they didn't believe their publicity. And maybe if the FA had hired someone other than McClaren - still, it gave us Scots something to laugh at.

After what I downloaded in 2005 and 2006, I doubt there's any decent Christmas songs that I haven't already got. (Plus, I got one of those Christmas CDs back in 2003 and it's knocking about my flat somewhere.)

Oh please God no - I already hate him after the way he left Preston and took half the boardroom with him.

I'm surprised this isn't higher - I was on bored and on iTunes the other day, so I decided to see what was happening on the Irish chart, and this was No15.

    Limiting myself to just the Top 40: 5 - 50 Cent (most hated) 4 - Westlife 3 - Soulja Boy 2 - Spice Girls 1 - Dizzee Rascal

Clearly nine weeks was long enough before a new single was released. Much as I've never liked the Spice Girls - save Viva Forever - I'm surprised by this. Especially since their album made No2 (mind you, not really a good idea to release the song on an album before the song comes out). Anyone else reckon this will be Top 40 next week? (And also how about the Pogues in the Top 75 next week? Especially since it's at 81 this week.)
  9. The capital of New Alba is actually Dunedin - Albington is the largest city, though, so I can understand the confusion.

  11. So we (Scotland) won't be able to play - and beat - you (England) then. Damn. :(

    If it is true, :banghead:
  13. Stuff for me: Country - New Alba Flag: http://i2.tinypic.com/8bf9vrb.gif Artist: Groove Armada Song: Crazy For You Writers: John Bettis, Jon Lind Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sxH8GppvhS0 (However, you may have it already, seeing as it was on Radio 1 Established 1967.)
  14. Wasn't it reported when Chelsea gave him the elbow that his contract had a clause that means he couldn't manage another team in England, including the national team?

God Save The Queen is the United Kingdom's anthem. As for Scotland - our anthem changes depending on the event: for the football and rugby games, it's Flower Of Scotland, whereas it's Scotland The Brave when we win gold in the Commonwealth Games. I don't know myself.
  16. I choose No16. I'll think about the country name and flag tonight.
  17. 1 - Kaiser Chiefs <- fave 2 - Plain White T's 3 - Klaxons 4 - OneRepublic 5 - Kelis featuring Cee-Lo 6 - The Cribs 7 - Natalie Imbruglia 8 - Enrique Iglesias 9 - Dannii Minogue 10 - Ne*Yo

Us Scots also won't hear you lot saying you're gonna win the competition because you won the World Cup in 1966. (There may be more to it, but that's all I can think of.)
  19. For me, it's easily France - I've got the songs I like on my iPod. France 91 appears on it, and Sweden 91 doesn't.

Nope, France have never finished bottom. The closest they've come is second bottom, which they did in 1973, 1998, 2000, 2005 and 2006. (Excluding 1956, but then, which the exception of the winning song, no-one knows what came where.)
  21. Since True Faith is in the top 10 "most played" tracklisting on my iPod, it has to be that. ("Blue Monday" is also on there, just not as high.)
  22. And the problem is…? The last decent Austrian song was in 1999. Also: "As long as the the Song Contest is a political parade ground and not an international entertainment programme, ORF has no desire to send more talent out of Austria to a competition where they have no chances." If you sent a good song, you might get a good position. ("Might" being the operative word here.)

:lol::lol::lol: Come on, we all know that's gonna happen just before and during Euro 2008 - as well as the zillionth chart run for Three Lions, thanks to the chart rules.

    It's true, though - that's the thing.
  25. Apparently, they've said that not even a billion dollars will see them reform.
