Why do you follow the charts?
Much like everyone else around here, a bit of both for me. :) I can't really remember why, though.

BBC gains rights to football league and league cup matches
It's more live games than ITV show at the moment - which is currently 0.
-
Top 75 Singles and Albums
So I take it last week's chart wasn't from Musicweek, since it lists A Moment Like This has the re-entry that it was.

Jeff Stelling
Didn't work, though - three minutes later, and he's still ranting. I love the reaction of the guy at the Merseyside derby afterwards.

BBC gains rights to football league and league cup matches
In the Semis of the Carling Cup, the semifinals are two legged affairs. How I am aware of that when I support Preston is a mystery. They move over to ITV and Setanta after Euro 2008.

Why have record sales gone through the roof?
As I've said before - not here, though - I'd prefer to spend 79p on a song that I know I'll like and burn it to CD rather than spend anywhere up to £4 and run the risk of only liking one song.

Are X-Factor's "Same Difference" perfect for Eurovision?
Does it really matter - no-one in Europe likes us anyway. After all, we only got points from Ireland and Malta - and there's been reports that the latter giving us their 12 this year was as a protest against the countries in the East voting for each other.

NME Magazine To Close?
I agree - I thought that Radio 1 Established 1967 was better than a three.

Boyz & Louis Back In The Zone
Let's just cut to the chase - is there anyone that DOESN'T want to reform?

Music Purchases This Week: Week Beginning 5/11/07
I bet you did. Especially since she's not as talented as her sister anyway. For me - haven't got a scooby yet. (Mind you, it is only 4.35pm on Monday.)
-
Top 75 Singles and Albums
And people are still downloading this because… Strictly speaking, shouldn't these be re-entries?
-
The Buzzjack Hate Chart 43
5 - 50 Cent (most hated) 4 - Akon 3 - Westlife 2 - McFly 1 - Sean Kingston - this would be higher if it weren't for the above two acts
-
Why have record sales gone through the roof?
I think it might be because all downloads are included in the compilation of the singles chart. Well, that's what I say, anyway.
-
NME to cease publication?
I remember when the gig ads used to be for acts that most people have heard of. I find myself going through the gig listings after them trying to find acts that I actually have heard of, then hope to God they've got tickets left.

What's Happened to the Hits, Box & Smash Hits?
A bit like entering You Say We Pay or any of the quizzes on ITV Play then. And who cares about those channels now when you've got YouTube AND can download them on iTunes for 39p more than the call.

Now 68
Amazing, isn't it - they've had EVERY number one on one of the CDs (66, 67 and 68) this year. Even more amazing is that the last No1 they missed was My Chemical Romance, and that was over a year ago.

BoxFresh
It's happened before - in 2005, Green Day released Wake Me Up When September Ends in June, and Jamiroquai released Seven Days In Sunny June in (I believe) August.

Music Purchases This Week: Week Beginning 29/10/07
Yikes. I wonder if, unlike the Westlife album of the same name*, it is. * - I remember when I was doing student radio when I was at University: I bought a copy and demonstrated that it actually wasn't unbreakable.
-
New Release Schedule (Physical): Monday 29 October
I wonder how much CO2 the distribution of this CD is going to put into the atmosphere. (Which is one of the reasons why I didn't watch it. Mind you, no-one else I know saw it either - largely 'cos of the hypocrisy of the event.)

All Star Family Fortunes
It does in my opinion - especially since she's in Coronation Street,

Scotland breathing down Englands neck
That's two reasons for us to beat Italy next month, then,.
