  1. When they were in League 1, Nottingham Forest were referred to as European Cup winners, despite their arrival in League 1 (2005) being 25 years after winning the European Cup.

They weren't in 2005. And besides, now I'm virtually limited to downloading, since HMV is now the only place that sells singles (and they rarely have more than a handful put together!).
  3. No offence, but the best way to reduce spam is to ignore it.

Don't even get me started on this. Otherwise, I'd almost literally be here forever.
  5. And that's *exactly* why they won't put it to their shareholders (i.e. you and me).
  6. You better get the tissues ready, mate. Since it's a charity song, it's more than likely going to be available in places that don't normally sell singles. *cough*supermarkets

More than I brought - 0. Which, incidentally, was how many I brought in 2006 and 2007 combined. The last single I brought was in 2005. I think I had enough of paying up to £4 when I largely only listened to one track.

Shame it's only in Bulgaria (atm).

I'll take it. Imagine how much I'd make selling them on eBay.

I can't believe this - a show on ITV that isn't football, Corrie or The X-Factor that I actually love.
  11. *I* never thought I'd see the day when Villa have more than the Big Four combined.
  12. If you looked at his/her/its previous posts, you'd see that they're all worthless.
  13. "I'd like to apologise for… Max." And I'd have seen that if I hadn't had plans tomorrow (since PNE were away at Reading).
  14. And it's not just for holidays that they do this - in 2004, David Beckham broke a rib v Wales, then got booked* so that he'd serve the suspension when he was injured, and not miss bigger games. * - In the World Cup/European Championship qualifiers, you get banned when you get booked twice. EDIT - Also, how many players sent off the game immediately before Christmas intentionally, so that they'd be banned on Boxing Day? (Especially the ones with children.)
  15. And, knowing our luck, HMV will go to the dogs (no pun intended). But it hopefully won't be that bad.
  16. Yup - http://www.searchlightmagazine.com/index.p...te&story=51 The article, believed to have been written by the sporting "expert" and betting fanatic Martin Wingfield, ended with the words "Good luck in the next round Denmark!" That next round game was against England. Who convincingly beat the Danes 3-0. Amongst the goalscorers were Rio Ferdinand and Emile Heskey.
  17. It wasn't too bad for us up in the North. But those in southern England, Wales, and Northern Ireland had the following: 1 - Action. 2 - Eon Bumper Ad (1). 3 - Black screen. 4 - Eon Bumper Ad (2). 5 - Tic Tac commercial. 6 - Car advert (the one with the song in German). 7 - Everton fans celebrating.
  18. yxsh-ImvFGs JjVFkl2ARsI And it's not often I agree with Leeds fans. But I do this time: vwwywcM_sdQ
  19. I don't know their chart positions, but Tricia Penrose released a couple of singles - Where Did Our Love Go? and Don't Wanna Be Alone. Also, was Samantha Janus a singer-turned-actress or the other way round? If the latter, she could be added: she represented the United Kingdom in Eurovision in 1991 (or whenever it was in Rome), and made No30 in the chart.
  20. So much for those predictions that sales would go down if they could be seen for free, eh?
  21. LOL at the title. Or is it because it would be difficult to understand if it was just "More Zaavi stores to close"?
  22. And nothing to do with an untested keeper (Scott Carson - who, iirc, only had one cap before that game) in for the biggest game of the campaign.
  23. Look at that - there's a mistake in the first sentence: friendlies are pointless.
  24. The latter, apparently. Let's not forget - during the 2002 World Cup, they were the only English people who wanted Denmark to win. Simply 'cos the Danes didn't have any black members.
  25. When did he become an actress or a comedienne? And I imagine soon we can add Ruth Jones (I think it's her) to this list (let's face it, her and Rob Brydon doing Islands In The Stream is probably gonna be big due to (a) it being Comic Relief, and (B) the popularity of Gavin and Stacey.)
