I think the average range for a woman is probably more like 3 octaves. I wonder how big Leona's range is. Probably bigger than average, especially since she's had training.

So could she sing that aria of the Queen of the Night from Mozart's Magic Flute that goes up to F6? It's actually quite rare that a woman can sing that high and it requires a lot of practice. In the XFactor I don't think Leona sang anything higher than A5. C4 wouldn't be head voice, that's the lower part of the soprano range. What's a "whistle range"? :blink:

Surely, nobody has a three-octave falsetto? A three-octave range is possible, in fact, a lot of people have a 3-octave range and more (as far as reaching the low and the high notes is concerned, not necessarily sounding good at both ends of the scale), but not 3 octaves of falsetto. In fact, I'm not even sure the term "falsetto" is used for female singers? :unsure:

We're talking b-sides, not live versions, and I think the recorded version of SF is the worst of all the b-sides, bar the SIO remix.

I have to say, actually, that it didn't even occur to me to invite Will. :blush: My party is all about my dad (who died 7 years ago) who was also a musician, so I invited guests that he and I would both like.
