Will's face - after being told on World Idol he needed singing lessons. Whatever happened to the winner :P
:yahoo:  Absolutely brill! Great screenie. He was ill, but still gave a really good performance!
(truly talented @ Jun 11 2007, 12:14 PM)Another priceless expression from Will.
Weren't the performances analysed afterwards on some website & Will was the only one that came out with perfect pitch. Seems judges are the same the world over.
I never heard about that, but I have to say, I'm not surprised. :D B)

 Will tops best and almost the worst list as well! Well I voted for Will as best and Mutya as worst. Will has the most unique voice out of the lot, and is a consistently good live performer. Beverley Knight would come a very close second, she's amazing. I've judged Mutya purely on live performances with Sugababes, though, as I haven't heard her solo yet. I thought she was ropey as a live singer in Sugababes.

THURSDAY 28 OF APRIL. He presented his new disc "Keep On" in Street 54 (Stroll of Havana, 3). Here we did not know this young British singer but already it clarified to Manel Sources to us that he has sold tropecientos discs in their country. It left a televising aid and he is openly gay. It was already hour of which music main stream opened the closets, after pathetic and false decades of ambiguous. It has a precious voice and a considerable pen. I was seeing him awhile in first row. a bomboncito.
He is an it, now. I'd like to see its considerable pen. Almost peeing myself laughing!
Thanks for that.

I love that track, too. The lyrics are so quirky and different. It would be cool if that was a single, though I also doubt it will be released. I just hope she does get to a third single, actually. Hopefully Soulmate will see to that, i.e. helps the album climb back up the chart into the top ten. :)

Songs that deserved to be on the albums and not relegated as 'B' sides.
If That's What You Want - cant believe he had this squirreled away :w00t:
Alibi of Love
Cry
Down
My Needs
Easy
Find it hard to come to terms with the thought that we may not get 'B' sides in the future - I disagree with remixes they are just a cop-out by the record companies. Although I did love Danny Cato's remix of FC. Will will have to have more tracks or hidden tracks to compensate.
Yeah, b-sides, that's a whole other topic...!
I'm another one who's not keen on remixes. SIO was particularly bad as, at the time, I really didn't like SIO anyway (it's grown on me quite a lot since, but I gave it only 2 out of 10 initially   ), so the remixes were a waste of perfectly good CD-space. Grrr. :banghead: Fortunately, ATL made up for it.
I will just have to be content with the new album, I guess.

Yes please Pearl.IWD & Jessica Garlick's cover are the stand out tracks for me on the Big Band Album.
Yes, "Every time we say goodbye" also has me  Jessica sings this beautifully.
I wrote an interpretation of IWD , I think early in 2003, when we had a longish thread on that song over on D. I love Beyond The Sea as well, though, no fussy, artificially elongated version as in Robbie's and Bobby's versions, just plain good old lusty singing. :D
By the way, I've already thought of another thread that could while away some time while we wait for more music from Will, but I think I'll post that up in July, after all the SPE stuff has happened. :)

I'm finding this rather hard myself! :o
But I'll give it a go:
From Now On
You and I - still not bored with this, it still rocks live!
From Now On - excellent guitar pop
What's In Goodbye - it's a personal thing, so many memories attached to that
Also rans would have to be Cruel To Be Kind, Side By Side and Lovestruck.
I probably love this album just as much now as I did when it first came out.
Friday's Child
Friday's Child - over 8 minutes of bliss
Stronger - the live version he did on the theatre tour was just stunning
Free - I love both, the album version and the laid back 2004 tour version
Also rans: LRN (cause it's a modern classic now), Very Kind and Going My Way - I think I'm one of few people who'd put this song in their top 5 of FC
Keep On
Think About It - play those horns, play those horns :yahoo:
Home
Home
Oops, I've said Home already? Ok then...
All Time Love
Close runners-up to ATL are: All I Want and Keep On
Bonus 1
I Won't Dance - the recording is just perfect, 10/10, cannot fault it, it's a classic, I'll never ever ever (NEVER EVER!) get bored with this. Sheer Bliss!
Bonus 2
All The Things You Are - it's just so beautifully sung, it's a real gem, even my sister loves this (and I was getting on her nerves with Will)
Bonus 3
Blame it on the Sun - makes me cry, too, TT
I Couldn't Love You More - not sure whether that's the right title, but it was the one he did during the outdoor summer gigs in 2004, when he played the tambourine. That line "if I lay down in the rain and died for you" always got me
Say That I Love You - that was just so rockin' and so much fun
Will's done so many excellent covers, though, like You're Welcome To The Club and Dontcha and Ain't No Sunshine, to name just a few.
Phew!

Just thought of this for a music chat thread idea:
Will has published 3 albums so far. Which 3 songs on each album are your favourites? Why (only if you want to explain)?
"Bonus question" 1: Do you prefer Beyond the Sea or I Won't Dance on the Big Band album?
"Bonus question" 2: On the MHP soundtrack, what's your favourite track?
"Bonus question" 3: Which are your 3 favourite covers that Will's ever done? They could be anything, from one off performances to recorded tracks.
I now have to go away and think about my own answers to these...

Would love to hear TAI. One of my album favs  but I agree with BYM+M's when he's not just playing to his fans he needs to stick to songs universally known.
True. Still, I'd love to hear Think About It live some time, it's one of my favourites on Keep On. Perhaps it'll get an "airing" at a gig in the future, or for the next tour.

I don't understand this criticism about personality with Leona. Who knows what sort of personality Whitney has or Kelly Clarkson if it comes to that. They've made it on account of their singing not on their personalities.
In my opinion, it's not "personality" Leona is lacking - well, for starters, everyone has a personality - but stage presence and charisma. Kelly Clarkson has it, and Whitney has it in spades. Just to be a good singer isn't enough. Stage presence can be developed, but I'm not sure about charisma, you either have it naturally or you don't.
I really really hope Simon doesn't get Leona to release Somewhere! :o I already have 2 beautiful version, one from a West Side Story soundtrack, and Barbra's version. I've always loved Barbra's voice, since I first saw Funny Girl and then Yentl.
I haven't heard the duet with Il Divo, yet, but I'm finding it hard to imagine that the boys will emotionally connect with the song.

It can't have been on votes as no one knew about it, must have been airplay and album sales, most of those in the top 10 have had good airplay
and the top 5 are played to death aren't they? Will got fantastic airplay with his releases from Friday's Child and Keep On, LRN, YG and especially WAI and ATL.
 True, I guess. Yeah, this chart could be airplay based. Dido hasn't released an album since 2003, has she?
