Well, if you actually like Will, you could make up for your little joke and say something nice for balance! Here's my letter: F is for "Friday's Child", as I was born on a Friday, so it makes me think Will is singing about me.
  2. Joe Mott's article is in his usual style, I guess, but I hope the news part of it is true and that there'll be a new release from Gareth in December or January. I'm very very curious about what he will come up with. :D Nosey wrote: 200k in Taiwan - if that's just his second album, then that's great! Still good if it's a combined figure. He will have made more money in royalties per album sold, from his second album as he co-wrote 7 songs. That would mean being able to invest that money into creating new music. Money is not just important to record companies! The more money you have, the more you can do your own thing, I'm sure, although the only way you're ever going to have complete artistic freedom is, if you release your stuff on your own record company and are loaded enough to not have to care about profits. Btw, is Taiwan the biggest share of the music market in SE Asia?
  3. When are they releasing? If it's only a couple of weeks before Christmas, their album will have no chance outselling the Arctic Monkeys, who are currently at the top over the year-to-date chart with over a million albums!
  4. I don't believe they're actually interested in making an act successful. They're just interested in advertising revenues from the programme and the money they get from our votes. I am now completely cynical! So I will definitely not vote again, as anyone's career success doesn't have anything to do with winning (see Lemar). If I end up having any favourites this year, I will hope that they don't win. As far back as PI1 (final 3), somebody wise called winning "a poisoned chalice" and I think he's been proved right a few times since.
  5. :P Aw, bless Will. I wonder whether he'll give up giving up if he doesn't get a breakthrough soon.

prettyinpink, thanks for that. :) I guess if I'd opened my eyes a bit more, I could have found it for myself. lazy old me. ;) I like the blue-green colour scheme of his myspace site.

Hi there! I have a question. It was mentioned on this thread that Darius has a "myspace" site. Does anyone have a link for that, please, and do you need to be a member to access it? Lastly, does he put new music on there? Thanks. :)

That is just so so fabulous, and probably the happiest looking clip of Will ever. It makes me feel so happy :D that I want to cry! Plus, his charisma shines through, blindingly so! Gorgeous man!
  9. Thanks, munchkin. Just 2 months, 1 week and 4 days to go for me. :cheer:
  10. Yeah, it was up the creak for me, too. Seemed better again half an hour ago and now it's slowed right down again. :arrr: Toni xxx

I don't know what a Kudu picture is either. But here comes an early one of Will (LMF video days). Just gorgeous. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v146/Toni2601/misc/theyoungone.jpg

I think after its entry outside the top 10, WAI has done better than expected, to still hang on in there. :) The sales for ATL are quite pleasing, too. :yahoo:
  14. Haven't been on here for a while. Sorry. I'll have a browse. This forum is still looking very good. Well done, suggy (mod-person). :)

Tim and Kelly mentioned Leann Rimes. I agree, she's amazing! :o

No men in your list. Good list although Aguilera is too shouty for my taste. I'm trying to think of some more female British singers... Annie Lennox perhaps. :) On the male side, I haven't heard that many live, but Will Young and Jamie Cullum are good. JC, particularly, has come on leaps and bounds on the vocal side.

I hope they show that footage on the update tonight! :o

Sezer - by a long mile. Can't stand his arrogance. I'm even tempted to vote, in the hope that we'll get to see the shock on his face when he's told that he's been evicted!

:D  I've just guessed 9 or more. That's easy to say NOW. But I'll probably be wrong. Tomorrow's mids will tell me.
  20. I agree with that. The difference for me is that I love "Crazy" (and I haven't heard it too often yet as I don't listen to the radio), but I don't love "You're Beautiful" (it's just okay). I'm looking forward to the next single from Gnarls Barkley, though, I've heard it's even better!

I agree. Excellent news. :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: I was really sad when it ended. :( It was bad enough when Cat Deeley left, but then scrapping the whole show almost depressed me. Plus, not even Popworld to revert to, as Simon and Miquita are gone and I dislike Alex Zane quite a lot. So, hooray for the return of CD:UK! :D
  22. Can't answer that accurately (maybe a Gareth fan can?), but I just stumbled upon Gareth's page on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gareth_Gates#Outside_the_UK I'd never seen this before. I was looking for the 2006 Young Entertainers Rich List online, that's how I found this. The info, from what I can tell, is fairly accurate, though I don't know how comprehensive it is, in terms of his success abroad.
  23. Val, that WAS the Amazon prize. I think all their singles cost £3.99. :o In the shops it will be £1.99. The writeup is also from Amazon, and they got it wrong, calling Keep On a number 1 album. It didn't happen this time.
  24. Same here. I think it will just scrape into the top 10, sadly. :( But the album will climb. B)

Excellent! :cheer: Must be the Easter present effect this week, but Keep On has just kept on and on (like a Duracell battery ).
