  1. Thanks for the info re: Horne & Corden, TT. :) Glad it's not on tonight, as there're always plenty of people who manage to miss Will when he's on just one programme, let alone two! :o :)
  2. There's a little article in the Bizarre section of today's Sun (I picked up a discarded part of a copy on the tube, wouldn't normally buy it ), about Matthew Horne praising Will's appearance on his and James Corden's show. Might Will be on tonight's episode? http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00j8fh9 The Bizarre article is online here: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showb...icle2323076.ece

Wouldn't be Louis Walsh by any chance  This person really needs to step back and take stock of how they come across - because they are gradually losing all hold on reality. I just hope you can all get back on track over there. P.S. I just noticed it's post has been deleted - had a feeling that last one was a bit desperate and would be picked up on  Louis Walsh! Yeah, why aren't they naming those with "a different opinion of Will Young". Surely it would be easy enough to find those quotes... This person also needs to work on their apostrophy use! :D
  4. He looks very cute in those photos, thanks for them! :)

Wow, munchkin, I've never seen that before. Our friend over on the other side would probably say Will's management paid Mr Olsson-Nelson to write that.

Thanks for copying the scan over, munchkin. Nice little article. Still have to work out a way to watch this.

Thanks for understanding, people. I think this is what ultimately pushed me to post a reply to her. Because I have no problem hearing with my ears that Will can occasional hit an off-key note, and admitting it, despite being a "fanatic", but she claims he sings out of tune a lot of the time. It's like accusing a thief who has stolen a tenner of having stolen £1000s. Won't quote her again now, I promise :D; she still thinks it's a matter of opinion  and I maintain it's a matter of scientific fact that my scientific ears can determine. Thanks for posting about that pitch tester test, I feel vindicated now. :D

Toni it's your perogative if you want to answer her but surely you can see from scrolling through the thread that there is no reasoning with her. Many Will fans have posted in there that they have her on ignore but they cannot avoid what she is saying when she is quoted. I know of two people who have said they will probably stop posting on DS due to her posts which I think is really sad. :( That is sad. But I don't understand it. Posts like hers wouldn't put me off a forum. I wanted to see whether she could come back with any explanation. Looks like she's tried, and failed, imo. I'm afraid I've answered her again. Sorry if that annoys anyone. :( The whole off-tune singing accusation of hers puzzles me the most. I've heard him accused of sounding like a goat when he sings (which is not very nice, but it's still an opinion), but this is the first time I've seen posts by anyone who dislikes him saying he's off-key. It's just not factually correct and it cannot be a matter of opinion. Actually, I think I might call it a vicious attack and a lie, if she makes a similar post about one of his pitch-perfect performances. The more I think about it, the more it riles me, actually.

I just felt the urge to comment on Amanda's several posts. Ignoring her hasn't seemed to have worked in terms of her leaving the Will thread over on DS alone. Just wanted express my opinion on some of her rantings. As for Lemar's career being in decline, maybe no-one is shouting about it or maybe you haven't looked carefully enough - fair enough, it would be a waste of precious time to look for these sort of things! - but I actually don't see many people talking about Lemar at all. That's say enough. Thankfully, Will's career still is very healthy, as you say :) but it's true that there's been a dramatic decline in both, album sales and concert ticket sales. There wasn't nearly as much panic about getting tickets for the last tour as there was for his previous ones, and he played to far fewer people in total this time. Twas a fantastic tour, of course  and I hope there'll be more to come. Personally, I don't mind smaller tours/venues, but it's a shame Will isn't having the scale of success he deserves.
  10. Let It Go is my favourite Will Young album to date. :D It's the most rounded and much more like a whole, integral piece of (art)work. Friday's Child and Keep On follow after that. FC and KO are much more piecemeal. Someone mentioned Dance The Night Away being one of their least favourites on FC - well, it's one of my favourites. :D Thank goodness we all have different tastes. Faves and least faves - From Now On Faves: Cruel To Be Kind, Fine Line, From Now On, Lovestruck, You and I, What's In Goodbye (I'm almost alone with that one!) Least faves: TLAWR, Evergreen, Evergreen and Evergreen (except for certain live versions) Friday's Child Faves: Free, Very Kind, Stronger, Dance The Night Away, Going My Way, Friday's Child Least faves: Out of My Mind and Love Is A Matter of Distance - though there aren't any tracks that are really dislike Keep On Strong faves (standouts): All Time Love, All I Want, Think About It and Home - these 4 are amazing Other faves: Keep On, Ain't Such A Bad Place To Be, Happiness Least faves: Switch It On, Think It Over and Save Yourself Let It Go I'll start with the least faves, as I really struggle to name any: Free My Mind and I Won't Give Up (although I actually think it would make a good single!). Don't dislike them, just like them a little bit less than the rest of the album. I actually like all the songs! Standout, strong (super-)faves: If Love Equals Nothing, Tell Me The Worst, You Don't Know, Won't Look Down, Love, Changes Other faves: Grace and Simple Philosophy, Let It Go I also love the i-tunes extra, This Is Who I Am, though I can see how it didn't fit on the album.

Well, I would actually agree with him on that, looking purely at Will's album sales (without comparing to other artists). Let It Go may not reach double platinum. That would make it his lowest selling album to date. In theory you could say Will's success, figure-wise, has been declining after Friday's Child. Thank goodness he's still selling well enough to warrant a 5th album.

Have a great trip, chrysalis, I didn't know you were going away. That's probably because I'm not on here that much.
  13. Agreed, that's basically what I meant to say. Don't like LW at all (disliked him from the first time I saw him on telly), I think he's two-faced and all sorts of other things, but I don't like to call people names (especially not using that one!), since I wouldn't want to be called names either. :) Brilliant news, TT, about the Corden/Horne thing. :D I hope they are better actors then they are presenters (Brits, anyone?).
  14. I really cannot stand that word beginning with "c". :( So, for entirely personal reasons I'm a little sad Will has used that. Thanks for bringing over Bumbling's scan, F/G.

I think I might have to visit Fran that day to watch it (if she's watching it) and stay over (if she'll let me). This programme is the first one I really really really don't want to miss since I gave up my television. I think it will be really interesting, but will leave us yearning for more music, which is not so good for us  but potentially good for the general public. ;) I really hope it gets good ratings.

I'm relieved that the single hasn't missed the top 40 (yet). Fingers crossed it can just hang on in there till Sunday. I'd be sad if such a beautiful song became Will's first single to miss the top 40 altogether. I can see how that might happen, though. :( I'm pleased to see the album back in the top 30. Maybe it'll climb a little more... dare I hope it'll go back into top 20 over the next 12 days? :)

It's a little bit embarrassing for the O/S. :( How on earth did Perez Hilton get hold of the vid before anybody else? :o
  18. Oh, nice clip of the 4music performance of Will's of Changes just now, as they run down the nominees for Best Male. :) Unfortunately, though, he just asked his driver  who he thinks will win and he said ( - after a few expletives  ) James Morrisson. :P So they're showing a video of him performing Broken Strings on 4Music with some stand-in for Nelly. Naturally.
  19. Haha, I'm just watching 4music (at work  - don't have much to do) and there's a programme just started now called the "Brit Tips". No idea who the presenter is, but he started off by marking the date of the Brits in his calendar... and then in his other calendar, which was a Will Young calendar!! :D Finally, he also marked it in a David Cassidy (I think) calendar! Just thought that was funny  and sweet and kind of... I don't know. There were no sarky comments! :)
  20. I wonder when we're gonna learn the date of the South Bank Show transmission.

This was a stunning performance! I listened to it about 10 times over headphones yesterday. :o :D Beautiful.

I think the last time I'd been to the dentist was in 2001 (and before then I hadn't been for something like 17 years ). It's not that I'm petrified, but I like to spend my money on something else. Why should we have to pay £40 or something just for a check-up? After all, going to the GP doesn't cost anything. Okay, going to the GP involves mainly people talking, but having a cyst taken out my back at my GP's a couple years ago, which was minor surgery involving local anaesthetic, didn't cost anything extra! If I had money to spare right now, I probably would go to the dentist. I need a crown, and I suppose a check-up would be good. But it'll have to wait another couple of years, I'd say. Keeping books in the loo is definitely a good thing, especially for guests!

Hiya TT, hiya Billy! ;) I'm reading 3 books at the same time at the moment: The Reader (it's really good), The Shack (amazing) and a German book about women over 40. :D This last one I need to finish by the end of the month as a friend had lent it to me about 2 years ago   and I promised to give it back in March, whether I'd read it or not! Had a really productive day at work yesterday (exhausting though) and am just generally settling into my job a bit more, so I'm quite happy right now. :D Hope everyone has a great day. :cheer:

Oh, brilliant. Maybe I'll be able to watch this. :D
