  1. I wonder when we're gonna learn the date of the South Bank Show transmission.

This was a stunning performance! I listened to it about 10 times over headphones yesterday. :o :D Beautiful.

I think the last time I'd been to the dentist was in 2001 (and before then I hadn't been for something like 17 years ). It's not that I'm petrified, but I like to spend my money on something else. Why should we have to pay £40 or something just for a check-up? After all, going to the GP doesn't cost anything. Okay, going to the GP involves mainly people talking, but having a cyst taken out my back at my GP's a couple years ago, which was minor surgery involving local anaesthetic, didn't cost anything extra! If I had money to spare right now, I probably would go to the dentist. I need a crown, and I suppose a check-up would be good. But it'll have to wait another couple of years, I'd say. Keeping books in the loo is definitely a good thing, especially for guests!

Hiya TT, hiya Billy! ;) I'm reading 3 books at the same time at the moment: The Reader (it's really good), The Shack (amazing) and a German book about women over 40. :D This last one I need to finish by the end of the month as a friend had lent it to me about 2 years ago   and I promised to give it back in March, whether I'd read it or not! Had a really productive day at work yesterday (exhausting though) and am just generally settling into my job a bit more, so I'm quite happy right now. :D Hope everyone has a great day. :cheer:

 That's absolutely hilarious, Chrysalis, thanks very much for that. I want that hot water bottle :o

Oh, brilliant. Maybe I'll be able to watch this. :D

Oh, wow! :o Really must get to a computer where I can view the photos and/or the video. Has the video premiered yet?
  8. It's funny, this morning I passed a colleague's office and she had the radio on, with Let It Go playing! :D I chatted to her, saying that Will was my favourite singer and she said, oh yes, I really like him. I will never forget when he was on X-Factor - I corrected her, saying that it was Pop Idol ;) - and won and sang that song, Evergreen (she loves it, bless her). I told her that it was exactly 7 years ago to date and we chatted how that show captured the public's imagination as no other talent show since! Then she showed me Will's latest album, said someone had given it to her for Christmas, but she hadn't listened to it yet. I encouraged her to do that soon, of course. ;)

OH, I'm extremely curious now. Must find an internet cafe to watch this. Unfortunately I'm internet-less at home at the moment. :(
  10. Didn't know that, suggy. Well, it's my "fatherland", and I am in fact going to Germany, to visit my brother and his family in Hamburg plus my sister, mum and nephew in Oldenburg, which is my hometown - even though no-one has given me £325. I'm just gonna do some frugal living. Will probably book the flight tomorrow. :)

Dang, I wanna know what everybody is so happy about???

Ah, what's that? I so out of the loop! Too much work, no access to D, and not much time to go on there, anyway... Still, I'm quite happy as my boss has just agreed my holiday, so I'm going to see family over Easter. :yahoo: And I've lost 5lbs this week. Slimness here I come... hopefully by next Christmas. Only 4 3/4 stones to go... ;) I know, none of this is Will-related, but it sure makes me happy. :w00t:
  13. TT - that's brilliant, thanks! :D I am yet to see it. Have no laptop at home at the mo, have been using my flatmate's when he hadn't taken it with him. Pearl - I think it was indeed Paul Weller singing on that show, definitely not Franz Ferdinand.
  14. I doubt it's televised. An old acquaintance of mine was (or still is?) a member of the Hurlingham Club. :o This is definitely out of my price range, too. And if someone gave me £325 right now, I'd spend it on going to Germany for Easter. ;) There are limits. Good to see that Will is still doing stuff for one of his "oldest" charities. :D
  15. Yeah, quite right! <_< heat really have been quite lovely since the summer! :D I'm really looking forward to the video for the new single. :cheer: Although I've watched the videos for Changes and Grace plenty of times, they're not my favourites, so I'm hoping for a classy, clever video (although I'd really hoped for a performance one - might still the case, though) - not that the others weren't, of course. Are there any news re radio play, yet?

Thank you one and all! :) I did have a rather nice, relaxed afternoon and evening (and fairly stressful morning at work ;)). TT - love that photo of Will!
  17. Thanks for that info. Don't think I've ever used the backup site. I probably won't have time to log in anyway, Really busy at work and this weekend, too.

Sorry, munchkin, I missed this! Hope you had a lovely day and that you have a great year ahead. :D

I didn't think Titanic was that bad. ;) Kate Winslet is my favourite British actress. In that category are also Emma Thompson and Juliet Stevenson. I also liked Kate in Sense and Sensibility (1995), Hideous Kinky (1998) and Holy Smoke (1999). Oh, and I adored The Holiday. Kate can do anything from lightweight romantic comedy to totally messed up. Maybe she'll get that Oscar this year, although I think Angelina is going to pip her. I'd say a BAFTA is almost guaranteed as she's got two noms in the Best Actress category. Lastly, I also bought What If - love the song and Kate's got a beautiful voice. Maybe she'll be in a musical film some time.

Thanks, TT. So I guess it's not worth putting a tenner on Will to win. ;) Not that I have ever gambled! Might have been tempted this time. At least he's second, and the bookies aren't always right. It might still be Paul Weller or Ian Brown who get it. ;) If The Streets get it again, I will be very cross. :banghead: :lame:
  21. No worries, I didn't think you were having a go. And you are one of those people who, when they see nitpicking and over-analysing they just don't bother reading it, rather moaning about every time it happens, am I right? :) I thought Question Time wasn't till Feb 5th, has it been brought forward a week?

Hi, could someone tell me what the odds are for Will to win the best male award, and also the other nominee's odds? I can't go to that link posted by TT, due to restrictions. Thanks.
  23. Thanks for the scan, munchkin! :) What's happening next Thursday? Nothing wrong with a good old "hair thread" over on D. I never understand people who moan about people giving their opinions. I'm sure Will would find it hilarious that "we" care so much about his hair.
  24. Are the people at the Mirror feeling alright? No nastiness of late! :) I loved the vid for LMF, so black & white is just fine with me. I'm not so sure I like his darker hair, though. I think highlights would suit him. ;)

His hair looks really dark in some of the pictures of him at that event. I wonder whether he's dyed it? Agree with you, TT, about the Best Male award - as will everyone in this forum, I reckon. ;)
