OS Update January 12th/13th
... and it wasn't Christmas either, but quite a "dead" time of year, 2 weeks after Valentine's/2 weeks before Mothering Sunday and nowhere near Easter! Me, too, that was so special.

Put your own Will Young album together
Okay, finally I've managed to decide on one possibility. This is actually really hard  so I'm not surprised others haven't done that either. Anyway, here goes, not sure about the orders of songs, but I think I'd like these two discs: Disc One (15 tracks) Stronger Lovestruck Over You Ticket To Love Alibi of Love Cry You and I Don’t Let Me Be Lonely Tonight Going My Way Ready Or Not Dance The Night Away Free From Now On Say That I Love You Keep On Disc Two (13 tracks) Friday’s Child This Is Who I Am All Time Love Tell Me The Worst Changes Ain’t Such A Bad Place To Be If Love Equals Nothing Won’t Look Down Think About It All I Want You Don’t Know Love Home One thing that is really important to me in an album is that I like the opening track and the last track. For me, I like the closing tracks on the Will's first 3 albums, but the opening ones only on his last 2 albums. So, for Keep On, Will got it right, hehe. ;)

A little bit of joking is ok in my book, but they took it just a couple of nuances too far. Typical! Good info, though. :)

OS Update January 12th/13th
Yep, you're quite right. There's a big difference between selling 500k+ singles a week with half of them costing just 79p and selling 1.108m physical singles at £3.99. :D

Put your own Will Young album together
Yeah, I know, I think even Will would see the reasoning and sentiment behind that. I think I might even include it myself, but as a hidden track tucked away at the end of the first disc, and probably a live version (from the Winter Tour DVD perhaps as that one sounded quite beautiful  ). I'll come up with my own Will-album, soon, this weekend! Haven't really had time this week (work and all that).

I'd buy that album, suggy! :D But I'd skip the first track.

New Gareth Gates CD
Had a great time yesterday at the panto. :) I was actually front row (didn't know beforehand that I would be). My only criticism of the show would be that it was over-long, they could have cut down a little on the ugly stepsisters and Button's bits, but then I guess those parts are the most fun for the little children. The costumes were gorgeous (and truly garish when it came to the ugly stepsisters ). Gareth's singing was good, he has improved a lot since PI and is now virtually pitch-perfect, and his diction has improved, too, which is very important for musical theatre, so I guess this is good training for him for Joseph. His acting was good, too, not a single glitch or hiccup in his speech! :) I guess for him, speaking is easier when it's scripted than when he's in an interview situation and has to think and speak "on the hoof" so to speak. Joanna Page (Cinderella) was the weaker singer of the two females, but she was sweet. The lady who played the fairy godmother (Louise s.th. I think) sang really well. Met an elderly Gareth fan who was also in the front row. She told me she'd been 17 times to see the show! :o That's devotion. Don't think I could stand that, even if all my favourite singers filled the main roles. She had a banner that read s.th. like "Gareth, supporting you always", which she was hoping to get signed afterwards. Hope she managed to meet him or sees him on one of the other occasions she's seeing the show. I think I will try to get tickets for Joseph. :D

What are your hopes for Will in 2009/10
I killed my own thread in the first post! Maybe somebody else can dream about 2010 then. Like, what about that film...? ;)

Calendar for 2009
:yahoo: Rah, I love it! The cover is just too gorgeous, and for once january is great (I don't know why but I often find with calendars people don't bother with January, it's like: oh, people won't care too much, they have a hangover from December ). January is important to me as it is my birthday month. ;) Oh, and Rupert has muscled his way in, well done laddie. :P

What are your hopes for Will in 2009/10
My wild dreams for Will: Feb 2009 South Bank Show - check! - obviously not a wild dream, just really looking forward to this :) Brit Award: Best British Male  plus a live performance  - it would be long overdue! Some good promotion with this and great airplay April 2009 Arena tour announcement for September & October May 2009 We find out that Will is going to star in a film (main role) and speculation begins June 2009 Glasto - Will performs again and his performance is shown on television! :D Rest of summer 2009 Will pops up here and there (festivals), releases a 4th single (Won't Look Down or I Won't Give Up) but we get a little break Sep/Oct 2009 Autumn tour :yahoo: November 2009 He starts filming for his new film :w00t: but still has time to... ... release the deluxe album with 8 new chillout/disco tracks (recorded live!) on an extra CD Dualdisc which also contains live concert footage from his Keep On and Let It Go tour plus other gems. (I'm not greedy at all! :naughty:  ) December 2009 Let It Go (Deluxe Dualdisc) goes to No. 1 :cheer: and goes on to sell more than 500k (after the original version of LIG had gone 2x platinum by the end of summer) 2010 will follow....

Will's Song List 2001-2013
Ta. I'm hoping for further additions in 2009, e.g. a b-side (although I doubt we'll see any more physical single releases), or some extra songs published with the "deluxe" edition, if there's gonna be one :w00t: or some new covers he does at the festivals (hopefully), etc etc etc. :yahoo: BTW, there's now a total of 132 songs on that list! :o Quite a few one-offs (or twice-offs ), but still! Impressive!

New Gareth Gates CD
Off topic, but this is the newest Gareth thread, so I'll post here. Just wanted to say, I'm going to see Cinderella tomorrow and am really looking forward to it. Have only ever seen 1 panto before, back in the early 90s. It's my January treat. :D

Calendar for 2009
Oh, lovely. I'm not too keen on the official one . Much as I think Will cuts a handsome figure in a suit, I thought the selection of photos is just too samey and lacking in imagination.

Will's Song List 2001-2013
We've got another one to add, which was only just squeezed into 2008! ;)

Put your own Will Young album together
Yep, the first category is anything he's already performed live (e.g. I Couldn't Love You More, or even Until You Come Back To Me from his time on PI) The second category is anything you would like to hear Will cover. For instance, I would love to hear another Elton John song from Will, e.g. Your Song, maybe. Or perhaps another Joni Mitchell song. I agree, this is hard. Maybe we can also throw in a couple of dream duets! :D I just thought we might delay the boot & immune a little longer by something like this. ;) Truth is, I don't wanna do a b&i for LIG, as I don't want to boot anything off, the album is just too good.

New single
Me, too, though I'd begun to look forward to I Won't Give Up and started imagining the vid! Can you imagine the video for Let It Go, though? I find it hard to think of anything other than a performance video - and it would have to be LIVE!

Daily News, Gossip and Chat,, TV,Press,Mags,Radio etc,3
It was a post by BanYellowM&Ms - 3rd single QUOTE Former-Pop Idol winner Will Young has revealed a surprising dream collaborator - screechy Icelandic popstrel Bjork. Berkshire-born Will expressed his admiration for the singer and actress, claiming that she tops his wish-list of artists to work with. He told the Daily Star: "My number one person to do work with is Björk. If she wanted to do something with me I'd be there in a flash." Will Young's new single, 'I Won't Give Up', is due for release in March. Each album of Will's i have always loved 2 of the 3 singles released...it's the same for LIG Changes and now 'I won't give up' Turns out this article was wrong after all!

Oh, only just read about I Won't Give Up being the 3rd single! :o So, I can honestly say, I heard it on Buzzjack first!

Put your own Will Young album together
What would your ideal Will Young double album look like, created with the following rules a) no more than 28 tracks altogether B) up to 7 tracks from each album c) up to 4 original b-sides (so no Hey Ya in this category) d) up to 2 covers he's already done e) up to 2 covers you would like to hear from Will I now have to go away and think about this one. ;)

Buzzjack music awards
The poll was supposed to finish on the 31st of December, so I'm assuming it's all over?

Happychat thread part trois!
the thing is, with this album, some serious fights could break out, since it's just sooo good! I wouldn't know where to start in terms of booting any of the songs off, as none of them deserve to go first, imo. Well, maybe one, but for second I really wouldn't know. Off topic: I was going to go out today to enjoy the dry, sunny weather, but now it's getting dark.

Your ideal celebrity Big Brother lineup?
Doesn't matter, does it? I've only read the first few names on the first list on here, so I'll hopefully come up with some new ones. Hm. 1. Will Young - yeah, I know , but I think apart from being a great singer he's also hilarious! 2. Jack Black - again, very funny bloke, and a musician, too, there'll be a few ;) 3. Robin Williams - more genius comedy 4. Daniel Bedingfield 5. Barbra Streisand 6. Jamie Foxx 7. Jane Horrocks - genius comedienne and talented singer to boot! (Anyone detecting a theme? ;)) 8. Will Smith 9. Denzel Washington 10. Patrick Dempsey 11. Julia Roberts 12. Tamsin Greig 13. Liza Minelli 14. Toni, i.e. Myself - And before anyone protests, I have one name for you: Chantelle! Basically, is most of my favourite singers/actors and comedians. :) Might as well have some fun. And I'd provide plenty of musical instruments.

The Best Television Music Talent Show Winner
We could do a separate poll for "best also-rans" with the likes of Liberty X in it. In this poll I voted - perhaps predictably  - for Will Young, for all the reasons mentioned in this thread plus for being a great, creative singer with a unique voice, but also because he's had the highest number of successful studio albums, apart from Girls Aloud, although Will still trounces GA in overall sales, I think. Maybe GA's current album could become their first million seller? As for second best, I would have to say Leona because she has an amazing voice. But I haven't bought her first album. I'm waiting for her next to see what she and those who are working with her are made of. I kind of liked Alex Parks on FA, but found her otherwise boring. Isn't she the only talent show winner of the noughties who didn't have a no. 1 single?
