Anybody else heard about Amazon's Black Friday? http://www.amazon.co.uk/Black-Friday-Deals...;pf_rd_i=468294 I thought they were just going to be all electrical things and they won't reduce the price of cds/dvds: I was wrong, Amazon have just tweeted their first headline grabbing deal: Black Friday Deals Week starts Monday at 9am - Take That 'Progress' CD for £1. That's the biggest CD of the year for ONE POUND :o :o :o :o :o :o Can't wait to see the rest of the deals now! ^_^
  3. Um can somebody explain why I've turned my TV on and Sophie E.B is on singing 'HeartBreak Make Me a Dancer' on Alan Titchmarsh  Is she re releasing?
  4. Massive long trailer for the Vampire Diaries just aired on ITV featuring 'Making You Feel My Love It's just never going to go away!

Ah my mistake, I was thinking of Party Girl's final position. Yeh that's a good point, you would only realise Taio Cruz was on it from the video really. I wasn't keen on Shine A Light at first but I really like it now, the performance on Paul O grady was really good. :) Yeh it's supposed to be a double wedding - Ronnie/Jack and Kat/Alfie renewing their vows but I don't know if both actually happen or not, just saw it on my tv guide :)

I just think with the album only a week later, most people are going to wait for that. (Take That) I know I am. So not too surprised to see it only just at number 1 today and likely to be overtaken by Rihanna tomorrow. Shayne is doing better than many expected but I'm most surprised at Mcfly. It's doing better than their lead single. I know their sales are always front loaded and extremely likely to fall but even its performance on Itunes has surprised me, they haven't done massive amounts of promotion just Paul O Grady, and I haven't seen it frequently on the music channels. Is its success down to Taio Cruz? Mcfly likely to drop as the week moves on, not sure if Shayne will drop off too or maybe overtake them, given he is ahead on Itunes. Mcfly's physicals are always good and they have two CD's priced at £1.99 and £2.99. Shayne has one at £2.99 - 2 track and includes a poster. Adele could climb higher than them all, by the end of the week, I've noticed there are two weddings scheduled on Eastenders this week - could be prime for more Make You Feel My Love
  7. Wow! Shayne is doing exceptionally well! Good performance that has worked wonders for him. Good for him! A less competitive week and he could have had a shot at number 1, shows the fanbase is still there. Pleased for him
  8. It's worth pointing out that although Cher has such a massive number of ratings, almost as many are negative, as they are positive ie a lot of 1 star ratings hence an overall rating of 3/5. That shows that she is still the talking point, with many people loving her and a lot of people hating her, but they can't ignore her, a lot of people have gone to the trouble of posting 1 star reviews to bring her ratings down. Then, there's ratings like Rebecca and Aiden who haven't had quite as many ratings but have a better overall score, showing those who bothered to rate them on the whole LOVE them. People like John and TreyC actually have an overall better rating than Cher but nowhere near the number of ratings which shows the people who like them, really do rate them but there's just not enough of them, hence the bottom 2. For Matt to have so many ratings and for them to even out as 5 stars overall, shows he is universally loved, and I can't see any other result than him leading the Itune sales, and subsequently the vote every week so far by a substantial amount. He has yet to put a foot wrong. I think that is pretty much going to be the Top 5, if you swap around Wagner (whose ratings are mainly negative) and Rebecca (I bloody hope so!) but I wouldn't rule out a shock early elimination for Cher, she does seem to have a lot of 'haterz', it depends if her fans outweigh those haterz, otherwise I could see maybe someone universally liked, like Paije sneaking the top 5 ahead of her. Oh and Glee on X factor, I can't see happening but I sure would bloody love it, if it did! I'm sure Cowell will move heaven and earth to try and make it happen!
  9. Previews of the songs are up on Amazon, 'Human' is not The Killers, (Phew!) Nobody Knows IS a cover but it's not Pink it's this! With a reggae backing! Nobody Knows It But Me Can't believe they've shoved a cover of that on. OMG! Must Be A Reason Why is a sample of 'King of My Castle!' - Wamdue Project! I kid you not! :puke2: Seriously Shayne 3 years, just 10 songs and that's all they can come up with?! http://tiny.cc/7yyuq
  10. Definitely agree there, most of their 'original' songs are VILE: I'm looking at you Bop Bop Baby and Hey Whatever  Ah so this thread confirms my question of "was that song played over the end of Marlon's audition on X factor on Sunday, the new westlife single per chance?" And what do you know, it is, I thought it sounded suspiciously like Westlife but it sounded pretty good in all fairness, I think I may like it. It may become the second only Westlife song on my ipod after World of Our Own of course.
  11. Pardon me for straying off Katy topic but what on earth is up with Finn in your sig Jonjo?! He looks about 12, which is no mean feat given Cory's actual age :o My rate: One of the Boys vs. Teenage Dream I Kissed a Girlvs Last Friday Night Waking Up Vegas vs. California Gurls Thinking of You vs. Firework Mannequin vs. Peacock Ur So Gay vs. Circle The Drain Hot N Cold vs. The One That Got Away If You Can Afford Me vs. E.T. - Hardest one for me I love IYCAM but I'll have to go withE.T. Lost vs. Who Am I Living For? Self Inflicted vs. Pearl I'm Still Breathing vs. Hummingbird Heartbeat Fingerprints vs.Not Like The Movies
  12. Still loving this album, walked into HMV this morning and 'Circle The Drain' was blasting out whilst the shop was full of mums and kids browsing on the last few days of the summer holidays. Sure enough the chorus got some shocking looks particularly as it really was so loud, one mum looked so embarrassed. Circle The Drain is actually the one that has grown on me the most, I really love it now, I tend to seek it straight away but I love the whole album, just listening to it now with headphones for the first time, and it sounds really great, Katy's vocals sound so much stronger through headphones particularly on Firework. Katy is on Alan Carr's last Chatty Man with fellow guests Paul O Grady, Brandon Flowers and Davina McCall. Can't wait!
  13. Have listened to the album all the way through several times now and I LOVE it, it's pop perfection for me, the only one I'm ever so slightly tempted to skip is 'Who Am I Living For?' but even that's a solid 7 for me. Teenage Dream - Loved it on first listen, never gets boring, just love it, love it, love it, surprisingly this and not Cali Gurls is my soundtrack of the summer. 10 Last Friday Night - Fab! Will become the soundtrack to my girly night outs from now on. LOVE that sax another 10 California Gurls - Perhaps suffering from overplay now, it's still a great summer pop song, that sounds great when the sun is shining 8 Firework - I wasn't immediately taken with this, considering it's many people's highlight but I get it now, very uplifting 8 Peacock - Just fun! puts a smile on my face and very addictive 9 Circle The Drain - Hated this on preview but really like it in full 8 The One That Got Away - Aww I love this, it's very simple but cute, reminds you of teenage days9 E.T. - ADORE, most played already 10 Who Am I Living For? - Not one I especially keep coming back to, but it's growing on every listen 7 Pearl - Really lovely and Katy sounds pretty good on it, nice lyrics9 Hummingbird Heartbeat - Most addictive, been in my head all day, really reminds me of 80s films for some random reason. Cheesy but I LOVE it 10 Not Like The Movies - A perfect album closer, not normally a fan of Katy ballads with the exception of the amazing Thinking of You, but really like this8 My ratings are pretty high there but I really do love the album, just great pop
  14. I got my cd yesterday with HMV on pre order and thankfully prints are the same square size as the CD case so if (like me!) the text annoys anyone too much, you can do what I've done and slot the print of Katy lying on the candy floss without text in front of the booklet. Love the album have it on now blasting out :cheer: Will rate it when I'm finished :)
  15. Noticed that the UK has a more censored version of Teenage Dream video out. Not as many hot scenes with Katy and the guy. Shame! I haven't listened to all the songs yet, managed to resist but I ADORE E.T
  16. Ah thought it might have been you, heard someone ask if you were the one with the username picture of a hand and you were the only person I could think of with that picture No I'm slightly further right on that picture, I think I was almost in line with you when you took it, I remember you taking it :D Was a fabulous gig! PS is Devoted down again? Getting server not found! :(
  17. Aww I posted my review up in D but I think it was you guys that were close to me, discussing usernames and what not.Did one of you have a longish brown/grey top on and boots? I'll say hello next time, I wasn't sure who everybody was :P
  18. There was a cryptic message about 'not all being first timers' on the 606 thread but that mysteriously seems to have disappeared now unless my eyes were deceiving me  I think nanny was only half joking when she said about a rise in sale of burkhas, and to be honest it wouldn't surprise me the length some fans will go to. If that's true though I just think that is incredibly sad and if there were peeps there who deliberately tried to flout the CLEAR message the 606 gave, they should be ashamed of themselves! Anyway, what an absolute pleasure to read so many first time reports from this one, the joy and excitement was palpable from their words, and were an absolute pleasure to read. Got me all excited for me seeing Will for the first time in months on Sunday!!! (a very pleasant and unexpected surprise  )
  19. Just bumping this up as I've just had a nice surprise of tickets for this popping through my door this morning! No note or anything with it, can only be a winner in the competition in The Sun newspaper because I haven't entered anything else! I'm really thrilled about this as I wasn't planning on going to any Will concerts this summer, and tried to be all cool about not going but having just had the chance to listen to Radio 2 performance (BLOODY AMAZING!) I am GAGGING to go! Tatton is my closest venue and I went to the last one there but I just remember it being a bit of a nightmare to get to and get out after the gig so bit worried about that aspect of it but cannot wait to see the gig itself, so excited now having resigned myself to a Will-less summer :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:
  20. Hello ladies, just been browsing Devoted to catch up on all the summer gig news, it sounds fabulous and I'm really disappointed I can't go to any this time round, anyway just happened to click on new posts and saw the latest about 606. First of all this is fantastic news and what the event was crying out for: "In order to ensure that as many fans as possible can get to see Will perform here at the Club we will be asking you to confirm that neither you nor any of your guests have previously attended any of his gigs at The 606 Club. We are sure that you will be happy to cooperate with us in this matter but please note that should we recognise you or any member of your party as having attended one of Will’s gigs here before we do reserve the right to refuse entry to the entire party " There is no way you can argue with that, it's a completely fair and sensible request. Secondly I am THRILLED to bits at the new names that have acquired tickets this time round! Chuffed to bits for you lovely NE ladies Gill and Ros in particular, absolutely thrilled to bits, I hope others can be successful. Massive kudos to the 606 club for making a stand with this!
  21. Wowsers I haven't posted on Devoted for a long time, just eased back in the last couple of days mainly because life took over but partly because of how the site was going, things started to niggle and I didn't get the same enjoyment from it, wow it's kicked off somewhat  Firstly I must say I have never applied for any of the 606 shows for 1 simple reason mainly: I work in a school and simply cannot attend something in London on a 'school night' so I personally am not affected by this debacle. I just think though when the club specifically requested not to apply if you have already submitted regardless of how you get in for something like this with so few tickets available, you shouldn't be going for a third time, standing, seated, with a friend whatever, a third time in the SAME tiny venue when there are hundreds of fans who haven't had that chance even once, I make no apology for saying this, but it really is selfish, no matter how you dress it up. The club tried to make it fairer but it seems some took advantage of some slightly ambigious phrasing. Next time, if there is one, they should simply say - If you have seen Will at the 606 club before, please do not try again. It still won't deter some but it makes their intentions clear. Will must SURELY notice when the same people turn up time and time again, yes it's lovely to have such ardent fans, knowing they'll always be there but in some ways it must be disconcerting, and he must surely wonder how it happens particularly with something like this. The saddest thing is I don't think those concerned can even hold their hands up and admit they're selfish, but then we do live in a 'me, me me' society and even limited allocation is not enough to deter some, they will always find a way around it, maybe it is luck but man I'd love just a slither of this luck of 'only winning such and such' and ONLY winning this for the OS (and this through my local radio station and this through a friend blah blah) Such a bad atmosphere on devoted and it's been brewing for a long time and I think I'm just about done with it, it's long stopped being a pleasant experience. My love for Will hasn't changed but I may have to re assess being in a cyberfan community and back to just being a 'normal'. I spend my days with bickering teenagers the last thing I want to do is log onto playground arguements again when I get home! May I wish all you lovely ladies here, the very best of luck in making it fourth time lucky, if indeed there is one, You deserve it ;) :P

As far as I know it's not been released as a single, people are downloading the album track version because they chose that track (with Will Young) to promote the album on Jonathan Ross on Friday, obviously the performance has led to this surge in downloads.

The BRITS main job is not to reward the biggest selling acts, just what they feel are the best for each category hence inclusions for Mika, Friendly Fires, Animal Collective, Bat For Lashes, Daniel Merriweather etc, acts that have sold moderately. They judge on the quality and originality of each album, and since Susan Boyle album is mostly covers, rightly or wrongly they have decided not to include it. Beyonce I can only imagine was ineligible - To be nominated you had to release an original body of work in the time period specified. I Am Sasha Fierce was nominated for the 2009 BRITs. Yes most of her success and sales has come SINCE last February and she did re release, I did wonder if it might gain special dispensation like Green Day did that time with American Idiot nominated two ceremonies in a row but it wasn't to be. Anyone noticed the big glaring omission of Arctic Monkeys? I thought music industry types worshipped them?

I'm utterly obsessed with this, it's AMAZING, so when I heard it was going on hiatus, I was annoyed but it's expected, happens to all my fave US shows and part of a consequence of watching at US pace. Fine a month or two I could handle, but APRIL?! Jesus do Fox want this show to die? And not only that but change nights, and to Tuesday which maybe wouldn't be a complete disaster if it didn't go head to head with the small non hyped no interest FINAL EVER SEASON OF LOST! If Glee is back in April that would mean Lost would be about 8 - 10 episodes in, so ready to start I would imagine the crucial fine set of episodes just as Glee starts up again. As for Don't Stop Believin', does anyone know if UK Itunes will carry the songs from Glee each week like the US did, because if they did, I was just thinking that if e4 show the pilot mid december, and if they release DSB as an Itunes download, the timing would possibly mean it going against Joe's, sorry X Factor winner DSB. And we know people always buy the original in protest so I wonder if we could potentially have a Don't Stop Believin' Top 3
