The Voice
Ahh I'm so excited that it's looking like an almost certainty that Will is going to be a coach!! Right back from when I first saw the Voice in the US, I KNEW Will would be perfect, if they ever did a British version and now they are, thank god the BBC agree!! It really is such a great format, right from the start there will be no freakshows as only people who can atleast you know 'sing' are put through to face the coaches in the blind auditions  The blind auditions are what will make viewers be attracted to the show, because they are so entertaining, the coaches squabbling it out over the best acts, will be really interesting, if more than one coach turns around it comes down to the contestant to pick a coach, will just be rooting for the best ones to go to Will, like I was with Adam who after a slow start did end up with the very best and the eventual winner on his team. The only reservation I have about it is the panel, the main thing that made the US one such a hit was the chemistry between the coaches, Adam and Christina's flirty rivalry made great viewers and the 4 as a whole really made great TV as equals. With Jessie being named first and all these stories in the press, it almost seems like she sees herself as some kind of head coach. I quite like the panel as individuals as they are quite diverse, and can offer something different to the variety of contestants but as a unit I'm not sure. The banter between Christina, Blake, Cee Lo and Adam was great particularly as they were willing each other to press the button, I can't see Jessie, Will, Will.I.Am and Tom having that same kind of warm banter? I'm sure Will will get on great with all and you never know he and Will.I.Am may become bosom buddies  but it's essential that chemistry is established between the coaches from the off and if anything I can only see a pair up of Jessie and Will.I.Am and Tom and Will rather than all getting along, hope I'm wrong, it's a pretty essential component to it's success. Of course nothing has been confirmed in black and white yet but I'm sure it's only a matter of time now surely!

Sunday Chart Predictions
No Gotta Be You is the second single and it has left the Top 40. Up All Night the album is at #8, and the first single is still Top 40! Amazing sales for Rebecca! I like Martin thought it would get swallowed up in the Christmas rush but she's doing amazingly, aided by the stellar reviews no doubt, because the Amazon mp3 deal is for Amy so doing really well!

iTunes Chart November (III)
The whole situation with Matt is a bit bizarre, although it is listed as a single, there is (at the minute) no actual 'single mix' it's just the album version and and a couple of single remixes without the single! Not really sure what they're going for there.

Olly Murs - In Case You Didn't Know // 2nd Album
On my first play of this I was quite disapppointed as it didn't grab me at all like his debut but after playing it again and through headphones I love it, just listening to it on the train journey now, and its so generally happy and upbeat, have quite a few faves to sit alongside my already adored Heart Skips A Beat and Dance With Me Tonight, I love Oh My Goodness, In Case You Didn't Know, Anywhere Else and everything else is pretty good too although that "WOTEVA" on ' I'm OK" makes me cringe hard every time I play it. I know its been commented Dance With Me Tonight sounds a bit Christmassy but I DEFINITELY get that vibe from 'I Don't Love You Too' because of the bells and its definitely got a lot in common with Robbie's You Don't Know, sounds really Christmassy, I love it. I think there's only really on My Cloud that I'm not keen on, otherwise great album.

Sunday Chart Predictions
Got one, at £4 a little more expensive than I was hoping for given last year's top CD deals but still a good deal, just means I'll download the deluxe tracks separately, there's 3 isn't there?

Sunday Chart Predictions
Nah I did not despite being #1 on the waitlist and having a 'good chance' along with hundreds of others, also #1 on the waitlist  Basically the 'waitlist' is if people put something in their basket and then decide within the 15 minutes they actually don't want it, when they delete it, it goes to the waitlist. Which is fine in theory but with items like those above and the Rihanna CD I'd be amazed if ANYONE deleted those items so for desirable items it's essentially useless!

Sunday Chart Predictions
And the Now! 80 CD at 7.30pm too. Rihanna will probably be £1 like Take That/SuBo last year but can't see Now being as cheap as that! Either way both deals will sell out in the blink of an eye like the One Direction CD and also The Lion King DVD, clicked on both the split second they went live and got put straight on the waiting list!

Sunday Chart Predictions
The Take That Live DVD came out this week didn't it, but I thought the CD was next week? I only ask because it's already for sale in my HMV! Only saw it today so not sure if it's been there all week or it just came out today, would they carry across any sales to next week?

YOU HAVE TO SEE THIS IN MUSIC WEEK
Aww just from the first page, I felt a small ripple of pride wash over of me but then it continued. Amazing. Eee so proud I could burst :w00t:

Sunday Chart Predictions
Can't believe Rihanna might sneak in and steal the singles crown at the end of the week again! Looking well on course for the number one album unless One Direction fans suddenly rush out in their droves and catching up with Olly too, would be some heck of a double if she pulls it off. Number one single and album is special at any time but when it's been number 1 previously for so long it would be astonishing! SO pleased to see Will holding up well in the albums despite Come On's criminal underperformance. Platinum by the end of the year? I do hope so. Might be worth mentioning 'Up All Night' is set to be a Black Friday deal at some point this week on Amazon, probably the £1 CD like Progress and Susan Boyle was last year. Last year stock was limited to just a couple of hundred of each I think but either the deals aren't as popular as last time or they have more stock, which if the case might be a little booster to One Direction's album. If it's a £1 I might try get it myself :heehee:

iTunes Chart: November 2011 (II)
Just shows the popularity of Olly at the minute then getting to number 1 on itunes at all, when the others couldn't do it WITH an XF performance. Pity he doesn't have one actually. Surely on course for great album sales when you consider he had 100k+ last time and his profile is even bigger now.

Cher Lloyd - Sticks + Stones
The Sunday Mirror says her twitter is revealing tour dates tomorrow :D and also she is now managed by Craig Logan of Bros fame, (who is acually quite a big cheese now I think!)

Will on Children in need
The Will email I've just got is quite specific about 'setting your alarm for approximately 1.20am so I doubt it will be on any earlier to be honest unless this is a very very last minute change of plan.

Sunday Chart Predictions
I thought that, its strange both charts were so close, the Sun reporting on the JLS/ Snow Patrol album battle today says JLS were a few THOUSAND behind Snow Patrol so I reckon it might have been 4000 units behind One Direction for Rihanna and 2000 units behind SP For JLS.

Tour Talk
Oh definitely I'm massively grateful for the videos and reports so we can still share in the magic of it all somehow

Really gutted to be missing this tour, it looks amazing and Will sounds phenomenal. Love the videos, thank you so much, means I don't completely miss out but bittersweet too because I can see how fab it is :( Just annoying because this is my favourite Will album by far and would have loved to have seen it live

Sunday Chart Predictions
I can't help but notice that the first Westlife single looking likely to not to break the top 10 is also Barlow penned B-) http://www.heart.co.uk/showbiz/artists/tak...y-barlow-track/ Does that sound familiar? Just like Matt Cardle, Westlife couldn't wait to ditch one of their own songs at the very last minute for a track penned by Lord Barlow. Am I missing something here? Obviously he's penned some stonking songs for Take That but has he been credited as writing something for someone else that's a genuine hit? I've always heard he 'writes for other people' but which tracks for artists has he actually been credited for? With The Collective, although not written by him but certainly associated with him, struggling this week, the disaster that was for Run For Your Life and now Lifehouse possibly breaking Westlife's streak, is there a curse of Gary Barlow? Saying that though an original XF winner's single has got to be a good thing, That's My Goal sold really well, it's about time they had something original again, just got to hope there isn't a Gary curse :P

Album battle - Rihanna v One Direction
Hmm I keep changing my mind, Rihanna on X Factor Sunday night is a massive advantage but then I see that Amazon have chosen One Direction as the cheap mp3 deal next week and not Rihanna and that may be a reasonably big factor in a tight battle. Plus I just read this: "Pre orders for One Direction's Up All Night rose 200 per cent on Amazon after their performance of Gotta Be You. " It's also ahead on pre orders/best sellers on most charts but then Rihanna hasn't been available as long has it? It's going to be as tight as JLS/Robbie I reckon, but can see SYCO pulling out all the stops with signings/promo and then there's the gimmicky slip cases thing that worked so well for JLS first time around vs Rihanna being the biggest she's ever been. Hmm too close to call! Sales for both will prob reach about 150k as a result of the 'battle' I think, regardless who gets the number 1 that week, Rihanna will easily get the biggest overall sales I'd have thought.

Sunday Chart Predictions
No wkd, it's just straight forward Maths. We're not supposed to explicitly write the exact chart positions of everything in the top 40 so here new entries have their numbers stated and then all other updates are written as a simple sum so we know what the position is without explicitly stating it's number so and so. So in Matt's case the sum could be 28+4 or 30 +2 or 26+6 etc but they would all lead to his chart position today which unfortunately is quite a tumble!

Sunday Chart Predictions
Woohoo!! :yahoo: Amazon chose Snow Patrol as the 3.99 mp3 which may have given the album a significant boost, plus its a quality album

Ah thought that must be the case, seems to have come from nowhere didn't know he had one out and certainly not heard it!

Sunday Chart Predictions
Was Flo Rida's itunes climb only very recent? Weird he is now 2 on itunes but only 10 in the first update, also the Sats in the top 10 ABOVE Flo? It's all a bit strange though I guess physical CDs for the Sats n 1D are having a big say

Talk That Talk Opening Sales?
Oh I didn't realise that, in that case I definitely think she will beat One Direction, they'll pull out all the stops though through signings and stuff I'd imagine, plus they have Children In Need so imagine it will be neck and neck all week, but I reckon Rihanna really is just too strong now, I think she can keep them off the top of the singles chart too this week.

Talk That Talk Opening Sales?
I thought that JLS beat Robbie? By a close margin? JLS and Robbie both had sales over 200K as a result of the 'battle' so could see that happening again with Rihanna and One Direction. I've got a sneaking suspicion that Rihanna might beat them actually. I wonder what the odds are on none of last year's X Factor lot achieving a number 1 album? Edit: It was Take That that beat JLS's second album in 2010 JLS debut album beat Robbie Williams's in 2009.
