In 2019, "Shallow" by Lady GaGa and Bradley Cooper returned to the top either 17 WEEKS (if we only count "normal" editions of the chart) or 18 WEEKS (if we also count the special edition of the chart for the whole year 2018) after it was there last.

"Just Keep Watching" is Tate McRae's first number 1 since... probably "Sports Car". I missed the chart of February 8, 2025 but "Sports Car" was at the top of the corresponding edition of the chart broadcast on MTV Hits.
  9. Euro Top Chart - (as broadcast on MTV Europe) Here is the chart of July 19, 2025: 20 Ed Sheeran - Azizam 6 Down 19 Irene & Seulgi - Tilt 11 Down 18 Will Smith - Pretty Girls 1 Up 17 Addison Rae - Fame Is A Gun 1 Up 16 Sombr - Undressed 14 Down 15 PinkPantheress - Illegal NEW 14 Twenty One Pilots - The Contract 1 Down 13 Calvin Harris - Blessings 4 Down 12 Lorde - What Was That 3 Up 11 Black Eyed Peas - Rock That Body 9 Up 10 Mariah Carey - Type Dangerous 1 Up 9 WizTheMc - Show Me Love 1 Up 8 Benson Boone - Mystical Magical 1 Down 7 Moliy - Shake It To The Max 1 Down 6 Ed Sheeran - Sapphire 1 Down 5 Alex Warren - Ordinary 1 Down 4 Ravyn Lenae - Love Me Not 1 Down 3 Sombr - Back To Friends 9 Up 2 Katseye - Gabriela 1 Down 1 Lewis Capaldi - Survive NEW "Survive" becomes Lewis Capaldi's fourth chart-topper after "Someone You Loved", "Forget Me" and "Pointless".
  10. Euro Top Chart - (as broadcast on MTV Europe) Here is the chart of July 12, 2025: 20 Black Eyed Peas - Rock That Body RE-ENTRY 19 Will Smith - Pretty Girls NEW 18 Addison Rae - Fame Is A Gun NEW 17 Mark Ronson & Raye - Suzanne Stay => 16 Bad Bunny - Baile Inolvidable 7 Down 15 Lorde - What Was That NEW 14 Ed Sheeran - Azizam 9 Down 13 Twenty One Pilots - The Contract 5 Up 12 Sombr - Back To Friends 2 Down 11 Mariah Carey - Type Dangerous 9 Up 10 WizTheMc - Show Me Love 4 Down 9 Calvin Harris - Blessings 7 Up 8 Irene & Seulgi - Tilt 7 Up 7 Benson Boone - Mystical Magical RE-ENTRY 6 Moliy - Shake It To The Max 2 Up 5 Ed Sheeran - Sapphire 9 Up 4 Alex Warren - Ordinary Stay => 3 Ravyn Lenae - Love Me Not Stay => 2 Sombr - Undressed Stay => 1 Katseye - Gabriela Stay => Something extremely remarkable happens this week. Last year only one song spent 2 (nonconsecutive) weeks at number 1 - "Espresso" by Sabrina Carpenter. EVERY SINGLE other chart-topper in 2024 enjoyed merely one week at number 1. What about this year? Until this week, just ONE song managed to spend 2 (consecutive) weeks at the top - "The Giver" by Chappell Roan. Now "Gabriela" by Katseye does the same as it stays at number 1. Whether this accomplishment is deserved is completely another story... Like in the previous edition of the chart, there are two interesting re-entries this week. "Momma Song" by Benson Boone was at number 7 last week but it's gone out. However, it's replaced at the same position by a re-entry - his previous single "Mystical Magical". It even achieves a new peak position as it reached number 8 during its previous chart run. Even more notable is the other re-entry, at number 20. "Rock That Body" by Black Eyed Peas previously peaked at number 6... back in 2010. It re-enters FIFTEEN YEARS LATER! ...And Will Smith is in the chart again! "Pretty Girls" debuts at number 19. This is Will's first appearance since 2002, when "Black Suits Comin'" peaked at number 3.
  11. Euro Top Chart - (as broadcast on MTV Europe) Here is the chart of July 5, 2025: 20 Mariah Carey - Type Dangerous NEW 19 Olamide & Wizkid - Kai! Stay => 18 Twenty One Pilots - The Contract NEW 17 Mark Ronson & Raye - Suzanne NEW 16 Calvin Harris - Blessings NEW 15 Irene & Seulgi - Tilt NEW 14 Ed Sheeran - Sapphire 6 Down 13 Miley Cyrus - Easy Lover 11 Down 12 Jin - Don't Say You Love Me 3 Up 11 Tyla - Bliss 7 Down 10 Sombr - Back To Friends 5 Down 9 Bad Bunny - Baile Inolvidable 3 Up 8 Moliy - Shake It To The Max 1 Up 7 Benson Boone - Momma Song 6 Down 6 WizTheMc - Show Me Love 1 Up 5 Ed Sheeran - Azizam RE-ENTRY 4 Alex Warren - Ordinary 1 Down 3 Ravyn Lenae - Love Me Not 3 Up 2 Sombr - Undressed RE-ENTRY 1 Katseye - Gabriela NEW There are two interesting re-entries this week. Several weeks ago Ed Sheeran's "Azizam" left the chart and at the same time "Old Phone" debuted. Then a few weeks ago "Old Phone" went out and similtuaneously "Sapphire" entered the chart. Now as "Sapphire" falls 8-14, "Azizam" re-enters at number 5. Even more impressive is the other re-entry. 2 weeks ago "Undressed" by Sombr debuted at number 20 but it left the chart immediately. However, I was sure that it would re-enter the chart at a high position - which it does now as it's a re-entry straight at number 2. Will it climb to the very top and thus repeat the achievement of "Back To Friends"?
  12. Euro Top Chart - (as broadcast on MTV Europe) Here is the chart of June 28, 2025: 20 Lisa & Tyla - When I'm With You 7 Down 19 Olamide & Wizkid - Kai! NEW 18 Abor & Tynna - Baller 2 Down 17 Myles Smith - Gold NEW 16 Lady GaGa & Bruno Mars - Die With A Smile 11 Down 15 Jin - Don't Say You Love Me 2 Up 14 The Weeknd - Hurry Up Tomorrow 5 Up 13 Charli XCX - Party 4 U 1 Down 12 Bad Bunny - Baile Inolvidable 3 Down 11 Don Toliver & Doja Cat - Lose My Mind 4 Up 10 Rosé & Bruno Mars - APT. 3 Down 9 Moliy - Shake It To The Max 3 Down 8 Ed Sheeran - Sapphire 6 Up 7 WizTheMc - Show Me Love 4 Up 6 Ravyn Lenae - Love Me Not 2 Up 5 Sombr - Back To Friends 1 Down 4 Tyla - Bliss 3 Down 3 Alex Warren - Ordinary 1 Down 2 Miley Cyrus - Easy Lover 1 Up 1 Benson Boone - Momma Song 17 Up Although "Die With A Smile" by Lady GaGa and Bruno Mars falls 11 places to number 16, its performance so far is impressive. The song debuted at the end of August 2024 so it has spent TEN MONTHS in the chart! Still, this is not a record - "Blinding Lights" by The Weeknd spent MORE THAN A YEAR in the chart! "Beautiful Things" by Benson Boone was at number 2 for a total of 4 weeks last year but never managed to reach the top. However, now another song of his - "Momma Song" - does just that as it climbs 18-1.
  13. Euro Top Chart - (as broadcast on MTV Europe) Here is the chart of June 21, 2025: 20 Sombr - Undressed NEW 19 The Weeknd - Hurry Up Tomorrow 1 Up 18 Benson Boone - Momma Song NEW 17 Jin - Don't Say You Love Me NEW 16 Abor & Tynna - Baller NEW 15 Don Toliver & Doja Cat - Lose My Mind NEW 14 Ed Sheeran - Sapphire NEW 13 Lisa & Tyla - When I'm With You 4 Up 12 Charli XCX - Party 4 U 2 Up 11 WizTheMc - Show Me Love 3 Down 10 Jennie - Like Jennie 3 Up 9 Bad Bunny - Baile Inolvidable 2 Up 8 Ravyn Lenae - Love Me Not 2 Down 7 Rosé & Bruno Mars - APT. 3 Up 6 Moliy - Shake It To The Max 2 Down 5 Lady GaGa & Bruno Mars - Die With A Smile Stay => 4 Sombr - Back To Friends 1 Down 3 Miley Cyrus - Easy Lover 2 Down 2 Alex Warren - Ordinary Stay => 1 Tyla - Bliss NEW It's not surprising that Tyla is at number 1 again - it seems like it's almost guaranteed that each new song of hers will reach the top... "Bliss" becomes her FOURTH number 1 after "Water", "Breathe Me" and "Push 2 Start". The much bigger news for me is that a song from this year's Eurovision Song Contest enters the chart! "Baller" by Abor and Tynna, the German representative, debuts at number 16. The song achieved number 15 at the contest and after that had success in various European countries' singles charts.
