As for Little Mix, this is their third number 1 after "Black Magic" and "Sweet Melody". "Don't Go Yet" by Camila Cabello, which was at the top last week, has fallen 19 places to number 20... However, this is not a record! Another song I already mentioned also went 1-20 earlier this year - "Sweet Melody" by Little Mix. And at the very end of 2020 "Jerusalema" by Master KG and Nomcebo fell from number 1 to number 22!
  3. 4. Euro Top Chart - (as broadcast on MTV Europe) Here is the chart of July 31, 2021: 20 Twenty One Pilots - Saturday 19 Calvin Harris & Tom Grennan - By Your Side 11 Down 18 Olivia Rodrigo - Deja Vu 17 Imagine Dragons - Wrecked 16 J Balvin & Skrillex - In Da Getto 15 David Guetta & John Newman - If You Really Love Me 14 Doja Cat & The Weeknd - You Right 8 Down 13 Trinidad Cardona - Dinero 3 Down 12 Marshmello & Jonas Brothers - Leave Before You Love Me 6 Up 11 Justin Bieber, Daniel Caesar & Giveon - Peaches 10 Dua Lipa - Love Again 1 Down 9 Post Malone - Motley Crew 8 Doja Cat & SZA - Kiss Me More 5 Up 7 BTS - Permission To Dance 4 Down 6 Lil' Nas X - Montero 5 Billie Eilish - NDA 4 Down 4 Ed Sheeran - Bad Habits 2 Down 3 The Kid Laroi & Justin Bieber - Stay 2 Up 2 Olivia Rodrigo - Good 4 U 2 Up 1 Måneskin - I Wanna Be Your Slave I have already mentioned that "Satellite" by Lena became number 1 in MTV Europe's European chart in 2010 - the only song that participated in Eurovision to have achieved this. By topping the chart with "I Wanna Be Your Slave" now, Måneskin have achieved something else. I think this is only the second time when an artist has participated in Eurovision with a song and AFTER THAT reached number 1 in MTV Europe's European chart with ANOTHER song. The first one who did this was, of course, Celine Dion, who represented Switzerland at Eurovision in 1988 and then reached the top in 1998 with "My Heart Will Go On". The opposite has also happened - there have been artists who reach number 1 in this chart and later participate in Eurovision. For example - Las Ketchup topped the chart in 2002 with "Asereje" and then represented Spain at Eurovision in 2006. In fact, this has also occurred in 2021! Flo Rida has scored 3 chart-toppers in this chart - "Good Feeling", "Whistle" and "I Don't Like It, I Love It" (with Robin Thicke). In case you missed it - this year he also represented San Marino at Eurovision with "Adrenalina" (a collaboration with Senhit).
  5. Euro Top Chart - (as broadcast on MTV Europe) Here is the chart of July 24, 2021: 20 Lorde - Solar Power 5 Down 19 Alessia Cara - Sweet Dream 18 Marshmello & Jonas Brothers - Leave Before You Love Me 4 Down 17 Sigala & Rita Ora - You For Me 16 Majestic & Boney M. - Rasputin 3 Down 15 BTS - Butter 10 Down 14 OneRepublic - Run 13 Doja Cat & SZA - Kiss Me More 3 Down 12 Måneskin - Zitti E Buoni 6 Down 11 The Weeknd - Save Your Tears 7 Down 10 Trinidad Cardona - Dinero 1 Down 9 Dua Lipa - Love Again 8 Calvin Harris & Tom Grennan - By Your Side 1 Down 7 Justin Wellington - Iko Iko 6 Doja Cat & The Weeknd - You Right 5 Down 5 The Kid Laroi & Justin Bieber - Stay 4 Olivia Rodrigo - Good 4 U 1 Down 3 BTS - Permission To Dance 2 Ed Sheeran - Bad Habits Stay => 1 Billie Eilish - NDA It seems like MTV Europe has changed its schedule. Now the "Euro Top Chart" is broadcast from 9:45 to 11:15 CET on Saturday and from 6:00 to 7:30 CET on Sunday. "NDA" becomes the fourth number 1 of Billie Eilish in the chart after "Bad Guy", "Therefore I Am" and "Your Power". And it's nice to see "Iko Iko" by Justin Wellington finally appear (at number 7)!
  6. Euro Top Chart - (as broadcast on MTV Europe) Here is the chart of July 17, 2021: 20 Roddy Ricch - Late At Night 19 Lil' Nas X - Montero 4 Down 18 Mabel - Let Them Know 17 Justin Bieber, Daniel Caesar & Giveon - Peaches 4 Down 16 Martin Garrix, Bono & The Edge - We Are The People 4 Up 15 Lorde - Solar Power 6 Down 14 Marshmello & Jonas Brothers - Leave Before You Love Me 13 Majestic & Boney M. - Rasputin 5 Down 12 Bella Poarch - Build A Babe Stay => 11 Olivia Rodrigo - Deja Vu 4 Down 10 Doja Cat & SZA - Kiss Me More 7 Down 9 Trinidad Cardona - Dinero 8 Riton & Nightcrawlers - Friday 3 Up 7 Calvin Harris & Tom Grennan - By Your Side 3 Up 6 Måneskin - Zitti E Buoni Stay => 5 BTS - Butter 1 Down 4 The Weeknd - Save Your Tears 1 Up 3 Olivia Rodrigo - Good 4 U 1 Down 2 Ed Sheeran - Bad Habits 1 Down 1 Doja Cat & The Weeknd - You Right 2021 seems to be Doja Cat's year - "You Right" is her third chart-topper after "Kiss Me More" and "Need To Know". Regarding The Weeknd - "You Right" is his second number 1 this year after "Save Your Tears". david0306, to me it doesn't really matter whether there is an identical chart being broadcast currently on MTV Hits. The European chart broadcast on MTV EUROPE has a long history - we have archives since 1989. I have posted the European chart broadcast on MTV EUROPE for many years and I'll continue to do it - no matter what charts are being broadcast on MTV Hits, the history of THIS chart must be kept!
  7. Euro Top Chart - (as broadcast on MTV Europe) Here is the chart of July 10, 2021: 20 Martin Garrix, Bono & The Edge - We Are The People 2 Down 19 OneRepublic - Run 6 Down 18 Dua Lipa - Love Again 2 Down 17 Coldplay - Higher Power 2 Down 16 Fousheé - My Slime 15 Lil' Nas X - Montero 4 Up 14 Doja Cat - Need To Know Stay => 13 Justin Bieber, Daniel Caesar & Giveon - Peaches 4 Up 12 Bella Poarch - Build A Babe 1 Down 11 Riton & Nightcrawlers - Friday 1 Up 10 Calvin Harris & Tom Grennan - By Your Side 1 Down 9 Lorde - Solar Power 8 Down 8 Majestic & Boney M. - Rasputin Stay => 7 Olivia Rodrigo - Deja Vu 3 Up 6 Måneskin - Zitti E Buoni 1 Up 5 The Weeknd - Save Your Tears 1 Up 4 BTS - Butter 1 Up 3 Doja Cat & SZA - Kiss Me More 1 Up 2 Olivia Rodrigo - Good 4 U 1 Up 1 Ed Sheeran - Bad Habits 1 Up "Bad Habits" becomes Ed Sheeran's second chart-topper in 2021 after "Afterglow".
  8. Once again we have a new number 1 - "Solar Power". The question is: is this Lorde's first chart-topper? The situation is complicated because of "Royals". There was no European chart broadcast on MTV Europe in 2013. However, "Royals" did reach number 1 in MTV Italy's European chart at the end of 2013.
  9. "Need To Know" is Doja Cat's second number 1 after "Kiss Me More". "Love Again" by Dua Lipa, which appears at number 9, samples "My Woman" by Al Bowlly. Another song which samples "My Woman" - "Your Woman" by White Town - peaked at number 5 in 1997.
  10. "Higher Power" becomes Coldplay's fifth number 1 in MTV Europe's European chart after "Speed Of Sound", "Violet Hill", "Viva La Vida" and "Adventure Of A Lifetime". U2 last appeared in the chart in 2017 with "You're The Best Thing About Me". Now "We Are The People" (with Martin Garrix) marks the first time when this half of U2 - Bono and The Edge - appear in the chart without the other half. On the other hand, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen already scored a number 2 in 1996 with "Theme From Mission: Impossible".
  11. "Sun Goes Down" becomes Lil' Nas X's third chart-topper after "Old Town Road" and "Montero". And the song that won Eurovision - "Zitti E Buoni" by Måneskin - appears at number 7! This is not the first Italian representative at Eurovision to reach MTV Europe's European chart. In 2017 Francesco Gabbani appeared with "Occidentali's Karma" and before that - Toto Cutugno with "Insieme: 1992" in 1990. "Zitti E Buoni" reaches the highest peak position for a Eurovision song since "Euphoria" by Loreen peaked at number 4 in 2012. And 2 years earlier, in 2010, Lena actually became number 1 with "Satellite"!
  12. "Butter" becomes the second number 1 of BTS in the chart after "Dynamite".
  13. "Good 4 U" becomes Olivia Rodrigo's second chart-topper after "Deja Vu"... while "Drivers License" absurdly only reached number 2... "All I Know So Far" by Pink manages to appear in the chart - something which "Cover Me In Sunshine" never did.
  14. "Your Power" becomes the third number 1 of Billie Eilish in the chart after "Bad Guy" and "Therefore I Am".
  15. Well, this was bound to happen sooner or later! After there being a new number 1 every week for TWELVE consecutive weeks, now a song finally remains at the top - "Kiss Me More" by Doja Cat and SZA! It's also notable that "Heartbreak Anniversary" by Giveon spends a fifth consecutive week at number 12.
  16. So now there is yet another European chart? This is the twelfth week in a row with a new number 1. "Kiss Me More" is the first chart-topper for both Doja Cat and SZA, although Doja Cat came close with "Say So", which peaked at number 2.
  17. Yes, some weeks can make one feel sad and desperate... But there are also promising editions of the chart! And I have definitely seen worse times when it comes to the old MTV European Top 20 chart, which ended in 2012... This is the eleventh week in a row with a new number 1. "Sabotage" by Bebe Rexha is yet another completely not deserving chart-topper as the song is nowhere to be found in any European country's singles chart... Still, this is the first time Bebe Rexha reaches number 1 - and, if I'm not missing anyone, she becomes the fifth ethnic Albanian to achieve this after Rita Ora, Dua Lipa, Ava Max and DJ Regard. Among them, Bebe Rexha is the first one whose country of ancestry is (North) Macedonia.
  18. This is the tenth week in a row with a new number 1! "Deja Vu" by Olivia Rodrigo fell 3-13 last week but now jumps 12 places to the top. What's sad is that MTV Europe never played "Drivers License" at number 1. The chart of February 13, 2021 was the last edition which was identical to MTV Italy's "Euro Top 20". In the corresponding edition of the latter for that week, "Driver's License" was at the top. However, MTV Europe didn't play it and pretended that it doesn't exist... The following week "Driver's License" was still at the top in MTV Italy's "Euro Top 20"... and MTV Europe played it for the first time - but now the chart was different from MTV Italy's "Euro Top 20" and the song was only at number 2...
  19. MTV Europe has changed its schedule. Now the "Euro Top Chart" is broadcast not only from 9:30 to 11:00 CET on Saturday but also from 6:00 to 7:30 CET on Sunday. Strange things are happening with Olivia Rodrigo's songs. Last week "Drivers License" fell from number 3 to number 13 while "Deja Vu" appeared at number 3... This week "Deja Vu" also goes 3-13 while "Drivers License" climbs 8 places to number 5! "Telepatia" by Kali Uchis is yet another baffling number 1. It's also the first chart-topper (at least partially) in Spanish since "Despacito" by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee in 2017.
  20. Since this chart became different from MTV Italy's "Euro Top 20" in February, there has been a new number 1 every week! "Montero" becomes Lil' Nas X's second chart-topper after "Old Town Road" (with Billy Ray Cyrus), which spent a total of 4 weeks at number 1 in 2019.
  21. When MTV Europe broadcast this edition of the chart, there were differences in the positions between number 15 and number 13: 15 Ava Max - My Head & My Heart 14 Justin Bieber - Hold On 13 SZA - Good Days The appearance of "This Is Heaven" by Nick Jonas at number 2 is completely incomprehensible - the song can't be found in the singles chart of any European country... "Peaches" becomes number 1 just 2 weeks after "Hold On" reached the top (for a single week). While this is an impressive achievement by Justin Bieber, the most remarkable such achievement happened in 2017, when Ed Sheeran reached number 1 with a song ("Castle On The Hill") one week and reached number 1 with ANOTHER song ("Shape Of You") the FOLLOWING week!
  22. "Leave The Door Open" becomes the third number 1 of Bruno Mars in MTV Europe's European chart after "Grenade" and "Uptown Funk!" (with Mark Ronson). As for Anderson .Paak - this is his second appearance in the chart. "Lockdown" spent a couple of weeks below the Top 40 but inside the Top 50 last year (during those editions MTV Europe showed positions between number 50 and number 41).
  23. "Hold On" is yet another puzzling number 1. Justin Bieber was last at the top with "Yummy" a little over a year ago.
  24. "My Head & My Heart" becomes the second number 1 of Ava Max in this chart after "Sweet But Psycho", which spent a total of 8 weeks at the top. Interestingly, last year a similarly titled song also reached number 1 - "Head & Heart" by Joel Corry and MNEK. Probably the funniest example happened at the end of 1990 when "I'm Your Baby Tonight" by Whitney Houston was replaced at the top by... "I'll Be Your Baby Tonight" by Robert Palmer and UB 40!!
  25. Euro Top Chart - (as broadcast on MTV Europe) Here is the chart of March 6, 2021: 40 39 38 37 36 35 34 33 32 31 30 29 28 27 26 25 Rita Ora, Imanbek & David Guetta - Big 2 Up 24 Taylor Swift - Willow Stay => 23 Jason Derulo & Adam Levine - Lifestyle 2 Up 22 Ariana Grande - 34+35 6 Down 21 Madison Beer - Selfish 20 Saweetie & Doja Cat - Best Friend Stay => 19 Riton & Nightcrawlers - Friday 18 Miley Cyrus & Dua Lipa - Prisoner 5 Down 17 Ed Sheeran - Afterglow 3 Down 16 ATB & Topic - Your Love 1 Down 15 Cardi B - Up 4 Down 14 Justin Bieber - Anyone 2 Down 13 Masked Wolf - Astronaut In The Ocean 4 Up 12 Meduza & Dermot Kennedy - Paradise 2 Down 11 Doja Cat - Streets 5 Down 10 The Kid Laroi - Without You 1 Down 9 Selena Gomez & Rauw Alejandro - Baila Conmigo 1 Down 8 24kGoldn & Iann Dior - Mood 1 Down 7 Ava Max - My Head & My Heart 12 Up 6 DJ Tiesto - The Business 1 Down 5 Lil' Tjay & 6LACK - Calling My Phone 1 Down 4 Olivia Rodrigo - Drivers License 1 Down 3 Dua Lipa - We're Good 2 Down 2 The Weeknd - Save Your Tears Stay => 1 Sam Fischer & Demi Lovato - What Other People Say "Selfish" by Madison Beer appeared in a few European countries' charts a year ago. For some reason it's at number 21 in this chart NOW?! "Friday" by Riton and Nightcrawlers (currently at number 19) samples the latter's "Push The Feeling On", which peaked at number 4 in the chart in 1995. ...And "What Other People Say" by Sam Fischer and Demi Lovato might possibly be the most flabbergasting number 1 of all time in MTV Europe's European chart! At the moment, it can be found in 2 charts - the UK chart, with a peak position of number 83 (last week - number 95); and the Irish chart, with a peak position of number 69 (last week - number 76)... This is Sam Fischer's second hit in this chart after "This City", which peaked at number 14 last year. As for Demi Lovato - this is their second chart-topper after "Solo" (which wasn't solo but a collaboration with Clean Bandit).
