  1. Euro Top 40 - (as broadcast on MTV Europe) Here is the chart of February 6, 2016: 40 39 38 37 36 35 34 33 32 31 30 29 28 27 26 25 24 Jess Glynne - Take Me Home 11 Down 23 Sigma & Rita Ora - Coming Home 17 Down 22 The Weeknd - The Hills 11 Down 21 Naughty Boy & Beyoncé Knowles - Runnin' 14 Down 20 Charlie Puth - One Call Away 19 MNEK & Zara Larsson - Never Forget You 7 Down 18 Fleur East - Sax 14 Down 17 Alessia Cara - Here 16 David Guetta, Sia & Fetty Wap - Bang My Head Stay => 15 Years And Years - Eyes Shut 2 Up 14 Drake - Hotline Bling 6 Down 13 David Bowie - Lazarus 12 Craig David & Big Narstie - When The Bassline Drops 11 Sigala - Sweet Lovin' 1 Down 10 Jason Derulo - Get Ugly 9 X Ambassadors - Renegades 8 One Direction - History 7 Grace - You Don't Own Me 6 Elle King - Ex's & Oh's 5 Coldplay - Adventure Of A Lifetime 3 Down 4 Adele - Hello 3 Down 3 Snakehips & Tinashe - All My Friends 2 Shawn Mendes - Stitches 1 Justin Bieber - Love Yourself 2 Up There is a lot of movement in the chart... which is quite logical, since it's essentially a continuation of the chart two editions ago... Justin Bieber scores his third consecutive number 1 with "Love Yourself" - the previous 2 chart-toppers came from the same album ("What Do You Mean?" and "Sorry"). "When The Bassline Drops" is the first song by Craig David to appear in the chart since "Hot Stuff" at the end of 2007... And what a striking coincidence!... "Hot Stuff" sampled "Let's Dance" by... David Bowie. David Bowie, who last appeared in MTV Europe's European chart in 1993 with "Jump They Say"... I think it's great that "Lazarus" is in this chart now!...
  2. Euro Top 40 - (as broadcast on MTV Europe) Here is the chart of January 30, 2016: 40 39 38 37 36 35 34 33 32 31 30 29 28 27 26 25 24 23 Rudimental & Ed Sheeran - Lay It All On Me 1 Up 22 Missy Elliott & Pharrell Williams - Where They From 1 Up 21 One Direction - Perfect 1 Up 20 Silentó - Watch Me 1 Up 19 WSTRN - In2 1 Up 18 Sam Smith - Writing's On The Wall 1 Up 17 Years And Years - Eyes Shut 1 Up 16 David Guetta, Sia & Fetty Wap - Bang My Head 1 Up 15 Olly Murs - Kiss Me 1 Up 14 Robin Schulz - Sugar 1 Up 13 Jess Glynne - Take Me Home 1 Up 12 MNEK & Zara Larsson - Never Forget You 1 Up 11 The Weeknd - The Hills 1 Up 10 Sigala - Sweet Lovin' 1 Up 9 99 Souls, Destiny's Child & Brandy - The Girl Is Mine 1 Up 8 Drake - Hotline Bling 1 Up 7 Naughty Boy & Beyoncé Knowles - Runnin' 1 Up 6 Sigma & Rita Ora - Coming Home 1 Up 5 Walk The Moon - Shut Up And Dance 1 Up 4 Fleur East - Sax 1 Up 3 Justin Bieber - Love Yourself 1 Up 2 Coldplay - Adventure Of A Lifetime 1 Up 1 Adele - Hello 1 Up Could this be the most absurd edition of the "Euro Top Chart"?!... It's exactly the same as the previous one... except this time MTV Europe didn't play the (supposed) number 1 - "Stitches" by Shawn Mendes - and pretended that it doesn't exist... So each other song climbs one place!
  3. Euro Top 40 - (as broadcast on MTV Europe) Here is the chart of January 23, 2016: 40 39 38 37 36 35 34 33 32 31 30 29 28 27 26 25 24 Rudimental & Ed Sheeran - Lay It All On Me 5 Down 23 Missy Elliott & Pharrell Williams - Where They From 6 Down 22 One Direction - Perfect 1 Down 21 Silentó - Watch Me 20 WSTRN - In2 5 Down 19 Sam Smith - Writing's On The Wall 1 Down 18 Years And Years - Eyes Shut 2 Up 17 David Guetta, Sia & Fetty Wap - Bang My Head 6 Up 16 Olly Murs - Kiss Me Stay => 15 Robin Schulz - Sugar 4 Down 14 Jess Glynne - Take Me Home 8 Down 13 MNEK & Zara Larsson - Never Forget You 1 Down 12 The Weeknd - The Hills 2 Down 11 Sigala - Sweet Lovin' 2 Down 10 99 Souls, Destiny's Child & Brandy - The Girl Is Mine 2 Down 9 Drake - Hotline Bling 4 Down 8 Naughty Boy & Beyoncé Knowles - Runnin' 1 Down 7 Sigma & Rita Ora - Coming Home 7 Up 6 Walk The Moon - Shut Up And Dance 7 Up 5 Fleur East - Sax 1 Down 4 Justin Bieber - Love Yourself 1 Down 3 Coldplay - Adventure Of A Lifetime 2 Down 2 Adele - Hello 1 Shawn Mendes - Stitches It looks like MTV Europe don't want to play "Hello" by Adele when it's at number 1 but they have no problems with playing it when it's at number 2! So who's the new chart-topper? Well, when "Oh Cecilia" by The Vamps appeared at number 14 in the chart in November 2014, I would never have guessed that the person who participated in the song - Shawn Mendes - would score a solo number 1 in this "Euro Top Chart" just over a year later... Yet "Stitches" has done it! For the second week in a row there is a surprising reappearance in the chart. In the previous edition it was "Shut Up And Dance" by Walk The Moon (which even climbs to number 6 now!?)... while in this edition "Watch Me" by Silentó is back for the first time since early October 2015... Could the only reason for this be the fact that it re-entered the Top 50 of the UK singles chart not long ago?...
  4. Euro Top 40 - (as broadcast on MTV Europe) Here is the chart of January 16, 2016: 40 39 38 37 36 35 34 33 32 31 30 29 28 27 26 25 24 23 David Guetta, Sia & Fetty Wap - Bang My Head 6 Down 22 Ariana Grande - Focus 21 One Direction - Perfect 2 Up 20 Years And Years - Eyes Shut 2 Down 19 Rudimental & Ed Sheeran - Lay It All On Me 6 Down 18 Sam Smith - Writing's On The Wall 1 Up 17 Missy Elliott & Pharrell Williams - Where They From 1 Down 16 Olly Murs - Kiss Me 1 Down 15 WSTRN - In2 14 Sigma & Rita Ora - Coming Home 13 Walk The Moon - Shut Up And Dance 12 MNEK & Zara Larsson - Never Forget You 2 Up 11 Robin Schulz - Sugar 6 Down 10 The Weeknd - The Hills 1 Up 9 Sigala - Sweet Lovin' Stay => 8 99 Souls, Destiny's Child & Brandy - The Girl Is Mine Stay => 7 Naughty Boy & Beyoncé Knowles - Runnin' 5 Up 6 Jess Glynne - Take Me Home 3 Down 5 Drake - Hotline Bling 5 Up 4 Fleur East - Sax 2 Down 3 Justin Bieber - Love Yourself 3 Up 2 Grace - You Don't Own Me 1 Down 1 Coldplay - Adventure Of A Lifetime 3 Up Just like in the last edition of the chart, MTV Europe didn't play the (certainly) actual number 1 - "Hello" by Adele - and pretended that it doesn't exist. The supposedly actual number 2 - "Adventure Of A Lifetime" by Coldplay - was presented as the new chart-topper. This is in fact its second (nonconsecutive) week at the top - the first was 4 weeks ago (and it was really the number 1 then!). What might be stranger is the sudden reappearance in the chart of "Shut Up And Dance" by Walk The Moon, which was last seen in this "Euro Top Chart" 2 months ago. Could the only reason for this be that it climbed back to the Top 30 of the UK singles chart?...
  5. Euro Top 40 - (as broadcast on MTV Europe) Here is the chart of January 9, 2016: 40 39 38 37 36 35 34 33 32 31 30 29 28 27 26 25 24 23 One Direction - Perfect 2 Down 22 R. City & Adam Levine - Locked Away 2 Down 21 Pia Mia - Touch 20 Calvin Harris - How Deep Is Your Love 2 Up 19 Sam Smith - Writing's On The Wall 2 Down 18 Years And Years - Eyes Shut 1 Up 17 David Guetta, Sia & Fetty Wap - Bang My Head 16 Missy Elliott & Pharrell Williams - Where They From 2 Up 15 Olly Murs - Kiss Me 1 Up 14 MNEK & Zara Larsson - Never Forget You Stay => 13 Rudimental & Ed Sheeran - Lay It All On Me 2 Up 12 Naughty Boy & Beyoncé Knowles - Runnin' 1 Down 11 The Weeknd - The Hills 3 Down 10 Drake - Hotline Bling Stay => 9 Sigala - Sweet Lovin' 3 Down 8 99 Souls, Destiny's Child & Brandy - The Girl Is Mine 4 Up 7 Shawn Mendes - Stitches 6 Up 6 Justin Bieber - Love Yourself 5 Robin Schulz - Sugar 4 Up 4 Coldplay - Adventure Of A Lifetime Stay => 3 Jess Glynne - Take Me Home Stay => 2 Fleur East - Sax 3 Up 1 Grace - You Don't Own Me 1 Up Hmm... "Hello" by Adele was the chart-topper in the previous edition of the chart... Where has it gone? Nowhere, I suspect. I'm sure that it's the actual number 1 in this edition of the chart but MTV Europe didn't play it and pretended that it doesn't exist! This is the third time such an absurd happens - the same situation occurred twice in 2015... And as a result, "You Don't Own Me" by Grace (supposedly the actual number 2) was presented as the new chart-topper!... It joins the ranks of the least deserving number ones in the history of the chart - how can a song top a EUROPEAN chart when it only has success in the UK and nowhere else in Europe?!...
  6. Euro Top 40 - (as broadcast on MTV Europe) Here is the chart of January 2, 2016: 40 39 38 37 36 35 34 33 32 31 30 29 28 27 26 25 24 WSTRN - In2 23 Ariana Grande - Focus 1 Up 22 Calvin Harris - How Deep Is Your Love 1 Up 21 One Direction - Perfect 1 Down 20 R. City & Adam Levine - Locked Away 2 Up 19 Years And Years - Eyes Shut 2 Down 18 Missy Elliott & Pharrell Williams - Where They From 4 Down 17 Sam Smith - Writing's On The Wall 2 Down 16 Olly Murs - Kiss Me 5 Down 15 Rudimental & Ed Sheeran - Lay It All On Me 1 Up 14 MNEK & Zara Larsson - Never Forget You 1 Down 13 Shawn Mendes - Stitches 5 Up 12 99 Souls, Destiny's Child & Brandy - The Girl Is Mine 11 Naughty Boy & Beyoncé Knowles - Runnin' 1 Up 10 Drake - Hotline Bling 1 Down 9 Robin Schulz - Sugar 1 Up 8 The Weeknd - The Hills 1 Down 7 Sigma & Rita Ora - Coming Home 1 Up 6 Sigala - Sweet Lovin' 5 Fleur East - Sax Stay => 4 Coldplay - Adventure Of A Lifetime 2 Down 3 Jess Glynne - Take Me Home Stay => 2 Grace - You Don't Own Me 2 Up 1 Adele - Hello Stay => When I watched this edition of the chart, MTV Europe didn't actually show the position of any of the songs! However, I'm assuming that the positions have consecutive numbers as this has been the pattern since August 2014.
  7. The old MTV European Top 20 chart, which had been broadcast on MTV Europe for more than 20 years, ended in 2012. However, it looks like since January 4, 2014 some European "chart" has started being broadcast again on MTV Europe. The chart is broadcast on Saturdays from 10:00 to 12:00 CET and from 19:00 to 21:00 CET and on Sundays from 12:00 to 14:00 CET. The chart seems to be a Top 40. However, not all the positions are shown - some of them are skipped each week. A more recent development (since August 2015) has been that all the positions shown have consecutive numbers (in almost all cases - from number 24 to number 1). But some songs are still skipped each week - it's just that there are no gaps in position numbers anymore to make that obvious. The songs that are skipped on this "Euro Top Chart" seem to be one of two cases: either songs that aren't played on MTV Europe in general; or when an artist has more than one song in the chart, not all are shown. It's also notable that the upper part of this chart is basically the same as the "Euro Top 20" chart that is broadcast on MTV Italy.
  8. Euro Top 40 - (as broadcast on MTV Europe) Here is the chart of December 26, 2015: 40 39 38 37 36 35 34 33 32 31 30 29 28 27 26 25 24 Ariana Grande - Focus 2 Down 23 Calvin Harris - How Deep Is Your Love 2 Down 22 R. City & Adam Levine - Locked Away 1 Up 21 David Guetta, Sia & Fetty Wap - Bang My Head 2 Down 20 One Direction - Perfect Stay => 19 Charlie Puth & Meghan Trainor - Marvin Gaye 18 Shawn Mendes - Stitches 17 Years And Years - Eyes Shut 7 Up 16 Rudimental & Ed Sheeran - Lay It All On Me 9 Down 15 Sam Smith - Writing's On The Wall 5 Down 14 Missy Elliott & Pharrell Williams - Where They From 5 Down 13 MNEK & Zara Larsson - Never Forget You 1 Down 12 Naughty Boy & Beyoncé Knowles - Runnin' 2 Up 11 Olly Murs - Kiss Me 3 Down 10 Robin Schulz - Sugar 3 Up 9 Drake - Hotline Bling 3 Down 8 Sigma & Rita Ora - Coming Home 10 Up 7 The Weeknd - The Hills 6 Justin Bieber - Love Yourself 5 Fleur East - Sax 2 Down 4 Grace - You Don't Own Me Stay => 3 Jess Glynne - Take Me Home 2 Coldplay - Adventure Of A Lifetime 1 Down 1 Adele - Hello 1 Up
  9. Euro Top 40 - (as broadcast on MTV Europe) Here is the chart of December 19, 2015: 40 39 38 37 36 35 34 33 32 31 30 29 28 27 26 25 24 Years And Years - Eyes Shut 23 R. City & Adam Levine - Locked Away 6 Down 22 Ariana Grande - Focus 1 Up 21 Calvin Harris - How Deep Is Your Love 20 One Direction - Perfect 4 Down 19 David Guetta, Sia & Fetty Wap - Bang My Head 18 Sigma & Rita Ora - Coming Home 17 Jamie Lawson - Wasn't Expecting That 2 Down 16 Ellie Goulding - On My Mind 3 Down 15 WSTRN - In2 3 Down 14 Naughty Boy & Beyoncé Knowles - Runnin' 3 Down 13 Robin Schulz - Sugar 5 Up 12 MNEK & Zara Larsson - Never Forget You 3 Down 11 99 Souls, Destiny's Child & Brandy - The Girl Is Mine 11 Up 10 Sam Smith - Writing's On The Wall 2 Down 9 Missy Elliott & Pharrell Williams - Where They From 10 Up 8 Olly Murs - Kiss Me 3 Down 7 Rudimental & Ed Sheeran - Lay It All On Me 3 Up 6 Drake - Hotline Bling 1 Up 5 Justin Bieber - Sorry 3 Down 4 Grace - You Don't Own Me 2 Up 3 Fleur East - Sax Stay => 2 Adele - Hello 1 Down 1 Coldplay - Adventure Of A Lifetime 3 Up I Wasn't Expecting That! "Adventure Of A Lifetime" becomes Coldplay's 4th chart-topper in the history of MTV Europe's European chart after "Speed Of Sound", "Violet Hill" and "Viva La Vida". Another curious thing is the song "The Girl Is Mine", which mixes 2 previous songs. What's remarkable is that both "The Boy Is Mine" by Brandy and Monica and (believe it or not!) "Girl" by Destiny's Child were number ones in MTV Europe's European chart! Could "The Girl Is Mine" somehow do the same?...
  10. Euro Top 40 - (as broadcast on MTV Europe) Here is the chart of December 12, 2015: 40 39 38 37 36 35 34 33 32 31 30 29 28 27 26 25 24 KDA, Tinie Tempah & Katy B - Turn The Music Louder 10 Down 23 Ariana Grande - Focus 4 Down 22 99 Souls, Destiny's Child & Brandy - The Girl Is Mine 21 Aurora - Half The World Away 3 Down 20 The Weeknd - The Hills 19 Missy Elliott & Pharrell Williams - Where They From 18 Robin Schulz - Sugar 1 Down 17 R. 11. Euro Top 40 - (as broadcast on MTV Europe) Here is the chart of December 5, 2015: 40 39 38 37 36 35 34 33 32 31 30 29 28 27 26 25 24 David Guetta, Sia & Fetty Wap - Bang My Head Stay => 23 Olly Murs - Kiss Me 4 Down 22 Sigala - Easy Love 2 Down 21 Lost Frequencies - Reality 20 Years And Years - Eyes Shut 19 Ariana Grande - Focus 4 Down 18 Aurora - Half The World Away 6 Down 17 Robin Schulz - Sugar 4 Up 16 R. City & Adam Levine - Locked Away 5 Down 15 Jamie Lawson - Wasn't Expecting That 1 Down 14 KDA, Tinie Tempah & Katy B - Turn The Music Louder 5 Down 13 Little Mix - Love Me Like You 12 Calvin Harris - How Deep Is Your Love 4 Up 11 Ellie Goulding - On My Mind 4 Down 10 Rudimental & Ed Sheeran - Lay It All On Me Stay => 9 Drake - Hotline Bling 5 Down 8 Naughty Boy & Beyoncé Knowles - Runnin' 2 Down 7 MNEK & Zara Larsson - Never Forget You 1 Up 6 One Direction - Perfect 1 Down 5 WSTRN - In2 4 Justin Bieber - Sorry 3 Down 3 Sam Smith - Writing's On The Wall Stay => 2 Justin Bieber - Love Yourself 1 Adele - Hello 1 Up Finally "Hello" by Adele is shown as number 1!!! Well done, MTV Europe! The other very remarkable thing is that MTV played 2 different songs by the same artist during the same edition of the chart! This is something extraordinary - in most cases, when an artist has 2 songs simultaneously, MTV just play one of them and skip the other one! However, now they played both songs by Justin Bieber - "Sorry" at number 4 and "Love Yourself" at number 2! Maybe there is some justice in this - many times they didn't play "What Do You Mean?" at all, even when it was Justin's only song in the chart...
  12. "Wasn't Expecting That" by Jamie Lawson is actually a re-entry.
  13. Euro Top 40 - (as broadcast on MTV Europe) Here is the chart of November 28, 2015: 40 39 38 37 36 35 34 33 32 31 30 29 28 27 26 25 24 David Guetta, Sia & Fetty Wap - Bang My Head 23 Kygo & Ella Henderson - Here For You 1 Down 22 Taylor Swift - Wildest Dreams 5 Down 21 Robin Schulz - Sugar 7 Down 20 Sigala - Easy Love 19 Olly Murs - Kiss Me 3 Down 18 The Weeknd - The Hills 16 Down 17 Macklemore - Downtown 7 Down 16 Calvin Harris - How Deep Is Your Love 1 Down 15 Ariana Grande - Focus 7 Down 14 Jamie Lawson - Wasn't Expecting That 1 Down 13 Ben Haenow & Kelly Clarkson - Second Hand Heart 7 Up 12 Aurora - Half The World Away 6 Up 11 R. City & Adam Levine - Locked Away Stay => 10 Rudimental & Ed Sheeran - Lay It All On Me 9 KDA, Tinie Tempah & Katy B - Turn The Music Louder 2 Down 8 MNEK & Zara Larsson - Never Forget You 2 Down 7 Ellie Goulding - On My Mind 2 Up 6 Naughty Boy & Beyoncé Knowles - Runnin' 2 Down 5 One Direction - Perfect 4 Drake - Hotline Bling 3 Sam Smith - Writing's On The Wall 2 Down 2 Adele - Hello 1 Justin Bieber - Sorry 2 Up Luckily, I actually managed to watch this latest edition of the "Euro Top Chart"! The first wonderful thing is that this time they played "Hello" by Adele! However, they have only started doing that after it left the top spot - now it's replaced there by "Sorry" by Justin Bieber... It will be quite ironic if "Hello" never returns to number 1 - then, according to the history of this chart, it would never have been a chart-topper (which it was in fact - for 2 weeks)!... The other wonderful thing is that MTV Europe have also started playing "Lay It All On Me" by Rudimental and Ed Sheeran! It's always sad when they for some reason decide not to play certain songs so it's great when they finally correct the injustice!
  14. IMPORTANT: This weekend I won't be able to watch the "Euro Top Chart". Would someone be so kind to watch the chart and write it down? MTV Europe broadcasts it 3 times during the weekend: from 10:00 to 12:00 CET on Saturday; from 19:00 to 21:00 CET on Saturday; and from 12:00 to 14:00 CET on Sunday.
  15. Euro Top 40 - (as broadcast on MTV Europe) Here is the chart of November 21, 2015: 40 39 38 37 36 35 34 33 32 31 30 29 28 27 26 25 24 23 Walk The Moon - Shut Up And Dance 5 Down 22 Kygo & Ella Henderson - Here For You 21 Jess Glynne - Don't Be So Hard On Yourself 4 Down 20 Ben Haenow & Kelly Clarkson - Second Hand Heart 4 Down 19 Ed Sheeran - Photograph 18 Aurora - Half The World Away 17 Taylor Swift - Wildest Dreams 3 Down 16 Olly Murs - Kiss Me 4 Up 15 Calvin Harris - How Deep Is Your Love 5 Down 14 Robin Schulz - Sugar 5 Up 13 Jamie Lawson - Wasn't Expecting That 4 Down 12 Lost Frequencies - Reality 3 Up 11 R. City & Adam Levine - Locked Away 3 Down 10 Macklemore - Downtown 3 Down 9 Ellie Goulding - On My Mind 2 Up 8 Ariana Grande - Focus 3 Down 7 KDA, Tinie Tempah & Katy B - Turn The Music Louder 1 Down 6 MNEK & Zara Larsson - Never Forget You 6 Up 5 WSTRN - In2 4 Naughty Boy & Beyoncé Knowles - Runnin' Stay => 3 Justin Bieber - Sorry 2 The Weeknd - The Hills 1 Down 1 Sam Smith - Writing's On The Wall 1 Up For a second week in a row MTV Europe absurdly didn't play the actual number 1 - "Hello by Adele - and pretended that it doesn't exist! Instead, the actual number 2 - "Writing's On The Wall" by Sam Smith - was presented as the (new) chart-topper! And thus it becomes Sam Smith's first number 1 in this "Euro Top Chart"...
  16. A minor difference - "Turn The Music Louder" is above "Focus" here while "Focus" is above "Turn The Music Louder" in the corresponding edition of MTV Europe's "Euro Top Chart".
  17. Euro Top 40 - (as broadcast on MTV Europe) Here is the chart of November 14, 2015: 40 39 38 37 36 35 34 33 32 31 30 29 28 27 26 25 24 23 Little Mix - Black Magic 4 Down 22 OMI - Hula Hoop 7 Down 21 Pia Mia - Do It Again 5 Down 20 Olly Murs - Kiss Me 3 Down 19 Robin Schulz - Sugar 5 Down 18 Walk The Moon - Shut Up And Dance Stay => 17 Jess Glynne - Don't Be So Hard On Yourself 4 Down 16 Ben Haenow & Kelly Clarkson - Second Hand Heart 15 Lost Frequencies - Reality 8 Up 14 Taylor Swift - Wildest Dreams 3 Down 13 Sigala - Easy Love 4 Down 12 MNEK & Zara Larsson - Never Forget You 10 Up 11 Ellie Goulding - On My Mind 3 Down 10 Calvin Harris - How Deep Is Your Love 3 Down 9 Jamie Lawson - Wasn't Expecting That 3 Down 8 R. City & Adam Levine - Locked Away 3 Down 7 Macklemore - Downtown 3 Up 6 KDA, Tinie Tempah & Katy B - Turn The Music Louder 5 Ariana Grande - Focus 4 Naughty Boy & Beyoncé Knowles - Runnin' 1 Down 3 Drake - Hotline Bling 2 Sam Smith - Writing's On The Wall 2 Up 1 The Weeknd - The Hills 1 Up It's good that MTV Europe have finally started playing "Hotline Bling" by Drake. But... According to MTV Italy's "Euro Top 20", the number 1 in this edition of the chart is "Hello" by Adele. However, MTV Europe didn't play it at all and pretended that it doesn't exist!... As a result, "The Hills" by The Weeknd, which is actually at number 2, was presented as the new chart-topper in this "Euro Top Chart"!
  18. Euro Top 40 - (as broadcast on MTV Europe) Here is the chart of November 7, 2015: 40 39 38 37 36 35 34 33 32 31 30 29 28 27 26 25 24 Kygo & Ella Henderson - Here For You 3 Down 23 Lost Frequencies - Reality 3 Down 22 MNEK & Zara Larsson - Never Forget You 3 Down 21 Rachel Platten - Fight Song 20 James Bay - Let It Go 19 Little Mix - Black Magic 18 Walk The Moon - Shut Up And Dance 17 Olly Murs - Kiss Me 9 Down 16 Pia Mia - Do It Again 15 OMI - Hula Hoop 3 Up 14 Robin Schulz - Sugar 1 Down 13 Jess Glynne - Don't Be So Hard On Yourself 4 Up 12 Ed Sheeran - Photograph 3 Up 11 Taylor Swift - Wildest Dreams 1 Up 10 Macklemore - Downtown 1 Down 9 Sigala - Easy Love 3 Down 8 Ellie Goulding - On My Mind 3 Up 7 Calvin Harris - How Deep Is Your Love 2 Down 6 Jamie Lawson - Wasn't Expecting That 2 Down 5 R. City & Adam Levine - Locked Away 4 Down 4 Sam Smith - Writing's On The Wall 3 Up 3 Naughty Boy & Beyoncé Knowles - Runnin' Stay => 2 The Weeknd - The Hills Stay => 1 Justin Bieber - What Do You Mean? Five editions of the chart ago "What Do You Mean?" by Justin Bieber climbed to number 1... The following week it was replaced by "Locked Away" by R. City and Adam Levine, which stayed at the top for 4 weeks... but now "What Do You Mean?" returns to number 1! What's absurd is that during the previous 2 editions of the chart MTV Europe didn't play "What Do You Mean?", they pretended that it didn't exist... and now it suddenly appears out of nowhere back at the top!
  19. An interesting difference - "Kiss Me" by Olly Murs is at number 8 in the corresponding edition of MTV Europe's "Euro Top Chart" but is nowhere to be seen here!
  20. Euro Top 40 - (as broadcast on MTV Europe) Here is the chart of October 31, 2015: 40 39 38 37 36 35 34 33 32 31 30 29 28 27 26 25 24 Fetty Wap - 679 23 Ben Haenow & Kelly Clarkson - Second Hand Heart 22 Felix Jaehn & Jasmine Thompson - Ain't Nobody 3 Down 21 Kygo & Ella Henderson - Here For You 20 Lost Frequencies - Reality 2 Up 19 MNEK & Zara Larsson - Never Forget You 18 OMI - Hula Hoop 17 Jess Glynne - Don't Be So Hard On Yourself Stay => 16 KDA, Tinie Tempah & Katy B - Turn The Music Louder 15 Ed Sheeran - Photograph 3 Down 14 Philip George & Anton Powers - Alone No More 8 Down 13 Robin Schulz - Sugar 5 Down 12 Taylor Swift - Wildest Dreams 2 Up 11 Ellie Goulding - On My Mind 8 Down 10 Charlie Puth & Meghan Trainor - Marvin Gaye Stay => 9 Macklemore - Downtown Stay => 8 Olly Murs - Kiss Me 10 Up 7 Sam Smith - Writing's On The Wall 5 Down 6 Sigala - Easy Love 2 Down 5 Calvin Harris - How Deep Is Your Love 2 Up 4 Jamie Lawson - Wasn't Expecting That 3 Naughty Boy & Beyoncé Knowles - Runnin' 2 Up 2 The Weeknd - The Hills 1 R. City & Adam Levine - Locked Away Stay => This time there's an interesting difference between this chart and MTV Italy's "Euro Top 20" chart. "Kiss Me" by Olly Murs climbs to number 8 here while it's nowhere to be seen in "Euro Top 20"! We'll see whether more differences appear in the future. Otherwise, The Weeknd is having quite a successful year in this "Euro Top Chart". "The Hills" becomes his third Top 2 hit in 2015 after "Earned It" and "Can't Feel My Face" (which even reached number 1).

This time they played "Runnin'" by Naughty Boy and Beyoncé Knowles during the "advertisement period" between positions number 5 and 4. It was given no position. However, it should actually be a part of the chart!...
  24. Euro Top 40 - (as broadcast on MTV Europe) Here is the chart of October 3, 2015: 40 39 38 37 36 35 34 33 32 31 30 29 28 27 26 25 Little Mix - Black Magic 24 Silentó - Watch Me 4 Down 23 Years And Years - Shine 1 Down 22 Birdy - Wings 3 Down 21 Martin Solveig - Intoxicated 6 Down 20 Naughty Boy & Beyoncé Knowles - Runnin' 19 Lost Frequencies - Reality 18 One Direction - Drag Me Down 2 Down 17 Walk The Moon - Shut Up And Dance 3 Down 16 Demi Lovato - Cool For The Summer 4 Down 15 Taylor Swift - Wildest Dreams 3 Up 14 Pia Mia - Do It Again 1 Down 13 Ed Sheeran - Photograph 3 Down 12 Felix Jaehn & Jasmine Thompson - Ain't Nobody 3 Down 11 Macklemore - Downtown Stay => 10 Galantis - Peanut Butter Jelly 4 Down 9 Rachel Platten - Fight Song 8 Charlie Puth & Meghan Trainor - Marvin Gaye 1 Down 7 Jess Glynne - Don't Be So Hard On Yourself 3 Down 6 The Weeknd - Can't Feel My Face 1 Down 5 Shamir - Call It Off 4 Robin Schulz - Sugar 3 Sigala - Easy Love 1 Down 2 R. City & Adam Levine - Locked Away 6 Up 1 Justin Bieber - What Do You Mean? 2 Up Perhaps MTV Europe have listened to my comments from last week?! This time they did show the song in the last "advertisement period" as a part of the chart (and, as a result, for the first time they played 25 songs from the chart)! However, it looks like they made a mistake regarding that song in particular - the number 5, which, according to them, is "Call It Off" by Shamir... A song that is nowhere to be seen in the various European charts... The number 5 supposedly had to be "How Deep Is Your Love" by Calvin Harris - the previous number 1, which suspiciously doesn't appear in this edition of the chart at all!... The new number 1 is "What Do You Mean?" by Justin Bieber - which should have been at the top of the chart 3 editions ago as well but then MTV Europe pretended that it didn't exist... So it's nice that now it has had the chance to be played as the number 1... It's also great that MTV Europe have finally started playing "Sugar" by Robin Schulz (currently at number 4). I love it when they play songs that haven't entered the UK chart but are having success in other European countries' singles charts!
  25. "Wildest Dreams" by Taylor Swift is above "Do It Again" by Pia Mia here while "Do It Again" is above "Wildest Dreams" in the corresponding edition of MTV Europe's "Euro Top Chart".
