  1. Thank you for your replies! I have sent emails to MTV Europe many times to ask for earlier archives but there hasn't been any result until now... And if someone has this archive, it has to be exactly MTV Europe! I really hope they haven't lost it... Otherwise I don't mind waiting for years until they decide to share it...
  2. flatdeejay, when did you start watching MTV European Top 20? I'm desperately looking for someone who has watched it before December 1991 because there are no archives before that date... Anyway, here is the chart of October 13, 2007: 20 Axwell - I Found U NEW 19 Hard-Fi - Suburban Knights 1 Down 18 Sugababes - About You Now NEW 17 Robyn & Kleerup - With Every Heartbeat 3 Up 16 Will.I.Am - I Got It From My Mama 3 Up 15 Fergie - Big Girls Don't Cry 6 Down 14 Nicole Scherzinger - Whatever U Like 3 Up 13 Enrique Iglesias - Tired Of Being Sorry 3 Up 12 Nelly Furtado - Do It 2 Up 11 Maroon 5 - Wake Up Call 3 Down 10 Jennifer Lopez - Do It Well 1 Up 9 James Blunt - 1973 3 Up 8 Sean Kingston - Beautiful Girls 1 Down 7 Kanye West - Stronger 4 Down 6 Plain White T's - Hey There Delilah 4 Up 5 Timbaland & Keri Hilson - The Way I Are 3 Down 4 Linkin Park - Bleed It Out 1 Up 3 Foo Fighters - The Pretender 3 Up 2 50 Cent & Justin Timberlake - Ayo Technology 2 Up 1 Rihanna - Shut Up And Drive Stay => There are two new entries this week. At number 20 we find... Axwell with "I Found U". With Robyn and Kleerup debuting last week, it looks like the Swedes are beginning to conquer the chart (eller hur?)! The other new entry, at number 18, is "About You Now" by Sugababes. They have been absent from the chart for quite a long time... or actually not. In fact, their last hit was still in European Top 20 at the beginning of this year. I'm talking about "Easy", which actually became their smallest hit in the chart, peaking at number 12. "Beautiful Girls" by Sean Kingston falls for a second consecutive week after only reaching number 6. I wonder whether that will remain its peak position or we can expect a sudden reclimb? Linkin Park seem to really like the number 4 position. "Bleed It Out" climbs to this position and if it doesn't go any further, it will become their fourth single to peak there after "In The End", "Somewhere I Belong" and "Numb/Encore" with Jay-Z. Otherwise, there is no change at the top, where "Shut Up And Drive" remains for a second week. But "Ayo Technology" by 50 Cent and Justin Timberlake seems to be a strong contender for the number 1 spot - as indicated also by the MTV chart presenter, Charlotte.
  3. Hi Skyzzo! I know that there are newer charts available but on MTV Europe they show European Top 20 with more than a week's delay... And I don't want to know the chart before I watch it!
  4. Here is the chart of October 6, 2007: 20 Robyn & Kleerup - With Every Heartbeat NEW 19 Will.I.Am - I Got It From My Mama NEW 18 Hard-Fi - Suburban Knights 2 Down 17 Nicole Scherzinger - Whatever U Like NEW 16 Enrique Iglesias - Tired Of Being Sorry 2 Up 15 Justin Timberlake - LoveStoned 11 Down 14 Nelly Furtado - Do It 6 Up 13 Gym Class Heroes - Clothes Off!! 2 Down 12 James Blunt - 1973 5 Up 11 Jennifer Lopez - Do It Well NEW 10 Plain White T's - Hey There Delilah 5 Up 9 Fergie - Big Girls Don't Cry Stay => 8 Maroon 5 - Wake Up Call 1 Down 7 Sean Kingston - Beautiful Girls 1 Down 6 Foo Fighters - The Pretender 4 Up 5 Linkin Park - Bleed It Out Stay => 4 50 Cent & Justin Timberlake - Ayo Technology 4 Up 3 Kanye West - Stronger 1 Down 2 Timbaland & Keri Hilson - The Way I Are 1 Down 1 Rihanna - Shut Up And Drive 2 Up The most notable thing this week is that "Shut Up And Drive" by Rihanna becomes number 1. This becomes her FIFTH consecutive number 1 after "Pon De Replay", "S.O.S.", "Unfaithful" and "Umbrella". As "If It's Lovin' That You Want" and "We Ride" didn't enter European Top 20 at all, Rihanna has now achieved the best debut in the chart's history - the first five songs of hers which have entered the chart have gone all the way to the top! The previous record was by Gwen Stefani... although she did first appear in the chart as a collaborator on Eve's "Let Me Blow Ya Mind". However, as a main artist, her first four singles - "What You Waiting For?", "Rich Girl", "Hollaback Girl" and "Cool" - all became number ones. That's also an impressive achievement because they were all taken from the same album while Rihanna's five chart-toppers come from 3 different albums... The song that "Shut Up And Drive" replaces at the top is "The Way I Are" by Timbaland and Keri Hilson, which, however, has already scored the most weeks at number 1 this year - 7 weeks. The previous record holder for 2007 was... Rihanna's "Umbrella" (6 weeks). There are four new entries this week. The lowest one - at number 20 - is a nice surprise. While "With Every Heartbeat" by Robyn and Kleerup is having success in various European countries, I didn't really expect it to enter this chart. But it does - and thus becomes the first hit for both artists in European Top 20. A place above, at number 19, is the second new entry - "I Got It From My Mama" by Will.I.Am. With Fergie still in the chart with "Big Girls Don't Cry", now only Apl.De.Ap and Taboo need to appear in the chart and all of Black Eyed Peas' members will have simultaneous hits in it! At number 17 is the most questionable new entry - "Whatever U Like" by Nicole Schrezinger. As far as I know, it hasn't been released anywhere in Europe... Anyway, strangely enough, this is her first hit in European Top 20 as a solo artist - her collaboration with P. Diddy "Come To Me" didn't make the chart. The highest new entry - at number 11 - is "Do It Well" by Jennifer Lopez. She was last seen in the chart last year on LL Cool J's "Control Myself". Her previous chart hit as a main artist was "Get Right" in 2005, which peaked at number 5. Otherwise, there are a few bigger movements in the chart, particularly the 11-place fall of "LoveStoned" by Justin Timberlake - from number 4 to number 15. Justin is definitely no stranger to this kind of movement as both "Cry Me A River" in 2003 and "My Love" earlier this year fell 11 places as well, going 6-17 and 5-16, respectively...
