  1. Regarding the title of the topic - I think you just need to choose to edit the first post ("Full Edit") and you'll get an option to make changes to the title.
  2. Euro Top Chart - (as broadcast on MTV Europe) Here is the chart of January 6, 2024: 20 Drake & J. Cole - First Person Shooter 7 Down 19 Asake & H.E.R. - Lonely At The Top NEW 18 Victoria Monét - On My Mama 1 Up 17 Maluma - Bikini 1 Down 16 NewJeans - Super Shy 1 Down 15 Eliza Rose & Calvin Harris - Body Moving 3 Up 14 Taylor Swift - Is It Over Now? 2 Down 13 Pink - All Out Of Fight 7 Up 12 Noah Kahan - Stick Season 1 Down 11 Teddy Swims - Lose Control 3 Up 10 Tyla - Water Stay => 9 Tate McRae - Greedy Stay => 8 Dua Lipa - Houdini 1 Down 7 Doja Cat - Paint The Town Red 1 Down 6 Kenya Grace - Strangers 1 Down 5 Jungkook - Standing Next To You 1 Down 4 Mitski - My Love Mine All Mine 1 Down 3 Tate McRae - Exes 2 Down 2 Jack Harlow - Lovin' On Me Stay => 1 Olivia Rodrigo - Can't Catch Me Now 7 Up 2023 was a very successful year for Olivia Rodrigo as she had 3 number ones - "Vampire", "Bad Idea Right?" and "Get Him Back!". Now she scores yet another chart-topper with "Can't Catch Me Now" in the first edition of the chart for 2024.
  3. The old MTV European Top 20 chart, which had been broadcast on MTV Europe for more than 20 years, ended in 2012. However, it looks like since January 4, 2014 some European "chart" has started being broadcast again on MTV Europe. The chart is broadcast on Fridays from 8:30 to 9:45 CET; on Saturdays from 9:30 to 10:45 CET; and on Sundays from 6:00 to 7:15 CET. At first the chart seemed to be a Top 40 but in later years MTV Europe sometimes showed positions between number 50 and number 41, indicating a Top 50. However, not all the positions were shown - some of them were skipped each week. It was also notable that the upper part of this chart was basically the same as the "Euro Top 20" chart broadcast on MTV Italy. However, in February 2021 there was a change in the way the chart was being made. Soon after, MTV Europe started showing just a Top 20. And since May 2022 the chart's name has changed to "MTV Top 20".
  4. A small correction - the title of the topic is "MTV Hits MTV Top 20 2023" but it should be for 2024.
  5. Euro Top Chart - (as broadcast on MTV Europe) Here is the chart of December 30, 2023: 20 Pink - All Out Of Fight NEW 19 Victoria Monét - On My Mama 1 Up 18 Eliza Rose & Calvin Harris - Body Moving NEW 17 Cassö, Raye & D-Block Europe - Prada 1 Down 16 Maluma - Bikini 3 Down 15 NewJeans - Super Shy Stay => 14 Teddy Swims - Lose Control NEW 13 Drake & J. Cole - First Person Shooter 2 Down 12 Taylor Swift - Is It Over Now? 3 Down 11 Noah Kahan - Stick Season 5 Down 10 Tyla - Water 2 Up 9 Tate McRae - Greedy 8 Down 8 Olivia Rodrigo - Can't Catch Me Now 2 Up 7 Dua Lipa - Houdini 5 Down 6 Doja Cat - Paint The Town Red 2 Up 5 Kenya Grace - Strangers Stay => 4 Jungkook - Standing Next To You 1 Down 3 Mitski - My Love Mine All Mine 4 Up 2 Jack Harlow - Lovin' On Me 2 Up 1 Tate McRae - Exes 13 Up Tate McRae replaces herself at the top - "Greedy" falls 8 places to number 9 while "Exes" climbs 13 places to number 1. And this is the final edition of the chart for this year. 2023 is a notable year because only 2 songs managed to spend 2 weeks at number 1 - "What Was I Made For?" by Billie Eilish and "Greedy" by Tate McRae. All the other chart-toppers reigned for just one week.
  6. Euro Top Chart - (as broadcast on MTV Europe) Here is the chart of December 23, 2023: 20 Victoria Monét - On My Mama 19 Paul Russell - Lil' Boo Thang 18 Chris Brown - Sensational 17 Tems - Me & U 16 Cassö, Raye & D-Block Europe - Prada 15 NewJeans - Super Shy 14 Tate McRae - Exes 13 Maluma - Bikini 12 Tyla - Water 11 Drake & J. Now the "Euro Top Chart" is broadcast from 9:00 to 10:15 CET on Friday and from 6:00 to 7:15 CET on Sunday. "Greedy" by Tate McRae returns to number 1 for a second week there! This is remarkable because it's only the second song this year to spend 2 weeks at the top after "What Was I Made For?" by Billie Eilish. Yes, EVERY SINGLE other chart-topper in 2023 enjoyed merely one week at number 1!
  7. For the chart of December 16, 2023, MTV Europe didn't play a new edition of the chart. Instead, they repeated the chart of December 9, 2023!
  8. Euro Top Chart - (as broadcast on MTV Europe) Here is the chart of December 9, 2023: 20 Drake & J. Cole - First Person Shooter NEW 19 Olivia Rodrigo - Can't Catch Me Now 1 Up 18 J Balvin, Usher & DJ Khaled - Dientes 1 Down 17 Tems - Me & U 2 Down 16 Troye Sivan - One Of Your Girls Stay => 15 Tate McRae - Exes NEW 14 Paul Russell - Lil' Boo Thang Stay => 13 Taylor Swift - Now That We Don't Talk Stay => 12 Jungkook - 3D 1 Down 11 Noah Kahan - Stick Season 1 Up 10 Cassö, Raye & D-Block Europe - Prada Stay => 9 Tyla - Water 2 Down 8 Taylor Swift - Is It Over Now? 3 Down 7 Doja Cat - Paint The Town Red 1 Down 6 Kenya Grace - Strangers 3 Up 5 Dua Lipa - Houdini 3 Down 4 Tate McRae - Greedy Stay => 3 Jungkook - Standing Next To You Stay => 2 Jack Harlow - Lovin' On Me 1 Down 1 Mitski - My Love Mine All Mine 7 Up There have been a lot of surprising number ones in this chart... Now "My Love Mine All Mine" by Mitski joins that "list" as it suddenly climbs 7 places to the top in its seventh week in the chart.
  9. Euro Top Chart - (as broadcast on MTV Europe) Here is the chart of December 2, 2023: 20 Olivia Rodrigo - Can't Catch Me Now NEW 19 The Kid Laroi, Jungkook & Central Cee - Too Much 1 Up 18 Beatles - Now And Then 5 Down 17 J Balvin, Usher & DJ Khaled - Dientes 2 Up 16 Troye Sivan - One Of Your Girls 1 Up 15 Tems - Me & U 1 Down 14 Paul Russell - Lil' Boo Thang 2 Up 13 Taylor Swift - Now That We Don't Talk 2 Down 12 Noah Kahan - Stick Season 3 Up 11 Jungkook - 3D 1 Down 10 Cassö, Raye & D-Block Europe - Prada 2 Up 9 Kenya Grace - Strangers Stay => 8 Mitski - My Love Mine All Mine Stay => 7 Tyla - Water Stay => 6 Doja Cat - Paint The Town Red Stay => 5 Taylor Swift - Is It Over Now? Can you guess which was the first one (the answer is puzzling)? ..."Nail Tech"!
  10. Euro Top Chart - (as broadcast on MTV Europe) Here is the chart of November 25, 2023: 20 The Kid Laroi, Jungkook & Central Cee - Too Much Stay => 19 J Balvin, Usher & DJ Khaled - Dientes 3 Down 18 Taylor Swift - "Slut!" 11 Down 17 Troye Sivan - One Of Your Girls 2 Down 16 Paul Russell - Lil' Boo Thang NEW 15 Noah Kahan - Stick Season 2 Down 14 Tems - Me & U Stay => 13 Beatles - Now And Then 1 Down 12 Cassö, Raye & D-Block Europe - Prada 2 Down 11 Taylor Swift - Now That We Don't Talk 6 Down 10 Jungkook - 3D 1 Down 9 Kenya Grace - Strangers 1 Down 8 Mitski - My Love Mine All Mine 3 Up 7 Tyla - Water 1 Down 6 Doja Cat - Paint The Town Red 2 Down 5 Taylor Swift - Is It Over Now? 2 Down 4 Dua Lipa - Houdini NEW 3 Jack Harlow - Lovin' On Me NEW 2 Tate McRae - Greedy 1 Down 1 Jungkook - Standing Next To You 1 Up "Standing Next To You" climbs to the top, thus becoming Jungkook's third number 1 after "Left And Right" (with Charlie Puth) and "Too Much" (with The Kid Laroi and Central Cee). In addition, his 2 previous singles - "Seven" and "3D" - both peaked at number 2.
  11. Euro Top Chart - (as broadcast on MTV Europe) Here is the chart of November 18, 2023: 20 The Kid Laroi, Jungkook & Central Cee - Too Much 17 Down 19 Drake - 8AM In Charlotte 7 Down 18 Ice Spice & Rema - Pretty Girl 5 Down 17 Jungkook - Seven 2 Up 16 J Balvin, Usher & DJ Khaled - Dientes 4 Up 15 Troye Sivan - One Of Your Girls 14 Down 14 Tems - Me & U 2 Up 13 Noah Kahan - Stick Season 1 Up 12 Beatles - Now And Then NEW 11 Mitski - My Love Mine All Mine 2 Down 10 Cassö, Raye & D-Block Europe - Prada 1 Up 9 Jungkook - 3D 1 Up 8 Kenya Grace - Strangers Stay => 7 Taylor Swift - "Slut!" 3 Down 6 Tyla - Water 1 Up 5 Taylor Swift - Now That We Don't Talk NEW 4 Doja Cat - Paint The Town Red 2 Up 3 Taylor Swift - Is It Over Now? 1 Down 2 Jungkook - Standing Next To You NEW 1 Tate McRae - Greedy 4 Up BEATLES ARE IN THE CHART!!!!!! Their previous appearance was back in 1996 when "Free As A Bird" peaked at number 3. The biggest question is why "Now And Then" debuts as low as number 12... Hopefully this won't remain its peak position! Jungkook probably makes history this week. I really don't think anyone before has had FOUR SONGS SIMULTANEOUSLY IN THE CHART! Here they are: "Too Much" (with The Kid Laroi and Central Cee) at number 20; "Seven" at number 17; "3D" at number 9; and "Standing Next To You" - a new entry at number 2! ...And one place higher, "Greedy" becomes Tate McRae's second chart-topper after "10:35" (with DJ Tiesto). It reaches number 1 in its seventh week in the chart - the longest any song has taken to achieve this in 2023.
  12. NEW 1 Troye Sivan - One Of Your Girls NEW A year ago Taylor Swift entered the chart simultaneously with 2 different songs - "Bejeweled" and "Anti-Hero". Now she repeats that achievement with ""Slut!"" (at number 4) and "Is It Over Now?" (at number 2). Last week "Got Me Started" by Troye Sivan reached a new peak position - number 10... but now it's left the chart. On the other hand, another song by Troye Sivan - "One Of Your Girls" - debuts at the top!

This is not the first song with this title to reach the top of MTV Europe's European chart - "Too Much" by Spice Girls did it at the beginning of 1998.
  14. 17. Looking at the movements in this week's edition of the chart, it reminds me of how the "old", "classic" MTV Europe's European chart was... Let's see what will happen in the future...
  20. Euro Top Chart - (as broadcast on MTV Europe) Here is the chart of September 16, 2023: 20 Kylie Minogue - Tension NEW 19 Charli XCX - Speed Drive 5 Down 18 Michael Brun & Anne-Marie - Coming Your Way NEW 17 Calvin Harris & Sam Smith - Desire 7 Down 16 Reneé Rapp - Talk Too Much NEW 15 Troye Sivan - Rush 4 Down 14 Usher & Summer Walker - Good Good 6 Up 13 Olivia Rodrigo - Vampire Stay => 12 V - Love Me Again NEW 11 Peggy Gou - It Goes Like Nanana 2 Down 10 Karol G - Mi Ex Tenia Razon 8 Up 9 Dave & Central Cee - Sprinter 1 Down 8 Miley Cyrus - Used To Be Young 7 Down 7 Nicki Minaj, Ice Spice & Aqua - Barbie World Stay => 6 Olivia Rodrigo - Bad Idea Right? Stay => 2 Doja Cat - Paint The Town Red Stay => 1 Selena Gomez - Single Soon 11 Up V debuts at number 12 with "Love Me Again" and thus becomes the SIXTH member of BTS to appear in MTV Europe's European chart! It's absolutely certain that no group until now has had SIX of its members chart as solo artists!!!!!! The other BTS members to chart as solo artists are Jungkook (who is incidentally currently at number 4 with "Seven"), Jin, RM, J-Hope and Jimin. Only Suga has yet to make an appearance here. Selena Gomez scores her very first chart-topper with "Single Soon", which jumps 12-1. Before that her peak position was number 3 - achieved by "We Don't Talk Anymore", her duet with Charlie Puth.
  21. Euro Top Chart - (as broadcast on MTV Europe) Here is the chart of September 9, 2023: 20 Usher & Summer Walker - Good Good NEW 19 Fifty Fifty - Cupid 1 Down 18 Karol G - Mi Ex Tenia Razon NEW 17 The Weeknd & Madonna - Popular 3 Down 16 Halle - Angel 1 Down 15 David Kushner - Daylight 7 Down 14 Charli XCX - Speed Drive NEW 13 Olivia Rodrigo - Vampire 8 Down 12 Selena Gomez - Single Soon NEW 11 Troye Sivan - Rush Stay => 10 Calvin Harris & Sam Smith - Desire 1 Down 9 Peggy Gou - It Goes Like Nanana 3 Up 8 Dave & Central Cee - Sprinter 1 Down 7 Nicki Minaj, Ice Spice & Aqua - Barbie World 1 Down 6 Olivia Rodrigo - Bad Idea Right? 4 Up 5 Dua Lipa - Dance The Night 1 Down 4 Jungkook - Seven 1 Down 3 Billie Eilish - What Was I Made For? 1 Down 2 Doja Cat - Paint The Town Red 1 Down 1 Miley Cyrus - Used To Be Young NEW "Speed Drive" by Charlie XCX debuts at number 14. It joins "Barbie World" (at number 7), "Dance The Night" (at number 5) and "What Was I Made For?" (at number 3) and thus there are FOUR songs from one and the same soundtrack (for "Barbie") simultaneously in the chart! I really doubt that such a thing has ever happened before! "Used To Be Young" becomes the third number 1 of Miley Cyrus in 2023 after "Flowers" and "River".
  22. Euro Top Chart - (as broadcast on MTV Europe) Here is the chart of September 2, 2023: 20 Jain - Makeba 1 Down 19 Kali - Area Codes 4 Down 18 Fifty Fifty - Cupid 6 Down 17 Travis Scott, Bad Bunny & The Weeknd - K-POP 8 Down 16 Zayn - Love Like This Stay => 15 Halle - Angel 2 Up 14 The Weeknd & Madonna - Popular 3 Down 13 TXT & Jonas Brothers - Do It Like That 1 Up 12 Peggy Gou - It Goes Like Nanana 2 Down 11 Troye Sivan - Rush 2 Up 10 Olivia Rodrigo - Bad Idea Right? Stay => 1 Doja Cat - Paint The Town Red 19 Up Just 2 weeks ago Zayn climbed 19 places from the very bottom to the very top of the chart with "Love Like This". Now Doja Cat does the same with "Paint The Town Red". This is staggeringly her SIXTH number 1 after "Kiss Me More", "Need To Know", "You Right", "Vegas" and "Attention"... However, "Paint The Town Red" might turn out to be the most deserving chart-topper of them all as it seems like it will actually become a big hit!
  23. Euro Top Chart - (as broadcast on MTV Europe) Here is the chart of August 26, 2023: 20 Doja Cat - Paint The Town Red NEW 19 Jain - Makeba Stay => 18 Harry Styles - Daylight 2 Up 17 Halle - Angel 1 Up 16 Zayn - Love Like This 15 Down 15 Kali - Area Codes Stay => 14 TXT & Jonas Brothers - Do It Like That 3 Down 13 Troye Sivan - Rush 4 Up 12 Fifty Fifty - Cupid 1 Up 11 The Weeknd & Madonna - Popular 1 Down 10 Peggy Gou - It Goes Like Nanana 4 Up 9 Travis Scott, Bad Bunny & The Weeknd - K-POP Stay => 8 David Kushner - Daylight Stay => 7 Dave & Central Cee - Sprinter Stay => 6 Nicki Minaj, Ice Spice & Aqua - Barbie World Stay => 5 Olivia Rodrigo - Vampire Stay => 4 Dua Lipa - Dance The Night Stay => 3 Jungkook - Seven Stay => 2 Billie Eilish - What Was I Made For? Stay => 1 Calvin Harris & Sam Smith - Desire 15 Up Last week's number 1 and number 16 exchange their positions - "Love Like This" by Zayn falls 15 places while "Desire" by Calvin Harris and Sam Smith climbs 15 places. This is the second collaboration of Calvin Harris and Sam Smith to become number 1 after "Promises" in 2018. As a matter of fact, both artists have already topped the chart this year. Calvin Harris did it with "Miracle" (with Ellie Goulding). When it comes to Sam Smith, they reached number 1 with "Gimme" (with Koffee).
  24. Euro Top Chart - (as broadcast on MTV Europe) Here is the chart of August 19, 2023: 20 Harry Styles - Daylight NEW 19 Jain - Makeba 2 Down 18 Halle - Angel NEW 17 Troye Sivan - Rush 4 Down 16 Calvin Harris & Sam Smith - Desire NEW 15 Kali - Area Codes 1 Down 14 Peggy Gou - It Goes Like Nanana 1 Up 13 Fifty Fifty - Cupid 2 Down 12 Stormzy & Raye - The Weekend Stay => 11 TXT & Jonas Brothers - Do It Like That 1 Down 10 The Weeknd & Madonna - Popular 1 Down 9 Travis Scott, Bad Bunny & The Weeknd - K-POP 1 Down 8 David Kushner - Daylight 1 Down 7 Dave & Central Cee - Sprinter 1 Down 6 Nicki Minaj, Ice Spice & Aqua - Barbie World 3 Down 5 Olivia Rodrigo - Vampire 1 Down 4 Dua Lipa - Dance The Night 1 Up 3 Jungkook - Seven 1 Down 2 Billie Eilish - What Was I Made For? 1 Down 1 Zayn - Love Like This 19 Up There are two songs titled "Daylight" simultaneously in the chart - by David Kushner at number 8; and by Harry Styles at number 20. Another (ex) member of One Direction occupied the number 20 spot last week. However, now Zayn is at the opposite end of the chart as "Love Like This" jumps 19 places! I think it's quite sad that Zayn scores his very first chart-topper in such an undeserving way... "Love Like This" hasn't been anywhere near as successful as his previous hits... yet until now Zayn always stopped at number 2! That was the peak position of three of his previous singles - both "Pillowtalk" and "I Don't Wanna Live Forever" (with Taylor Swift) spent two weeks at number 2 while "Dusk Till Dawn" (with Sia) did one step better as it spent THREE weeks at number 2... Thus Zayn becomes the FOURTH member of One Direction to reach number 1 in MTV Europe's European chart as a solo artist. Harry Styles did it with "Sign Of The Times", "As It Was", "Late Night Talking" and "Satellite"; Niall Horan - with "Slow Hands" and probably "Heaven" (during the chart of March 4, 2023 - MTV Europe repeated the previous week's chart but "Heaven" was at the top in the corresponding edition of the chart broadcast on MTV Hits); and Liam Payne - with "For You" (with Rita Ora). So only Louis Tomlinson is yet to reach number 1... (By the way, One Direction haven't been able to top the chart as a group...)

Until now, every single week during 2023 there was a new number 1! Now for the first time this year a song returns to the top - "What Was I Made For?" by Billie Eilish spends its second week there. We had to wait until the middle of August to see an edition of the chart where the number 1 is not there for the first time... This is actually a big accomplishment for Billie Eilish as all of her four previous chart-toppers - "Bad Guy", "Therefore I Am", "Your Power" and "NDA" - scored just one week at number 1. And there are THREE songs from one and the same soundtrack (for "Barbie") in the Top 5: "What Was I Made For?" at the top, "Barbie World" at number 3 and "Dance The Night" at number 5.
