If the commercial radio stations had got behind it as they did with Jealousy it would have probably made top 20. Without R2's support it would have had virtually no airplay at all. Although James Morrison's had full support from all radio stations including Capital and R1 plus the added bonus of Jessie J featuring on it and still didn't manage top 40 (or did he just scrape in :unsure: ) so you never can tell I suppose. Very pleased at how Echoes has performed...platinum+ sales and only once outside the top 30. Not bad for his 5th studio album :)

It's being sold for £4.99 on itunes and £8 on Amazon atm so that should help it :) Can you say who's at #26? #25 is excellent though :dance:

Where can you see the nasty tweets Munchkin?...I can't see any. Twitter is a bit odd for me atm though. Maybe I'm imagining it but I feel sure I read that interview or something very similar a few years ago :unsure:

Don't have anything to be defensive about :unsure: you're definition of "a lot" is obviously quite different to mine and just to set the record straight the SCD results show has several million less viewers than X Factor's Saturday show and always has far less of an impact on record sales than X Factor.

That was nearly 2 weeks ago. Can you give any more examples of "a lot of promo"..no? thought not. He's doing well because it's a bloody good album and word is spreading :)

Oh I think he's doing ok with 7 new releases in front of him but still managing to climb a place since Sunday :) Unlike X Factor, SCD isn't reknown for boosting record sales to any great degree.

Great to see Echoes holding steady even with all those new releases in front of it :cheer:

As you can see I've been a member of the site for over 5 years and visit most days even when Will is off the music scene. Don't post much but I find the charts fascinating and love to read other posters take on current music. Think I'll go back to lurking :(

Why should I be happy for him...I'm not a fan and I don't know him :wacko: I said I preferred Will to be in a lower position with a fantastic album of mostly self penned material than in a higher position with an album of done to death covers. Maybe Joe's fans should concentrate on Joe's success and stop comparing his chart position with other artistes.

I didn't say that though did I. I meant I am happy with Will's position for an album of largely unknown tracks :mellow: Why you have to mention any other artiste is beyond me...just be happy Joe is doing well.. as I am that Will is doing equally as well :)
