  1. I don't agree at all with what these posts are saying. I love 4 minutes and most of the album. the only weak songs are incredible and voices...that's it. I think she worked well with Timberland and Pharrel, no wonder why 4 mins was her biggest hit in the US since Vogue! In the UK it spent 4 weeks at no:1, again biggest since True blue era. I think the reason why the album Hard Candy didn't do so well was due to a lack of promotion she did. I still think 3.5million albums sold is better than most this year, I think it beats coldplay and mariah's album sales. Madonna worked her arse off for confessions in 2005 with promoting it EVERYWHERE, with Hardy Candy she only did the mini promo tour and radio appearances...that's it. Confessions had Parkinson interview, interview show with Dermot on CH4, Children in need, bloody promo work in Japan, France, u name it, everywhere! I reckon the idea of having the song out on downloads first, before a physical release is also a big issue, although it did wonders for 4 mins, it cost give it to me a chance to be no:1 because everyone had already bought the album and the song was made available to download like 7 weeks in advance. If you add the sales of give it to me to the week it was out on physical, it would be no:1. Miles Away lost out because its her first single not to have a video (again lack of promotion). The tour didn't help because it was technically doomed from day one (do arena tours love....not stadiums). Oh, her world tour did sell out so don't know why you think the setlist should only have the classics, a good mixture is the best from my point of view. I've been to the last 3 world tours and have to say that sticky and sweet tour is my least favourite Madonna tour, however, its better than any other tour this year. This is just my point of view and I truly believe that Madonna never disappoints, the only thing I disliked this year was the lack of promotion (add in the appaling artwork for HC).

I'm sorry but who buys this c**p? If you really like the song and the song is fantastic, just download the original version and make it number one. The original one is fantastic and totally deserves the Xmas no:1 spot. I'd rather have Leona Lewis go back to number one and spend an 8th week at the top.
  3. X factor is so c**p and I am shocked this looser won. The guy with the white hair should have won. Can't believe Kylie lowered herself to sing with this looser.
  4. I agree with you on everything. I think GA will do well because they promoted it so well and the song is fantastic (shame they didn't co-write it).
  5. No way it would have done well. All Saints promoted it so much but failed with the album (and I really like that album). I did say a lot of people dislike the song and but I like it alot.

omg i love Kylie and her album. I pre-ordered it on a web site called bang cd and they said there sales don't count in the charts. I wonder how many people ordered it from there (or cd wow). I would love it to be number one but I doubt it esp cos the single wasn't well received. If only she released 'The One' or 'Like a Drug' it would have helped the album. I'll say around 55-75k
  7. Totally shocked and disgusted with the sales. I wish they didn't release the album first and also I wish they didn't release the song 2 weeks before (if only they released it with downloads last week, it would have sold 28k and enter no: 3). . There are no excuses but you have to believe that lack of promotion played a major role. Yes they were hyped but they didn't do any promotion apart from CIN. They didn't come on Friday night with Jonathon Ross, National Lottery, X factor/Strictly come dancing or even Paul o Grady. Think about it, most artists that are doing well such as Westlife/Girls Aloud/Take That promoted so much and even when you look at their last single in 2000, they performed on CD;UK, TOTP, National Lottery and did several interviews. PLUS, it was a double A-side with 2 singles, 2 videos and it came out 2 weeks before the album (full of new material). The song went to number one because they promoted it, and the album forever didn't cos they didn't even promote it. I remember Westlife (Pestlife as I call em) nearly killed themselves with every single day's worth of signings and going to every city via helicopters etc. You have to work hard and promote the record; you can't expect the song to do well without it. Plus people don't like the song and the video (saying how inappropriate their dress code is due to CIN) Like I said, there shouldn't be any excuses but just read what I wrote....I could be wrong.
  8. I like their music but after their first album I kinda lost interest, what happened to no gud advice, life got cold etc, those were such gud songs. I do like the new song....very nice.
  9. ur comparing robbie to girls aloud  Robbie has loyal fans and not only that he sells like 2 million copies for each of his albums so he is blatantly gonna sell his greatest hits, regardless. I rekon if robbie sold like 20million copies, I'm sure no one would buy his greatest hits. Again comparing the two is a joke and I'm no Robbie fan.
  10. omg I didn't know they were dat cr*p, I mean they can't even sell a million copies. They only reason Sound of girls aloud sold was because no one bought their other albums so everyone who liked their singles bought their greatest hits. I only have their first album which was really good, I wish they wrote their own songs. I reckon after this album, they are splitting up but I could be wrong, maybe one more.
  11. Yes I am. one from tesco, one from HMV and will download from Itunes and maybe woolies. Just remember if it wasn't for Spice Girls there wud be no Girls Aloud (I'm sure they wud tell you the same thing).
  12. Spice girls Headlines Spice Girls Headlines download Spice Girls Headlines download....again and again
  13. I knew her album wud be cr*p but whats the point, every single person is buying it. I wish Spice girls go number one because at least they have classic songs in their Greatest Hits+ 2 new tracks and before you say everyone has them already or has heard them, I'm not telling you to buy it. I'm telling you to not buy Spirit cos you'll be wasting your money. Just go to hmv and have a listen cos you'll only like bleeding love.
  14. Fantastic, totally agree with you. One more thing, did Leona write 'bleeding love' herself or did she tell someone else to write and sing it for her anfd then she just copied it (most reality show stars do that)? If she did then she shouldn't even be mentioned in the same league as Arctic monkeys (btw I'm no fan of them but I respect them)
  15. I am a real fan so I would buy it anyway but I also really like Headlines and love Voodoo, again both are not as gr8 as the old Spice Classics bt they are waaayyyy better than most pop songs out there. The Spice tour is Sold out but I want them to be number one in the charts because that is where they belong and if their new songs weren't good then I would agree with you but the new songs R gud.
  16. Forget Leona, She will have her time in the future, Spice Girls deserve to get a nice send off, a nice goodbye. They came back for the fans and the only reason they have a single is for us. None of them were too keen to have a single but they rushed and wrote a pretty good song, nt g8 as the their past classics, but a good effort. I am DEFINITELY gonna buy the Spice Girls Greatest hits, plus I heard Leona's album is cr*p, only the current single is her best from the entire album. P.S. whoever thinks voodoo is cr*p has NO taste, it is better than headlines and far better than any dancy pop singles that are out there. Spice Girls NUMBER 1 :cheer: fingers xx

that just you and your opinion. I would buy the song anyway so I'm sure most people would wanna get a bonus out of their donation, nothing wrong wiv that.
  18. I dunno wot is going on but the Spice Girls song is not available anywhere, only HMV. What is going on?
  19. well the spice girls single Headlines is not available anywhere apart from HMV. I wanna download it but I wanna see if they are doing well before I do. If they are aren't then I will buy the download next week.

oh god noooooooo, I want The Spice Girls to go in at number one on downloads but Leona is stilling selling so many copies. I'm happy for her to get a number one but now the cow is taking over and it's not fair. No one buy her single now (lol) donwload The Spice Girls 'Headlines' single tomorrow (Nov 5th). It's for a good cause, Children in Need.

omg who in de hell is comparing Mcfly to legends like Aerosmith or AC/DC? I'm just sayin Mcfly are better than sum other pop groups and atleast have some credibility. Now, if you don't like their music that is your choice and I, myself, also don't prefer their music, just don't think they're c**p.
  22. Born a Diva posted a post in a topic in UK Charts
I am not a Mcfly fan nor do I listen to their songs but even I have to say that unlike Sh*tlife (cover after cover after cover), Mcfly write their own songs, play their own instruments and sing live. They R Gud.

It's ironic how she has gotten the most publicity for her solo single because of the reunion (she has plugged her song in all the major radio and tv shows), however had the worst performance for a single ever. The album version of the song is much better. I think she should have released 'may your heart' but that would have flopped too. It's a shame because people see her as a spice girl and think its not 'cool' to buy her songs even if they are excellent. I guess fans are still hyped up about the spice girls and not any solo material.

Omg Jlo's album is soooooo gud, maybe her best yet. I guess she has to put on a BRAVE face and move one. :(
