Born a Diva

omg, I think I'm gonna cry, lol. Why aren't spice fans buying it? 17 sold out london dates and 2 in manchester and that is like over 300,000 fans and not even half of the hardcore fans are buying it. Spice Girls should at least sell 150,000 in the first week. Does anyone know how much Take that's Beautiful world album in it's first week? Also, Does anyone know how much Take That latest greatest hits sold in it's first week (I fink it was in 2005). Spice girls HAVE to do more promotion because fans aren't buying it. Fans already have all the songs and they don't care about the new songs, such a shame. Just pray they don't loose their numba 2 spot to Pestlife, Cu*Tlife, Sh*tlife. It's like the album Forever all over again...

I just bought my Spice Girls Greatest Hits CD+DVD from Virgin megastores. I just wanted to know if anyone else knows their total sales so far. I know they sold about 23-29k on its first day but what about the rest of the week? I got mine on Wednesday before 9pm so will that count in Thursday's update? It is great watching the videos on the dvd but I wsih they had the new video fro 'Headlines' and also a new interview or sumfin. Can't wait to buy my first single in over 5 years on Monday 19th (Spice girls Headlines of course). The last single I bought was Slow by Kylie or Louise's pandoras kiss.

nah I can't wait that long, plus I'm going to the tour on the opening night (15 th Dec) so I wanna listen to it. Thanx for your input!

Good point but I have all the songs and the new single (bought the download). As for the other new track Voodoo, I can listen to that on youtube so as a fan I'd rather wait and buy it when it will really count in the charts and I really wanted Spice girls to be number one. Btw I'm 24 and maybe it's to do with age cos I really used to care about chart positions when I was a lot younger but this is about nostalgia so I wanna see my favorite group of all time be number one...again.

Agree with you 100%. Spice Girls are legendary and the fact that the tour worldwide sold out in minutes is a true testament to their longevity. I just hope they go number one in the US this week. For me the single is far more important and HAS to be number one but the GH isn't as important. I haven't bought my Spice Girls Greatest Hits yet cos I've been so busy. Now looking at the poor sales should I wait and buy it next Monday so we have a better chance of being number one or shall I buy it now? We all know sadly, Leona will be number one and the most Spice Girls will sell is probably 120-150k this week. Maybe I should wait and buy it next week cos it mite sell another 100k and maybe have a better chance of beating Leona.

I knew her album wud be cr*p but whats the point, every single person is buying it. I wish Spice girls go number one because at least they have classic songs in their Greatest Hits+ 2 new tracks and before you say everyone has them already or has heard them, I'm not telling you to buy it. I'm telling you to not buy Spirit cos you'll be wasting your money. Just go to hmv and have a listen cos you'll only like bleeding love.

Fantastic, totally agree with you. One more thing, did Leona write 'bleeding love' herself or did she tell someone else to write and sing it for her anfd then she just copied it (most reality show stars do that)? If she did then she shouldn't even be mentioned in the same league as Arctic monkeys (btw I'm no fan of them but I respect them)

I am a real fan so I would buy it anyway but I also really like Headlines and love Voodoo, again both are not as gr8 as the old Spice Classics bt they are waaayyyy better than most pop songs out there. The Spice tour is Sold out but I want them to be number one in the charts because that is where they belong and if their new songs weren't good then I would agree with you but the new songs R gud.

Forget Leona, She will have her time in the future, Spice Girls deserve to get a nice send off, a nice goodbye. They came back for the fans and the only reason they have a single is for us. None of them were too keen to have a single but they rushed and wrote a pretty good song, nt g8 as the their past classics, but a good effort. I am DEFINITELY gonna buy the Spice Girls Greatest hits, plus I heard Leona's album is cr*p, only the current single is her best from the entire album. P.S. whoever thinks voodoo is cr*p has NO taste, it is better than headlines and far better than any dancy pop singles that are out there. Spice Girls NUMBER 1 :cheer: fingers xx

that just you and your opinion. I would buy the song anyway so I'm sure most people would wanna get a bonus out of their donation, nothing wrong wiv that.

I dunno wot is going on but the Spice Girls song is not available anywhere, only HMV. What is going on?

well the spice girls single Headlines is not available anywhere apart from HMV. I wanna download it but I wanna see if they are doing well before I do. If they are aren't then I will buy the download next week.

oh god noooooooo, I want The Spice Girls to go in at number one on downloads but Leona is stilling selling so many copies. I'm happy for her to get a number one but now the cow is taking over and it's not fair. No one buy her single now (lol) donwload The Spice Girls 'Headlines' single tomorrow (Nov 5th). It's for a good cause, Children in Need.

No, its not absolutely horrible, that is so harsh. It's their least ballad but still very good. If you like pop music and you loved their old stuff then you should like it and especially if you watch the video. I really like the song but it's my least favourite ballad from the girls. I still think it deserves number one and now I even think it deserves Xmas no:1 (cos of the video). Every1 buy it, its for a good cause (Children in Need).

omg who in de hell is comparing Mcfly to legends like Aerosmith or AC/DC? I'm just sayin Mcfly are better than sum other pop groups and atleast have some credibility. Now, if you don't like their music that is your choice and I, myself, also don't prefer their music, just don't think they're c**p.

I am not a Mcfly fan nor do I listen to their songs but even I have to say that unlike Sh*tlife (cover after cover after cover), Mcfly write their own songs, play their own instruments and sing live. They R Gud.

It's ironic how she has gotten the most publicity for her solo single because of the reunion (she has plugged her song in all the major radio and tv shows), however had the worst performance for a single ever. The album version of the song is much better. I think she should have released 'may your heart' but that would have flopped too. It's a shame because people see her as a spice girl and think its not 'cool' to buy her songs even if they are excellent. I guess fans are still hyped up about the spice girls and not any solo material.

Omg Jlo's album is soooooo gud, maybe her best yet. I guess she has to put on a BRAVE face and move one. :(

Madonna 12th studio album Connextion (rumour title) out Monday 10th March 2008

Oh no, the cows album comes out on Nov 12th same day as the Spice Girls Greatest Hits album. The cow will beat my girls, NOOOOOOOOOO. Spice girls mite aswell compete with Sh*tlife, they have a better chance of being number one and beating Sh*tlife.

I think that chart is wrong plus wikipedia isn't reliable. Spice Girls Spice sold like 300-400k in its first week so where is that on the chart? I hope Leona doesn't release her album on Nov 19th cos Spice girls greatest hits is out. She will sell over 250k for definite.

Poor girl deserves number one for both single and album. The album mite just be her best (I've heard it and it is that damn gud) She deserves to sell well over 200,000 but she will only manage under 50,000. Gudluck Brits!

LOL, btw the day westlife retire I will throw the biggest party ever. I will pay for everything and you all are invited. I'll even toast sh*itlife....i mean... yea Sh*tlife into their retirement

Well I hope Take that do go to number one because their comeback as been wicked. Their new song is really good but I also like Leona's song. However, Britneys song is TOO GUD. It Has to be number one but it won't. I hope Spice Girls get to number wen its out on Nov 5th.

No I'm just a fan but I'm proud of them because they are a true British pop phenomenon and we have less of that (or any of that). Btw, I've heard they are gonna perform 31 songs and the show is 2 hours and 30 mins! I can't remember any artist or group that is so good to give fans a 150 minute show, average is 90 minutes (don't even say the prices are high so they should cos people like Madonna charge 160 quid and only do a 120 minute show). P.S. I do love Madonna and went to her last two tours.
