what do you mean some how? do you mean it's shocking for the comeback single of a massive band who have had more than one top 10 hit in this country and loads of top 20 hits to hit the top 20 of their first single in 8 years? not really surprising at all whatever the quality of the single is.

Mark keeps doing google+ hangout with fans cos he is awesome like that (i ALMOST got into one once but didn't :( ) but anyway last night he said: The September 27th album release date is tentative and may change. Up All Night video in the next few weeks. David Choe did not do the artwork for the album cover. Ghost on the Dancefloor might not be out before the tour. (Ghost on the Dancefloor being the other song they were planning to release before tour, let's hope they do release it in time). also Up All Night is now on out on intunes and amazon. after like 50 listens now (not even joking), i'm really starting to dig it. i think i was concerntrating on it too hard when i was first listening to it because it had been so long and that stunted my enjoyment of it.

Now it's sunk in more. I like it. but it seems very rushed, for something they have supposedly perfected over two years they have taken some strange decisions with this track, it just seems rushed really, not spaced out right (theres a bit where the verse hasn't really finished but the pre-chorus starts). I really like the lyrics. and the verses style, the whole Mark and Tom trading lines parts, I just love them having joint vocals. now and again though Tom's voice does make me cringe a little. The outro seems out of place a bit, it's like the song finished and then all of a sudden theres a random 20 seconds. i like that bit and all but it's just not in place in the song, which brings me back to a 'it seems rushed' point. I can't say i'm a big fan of the intro either, before the guitar starts, i'm not against them using synths i just think it sounds a bit $h!t, like the Not Now intro on synths is a great build up, but this intro doesn't do it as good. No where near as good as their last lead single (Feeling This), i just really hope there is better on the album.

it's on blink182.com right now. i'm really undecided. i need to listen to it not through these $h!t headphones. it seems to me the mixing isn't great, but that might be my headphones as everything sounds $h!t through them. there is one line (at about 1:08 he says something like 'Every Year') where Tom sounds like a Badger dying a slow painful death whilst at the same time being raped by a Rhino. I can live with Tom's vocals on most of the track though.
