As reported on Spin.com, the bassists for Blink 182 and Fall Out Boy have recorded a song for the upcoming Alice In Wonderland film.
The movie which is directed by Tim Burton and set for a March release, will feature the unique collaboration by Mark Hoppus and Pete Wentz and is said it may not be their last creation. Wentz hinted that the duo may record a few more tracks for the movie's soundtrack if Hoppus isn't busy recording in the studio with the recently reunited Blink 182. As for the new track's sound, Wentz stated it's "nothing like Blink or Fall Out Boy".
"Mark understands songwriting on a completely different level," he said in an email to MTV. "It's awesome to have a chance to sit in a room with him and watch him work out a melody."
Although they have been busy with the collaboration, Wentz noted that him and Hoppus haven't formed a new project or supergroup.
"It's just for fun," he said. "It's not a band or even a project at this state. I think between me getting Starbuck's on TMZ and him gearing up for a summer of Blink, we have a lot on our hands."

I quite like Damien Rice and Saul Williams, but never enough to get either of their albums, I imagine I'd like Saul's more though. Really like 'The Libertines' (underrated probably, it's not great but it's not as bad as I often see people say) and 'With Love and Squalor'. Found Lightspeed Champion's allbum ok but not great...
You missed an oppotunity with Saul :o the album was free online when it was first out, infact you had the choice free download or $5 for higher quality files, Trent Reznor convinced him to do it ^_^ it was before Radiohead stole the idea and tried to be all innovative.
But yeah Saul is real talent, he is what we need in hip hop.

THIS MOVIE IS GOING TO BE SO GOOD.
LIKE SO, SO GOOD,
LIKE REALLY.
The Scott Pilgrim book's are easily some of the best graphic novels I have ever read, (and I have read A LOT), basically this film is gonna kick ass.
here are the characters explained:
http://8.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_ksoal0ZJQ01qz73sdo1_500.png
basically it is about this awesome guy called Scott Pilgrim (played in the movie by the fantastic Michael Cera), who is this jobless guy who lives with his gay roommate wallace (who consequently owns the majority of the stuff in their flat), Scott plays in a band called Sex Bob-Omb, he starts dreaming about this girl called Ramona, then it turns out Ramona is real, so he manages to start dating her but it turns out, uh-oh in order to date her he must first battle and defeat her 7 evil ex boyfriends, so the 6 books (5 out, number 6 is out this year :D) follow scott, and the various other goings on in his life while he battles all these evil exes,
it is possibly the most lovable comic book ever, dont slash it before you try it, i literally think this is the comic that is between the non-comics reader and the comics reader, this comic series is so easy to get into, it's so interesting, innovative and unique, there arent many comics like it.
But yeah, film, this year, i'm excited.

29. Deftones - White Pony (2000)
28. Sonic Boom Six - The Ruff Guide To Genre Terrorism (2006)
27. The Libertines - The Libertines (2004)
'White Pony' is an amazing album from Deftones, it is easily my favourite from them, I remember the first time I heard 'Back To School', I was blown away, just the shouting and distortedness of the track, it was amazing, and then of course 'Change (In The House of Flies)' and 'Digital Bath', and then the amazing guest vocals from Maynard James Keenan on 'Passenger'. 'The Ruff Guide To Genre Terrorism' is an outright amazing album, a mix of a load of genres, it is done perfectly, it sounds so punk yet it is hip hop but also ska, it is basically all my favourite genres thrown into one amazing album, a great mix of songs, it is a lot more unique and better than what most british bands come out with these days, this band is so underated, everyone should love them, they are f***ing good. 'The Libertines' was a brilliant follow up to 'Up The Bracket' it perhaps did not catch as much as the punkiness or raw sound but I love the album however, a lot of people dont seem to think much of it because of 'Up The Bracket' but I think it is an excellent album which really showed just how wonderful the chemistry was between Pete and Carl.

tbh for what this is, which is an amataur film, not made by professionals, just some guy who filmed it with a basic camera all in his house, i think it is brilliant, it isnt that suitable for the mass distribution it got.
The best thing about it was how the night scenes gradually got scarier, the happenings were getting worse, if it was done at a different pace it would of been that bad, if you just saw one bit, it wouldnt seem scary, like one part all that happened was a load of bangs, a door shut a few times, and a tv turned on, and it was scary as f***, but if it wasnt after all the past scenes, wouldnt of been anything near scary.
it was scary yes, but it isnt anywhere near scariest of all time like a lot of people/media have said.
the brilliant thing is how the director made simple things such as a door closing or a bang from downstairs so scary.

32. Lightspeed Champion - Falling Off The Lavender Bridge (2008)
31. Queens of the Stone Age - Rated R (2000)
30. We Are Scientists - With Love and Squalor (2005)
'Falling Under The Lavender Bridge' is such lovely, brilliantly written album by Dev Hynes, before this came out, I only knew him as some guy from Test Icicles (who were $h!t), so for him to come out with a truely amazing record was a surprise, and it really is brilliant. I just remember not taking my mate seriously when he said 'Galaxy For The Lost' was a really good song, then I heard it, and f***, that guitar was something really special, even better that it was played on an acoustic aswell, and then I got the album, and wow, 'Midnight Surprise' is now probaly one of my favourite songs ever. 'Rated R' is a great rock album, really showed the band had potenial, they managed to top it aswell, you cant beat a bit of 'Monsters In Your Parasol' or 'Lost Art of Keeping A Secret' or 'Feel Good Hit of the Summer' (NICOTINE, VALLIUM, VICODIN, MARIJUNA ECTASY AND ALCOHOL.... CCCCCCOCAINE), so basic, so raw, early QOTSA has a different sound to more recent QOTSA, but is still, so good. 'With Love and Squalor' is a brilliant album from W.A.S which I can listen to again and again and again, no track is weak even in the slightist, it was when I first saw them live that I got really into some songs, for example the brilliant 'Textbook' and also 'Inaction' and 'Lousy Reputation', my favourite songs off of the album.

This Addiction is the upcoming seventh studio album by the Chicago-based punk rock band Alkaline Trio, scheduled for release February 23, 2010 as the first release by their newly-formed record label Heart & Skull, a joint venture with Epitaph Records. Described as a return to the band's punk rock roots, it was recorded at Atlas Studios in their hometown of Chicago with Matt Allison, the same location and producer used for much of their early material. The album draws lyrical inspiration from the band members' personal lives, addressing themes such as love, addiction, death, divorce, grief, suicide, politics, and war.

OK I saw Alien yesterday and it is pretty awesome. Dunno if it's better than Avatar though. Will watch Aliens tonight. (Bought the box set - £17 in HMV!!)
yeah Alien is great, and Weaver is brilliant in it,
Aliens is a good one to look at though, as it's directed by Cameron (I perfer Alien though, directed by Ridley Scott, who imo is much better than James Cameron).
