10| Rage Against The Machine - Renegades
http://i27.tinypic.com/2119myw.jpg
Favourite Tracks :: I'm Housin', How I Could Just Kill A Man, Pistol Grip Pump, Renegades of Funk, Maggie's Farm, The Ghost of Tom Joad
One of my all-time favourite artists now with their last album. Released after Zack De La Rocha had left the band but still using his vocals, it is a covers album. That puts it lightly, it is the single greatest collection of covers ever, if you didn't know the original songs you wouldn't know they were covers because Rage make every song their own. Their unique style shines through in the record producing some truly astonishing moments, it may not be their best album but that just shows the quality of the band. Absolutely fecking awesome. Live=as good, maybe better with these guys so here is " I'm housin' " live.
this has made my list ;o
which im currently trying to compile, so many good albums. might not be as high. There isnt a Rage track I dont live. I wouldnt say live=as good i'd say live=EVE f***ING BETTER. I'm well loving their version of Maggies Farm atm, I used to not be that keen.

Nobody Loves Me and Neither Do I, Dead End Friends, Elephants, Scumbag Blues, Warsaw, Gunman, Spinning In Daffodils are all so addictive, musical perfection.
When that heavier riff comes in on NLMANDI it is just so powerful, one of the most powerful change of direction in any songs, even Josh cant handle it, he has to go 'OOOF'

12| Reuben - Racecar Is Racecar Backwards
http://covers.mp3panda.com:8080/covers/13/13754/alb_155252_big.jpg
Favourite Tracks :: Stuck In My Throat, Our Song, Let's Stop Hanging Out, Missing Fingers
Daaaaamn. Mmmm Hmmm. It's motherfudging Reuben with their best album, 16 songs of pure awesomeness packed into one record. 'Stuck In My Throat' is my favourite song by them, see it below. This album has been a favourite of mine for a long time, I love the title and artwork aswell, the whole package is amazing and Jamie Lenman is a genius. Watch the fudging video guyz.
great album. i love the cover as well.
11| Radiohead - In Rainbowshttp://futpopclube.files.wordpress.com/2009/03/200px-in_rainbows_official_cover.jpg
Favourite Tracks :: Jigsaw Falling Into Place, Bodysnatchers, Faust Arp, Videotape, Last Flowers
Radiohead returned to their best with this album after the somewhat disappointing Hail To The Thief. It really is a stunning record and I was obsessed with it for a while, I purchased the deluxe edition and the second disc was also amazing and included the brillaint 'Last Flowers'. It is another of those albums with a feel to it that I can't put my finger on. They range from their most tender yet, to full on rocking out and succeed at both ends of the spectrum. 'Videotape' live, stunning
YAWN. over rated.

019 The Horrors 'Who Can Say'
After the 8 minute masterpiece 'Sea Within A Sea' album 'Primary Colours' was always going to be top of my 'To download' list. I wasn't really expecting it to be of the same quality and same sound, but surprisingly it was. The instant standout from the album was this, 'Who Can Say', and I was delighted that this were to be the second single. After I'd been charting this for a few weeks and it had started to fall again I thought to myself "I might regret this not being a number one". It didn't have a bad chart run, 9 weeks in the top 5 (05-03-02-02-03-03-04-04-05) is pretty exceptional. But its kept growing on me throughout the year and I certainly do regret it now. It's something that I always pay close attention to the lyrics when listening. It's so wonderfully heartfelt, nothing more so than the lyrical sample from Jay & The American's 1962 single 'She Cried'.
And when I told her I didn't love her anymore
She cried
And when I told her her kisses were not like before
She cried
And when I told her another girl had caught my eye
She cried
And then I kissed her with a kiss
That could only mean goodbye

amazing track, amazing album, so many good songs on it.

023 The Libertines 'Don't Look Back Into The Sun'
One of the decades defining anthems. Commercially the Libertines weren't a massive success but they opened the door and paved the way for others, leaving a massive impact and legacy in a short space of time. This has always been my favourite song of theirs. I never hear this get a bad reaction wherever its played.
impossible not to love.

18| Deftones - Saturday Night Wrist
http://www.cinemablend.com/images/sections/1471/1471.jpg
Favourite Tracks :: Hole In The Earth, Rats! Rats! Rats!, Rapture, Cherry Waves
I've always liked Deftones a fair amount, this album would have appeared a little bit lower on the countdown, but I had not listened to them as much as other bands I liked for whatever reason. Recently however they have really clicked with me and gone up to a whole new level in my opinions. Saturday Night Wrist their most recent album, before Chi Cheng's car accident that led to him being comatosed, and is a fantastic record with only one weakness which is 'Pink Cellphone'. This does nothing to detract form the album though in my opinion as the rest is Deftones at their best. The amazing 'Hole In The Earth' below for your viewing pleasure, my favourite track.
great album.

So after having a fantastic time seeing Ash, i am now seeing these guys on the 21st.
Tbhz. £8.50 for the gig...and then clubbing is amazing in my eyes. :D
Can't wait. :)
lol you only been to one gig?
£8.50 for The Automatic? that's quite good tbh shame about where all the shows are though, it would cost me quite a bit more to get to any.

I think my speakers are about to break from the awesomeness.
I'm on the 5th listen.
Conclusion: Best Rock Album fir a f***ing long time, these are 3 AMAZING musicians, Grohl really proves himself when he is behind the drums, and just the power of some of these riffs, I am pretty sure Josh Homme may be a God.
Worth waiting for. I really regret not getting tickets for Hammersmith now.

24 | System Of A Down - Toxicity
http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/5015342.JPG
Favourite Tracks :: Prison Song, Chop Suey!, Toxicity, Needles
System Of A Down's defining work now and a soundtrack to my youth, the sheer pace of this record, perfectly held together by Serj's characteristic vocals is a marvel. I've loved this record for years and go through little spells of listening to it fairly often even now, their later double-album thing had some gems but nothing that could come anywhere near this.
23 | Manchester Orchestra - I'm Like A Virgin Losing A Child
http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/88697126482.JPG
Favourite Tracks :: Wolves At Night, Now That You're Home, Alice and Interiors, Colly Strings
I discovered this in late 2006 and it's one of the best discoveries I've made, I was obsessed with this album for a long time and I still hold it in very high regard as you can see. The album flows from quiet odes to barnstorming tracks, while not reaching the ferocity of their second effort it never felt like it needed to go that far. They have been supporting many people including Brand New and more recently Biffy Clyro so I'm hoping they get bigger.
22 | Yourcodenameis:milo - Ignoto
http://images.musicnet.com/albums/005/377/257/c.jpeg
Favourite Tracks :: I Am Connecting Flight, 17, Titan Grip, Rapt. Dept.
Amazing album from an amazing band, 'I Am Connecting Flight' is a fantastic opener and probably my favourite thing they've ever done and that continues with the next three tracks which are all brilliant, I think the first half is stronger than the second but there really are no weak tracks. A must-listen for any fans of this genre, I am still sad they are no more.
ah Toxicity
Never actually listened to Manchester Ochestra despite the amount of times ive seen them reccomened and mentioned and hyped, they are probaly one of my favourite bands and I dont even know it
Knew Ignoto was coming, listened to it the other day aswell, It is the album that got me into ycni:m (I knew A song before this album but didnt get really into them i just vaguely knew they had a song i liked a bit, then 17 and Rapt Dept changed it all for me. great band, so underated.

035 Blink-182 'Adam's Song' (#1 of 2000)
I've never really liked Blink-182, and still to this day don't really know what possessed me to think it was a good idea to buy their best of. But I did make one excellent discovery from it; this. Released and totally ignored after smash hit 'What's My Age Again?' it wasn't a surprise I'd never heard it before. It's a far more serious affair than its predecessor and most of its parent album, referencing Nirvana and taking in topics such as depression and suicide. There are many theories as to how this song came about, but I guess only three people really know the truth.... Either way, it's stunning.
Amazing song  I'm a massive Blink fan anyway but mostly their serious songs are better, although I can be a sucker for their silly ones.
There might be a few tracks you know or dont know of theirs you might like,
have you heard 'All of This' (featuring Robert Smith of The Cure, its my fav track by them), 'Stay Together For The Kids', 'Im Lost Without You'
and dont forget about the blink-182 forum we have here guys.

after the first full listen...
WOW f***ING WOW
this may well make the top of my best albums of the DECADE, everything about it is soooooo good, I can listen just sit and listen to it, without doing other stuff, it's soooo gooood. no track is under 8/10, in fact;
1. "No One Loves Me & Neither Do I" 5:10 10/10
2. "Mind Eraser, No Chaser" 4:07 9/10
3. "New Fang" 3:49 10/10
4. "Dead End Friends" 3:15 10/10
5. "Elephants" 6:50 10/10
6. "Scumbag Blues" 4:26 10/10
7. "Bandoliers" 5:42 8.5/10
8. "Reptiles" 4:16 8/10
9. "Interlude with Ludes" 3:45 8/10
10. "Warsaw or the First Breath You Take After You Give Up" 7:50 10/10
11. "Caligulove" 4:55 8/10
12. "Gunman" 4:45 9/10
13. "Spinning in Daffodils" 7:28 9/10
It's mental when the worser songs on an album are still 8/10 SUCH A GOOD ALBUM, this will probaly be the only album i listen to for the enxt month, (although not much listening time dedicated now I have MODER WARFARE 2 in my hands).
Some of the guitar riffs are genius on this album, in fact better than any guitar riff I have heard not recorded in the 60's, Josh's vocals fit in so perfectly, Daves drumming proves that he works better behind the drums, and just some of the musical ideas they have used are amazing, it makes me want to start guitar again.
As someone said on the forum, 'During Elephants a bit of spunk came out...' and then a few minutes later... 'I thought it wouldnt be possible for more spunk to come out, but I was wrong (Scumbag Blues)'
If there is any music coming near to an orgasam is this.
Everyone should BUY this album.
Them Crooked Vultures - "Them Crooked Vultures" (2009) 10/10
more of me bumming it inbetween mw2 sessions.

35 | Metric - Live It Out
http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/DIS0020.JPG
Favourite Tracks :: Poster Of A Girl, Live It Out, Monster Hospital
I didn't appreciate this album as much as I do now for a long time, I used to think it was by far their weakest but it now stands up to their other work and is better than GU&BA for me. It has some great tracks and I'm surprised Monster Hospital didn't make the band that much bigger, as Fantasies has now done. Emily Haines can do no wrong.
34 | Bloc Party - Intimacy
http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/WEBB185CDLI.JPG
Favourite Tracks :: Ion Square, Ares, Talons, Your Visits Are Getting Shorter
Bloc Party's much discussed third album now then, miles better than the 2nd in my opinion and a truly great piece of work. Their new direction may have lost them some fans but I am enjoying it and I hope I get to see another album by them. Ion Square is a 6 minute long masterpiece, love it.
33 | Reuben - In Nothing We Trust
http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n99/ashford57/innothingwetrust.jpg
Favourite Tracks :: Good Luck, An Act Of Kindness, Agony/Agatha, Blood Bunny Larkhall
I f***ing love Reuben, they make me wanna f***ing swear, their second album wasn't that great but this third and final album by the three-piece made up for that as it is awesome. The best track on it surprisingly is the more low-key, acoustic 'Good Luck' which is sublime. Packed with great sing-alongs and just pure kickassism it truly deserves it's place this high.
Metric; well loved Monster Hopsital, but found the album a bit meh, but tbh fair havent heard in so long my taste of music has changed.
Intimacy; great album, but like my least fav BP album, but i still love it, im a BP nut though.
Reuben, Great album, Great band, Great Great.
