The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
I watched the Swedish version of this last night, and it's so well done I really see no point in a remake, I suppose it doesnt appeal to mass audiences (the amount of people who wont watch a subtitled film is horrifying) but it's near enough a flawless film, and it's not like it doesnt look the part either, so doesnt really need Hollywood. BUT I love David Fincher, and everything about this remake seems to be good, but in the end were just going to have two versions of the same film, in probaly not too different styles. but anything that has Trent Reznor scoring it has to be good. i'll definitaly see it, and probaly think it's brilliant, but it's still unessacary. and also no way can Rooney Mara pull of Salander, or at least no where near as good as Noomi Rapace is.

yes but killing yourself to evade being arrested is a bit extreme. killings oneself takes alot of thought, if he was suicidal he would have already killed himself.

Leeds/Reading: 2011
yeah i can see alot of times when your trying to get to and from a stage between bands that there will be a lot of crushing. like i remember a few years ago lethal bizzle had just been on NME, and frank turner was next, so you have loads of people leaving after bizzle, and loads of people trying to get in for frank. it makes no sense. and when a few years ago there was Crystal Castles then Gaslight Anthem, and after CC the place just emptied and then filled up again for Gaslight, infact I had never seen such a lack of crowd as I had then, there was only like 2 rows of people. it just doesnt take too much thinking to not put certain bands in certain places.

Buzzjack Film Club - Join Up/Discussion thread
we had like a nice mighty 3 person response last month, which makes me think theres no point continuing this at all. but that is up for discussion. it's strange how the amount of interest to the amount of participants ratio is so little on the participation side. one idea i've had since most people seem most keen to discover films via this is that it could be made into a monthly film swap, i would pair everyone interested up randomly and they would reccomend a film to each other, and then they would have to do a review for it, and then if people who read the review think i wouldnt mind watching that, could watch it, and that could lead to more discussion on some of the films being picked etc. anyone else got any ideas? because otherwise i will just let this die a death as clearly no one is prepared to actually take part.

The Death of Smiley Culture
it's very clear he didn't kill yourself, but i'm still confused at exactly what went on, as much as one dislikes the police, i can't see them going to his flat and killing him and covering it up as a suicide. and again if he was to kill himself why did he do it while the police came round? and what sort of police would leave a suspect on his own to go and make tea, very random isnt it. definatly something fishy going on.
