    This is f***ing brilliant.
  2. so they played Reckless Abandon from the soundesk at the second london show then walked to the stage through the crowd. spontaneous as well, they didn't do that the first night they literally thought of it on the day. gutted I wasn't there. It's only been a few days since I saw them and I'm already really f***ing excited for this Saturday, would go to every night of this tour if I could.
  3. Yeah Feeling This was a wicked opener, it's one of those songs that is just perfect for getting everyone to go crazy, kind of a shame they don't open with Dumpweed anymore, i think I'm correct when I say they had been opening with Dumpweed until last year's US tour. Those chords at the start of Dumpweed are just so great, especially for the whole curtain falling thing they do to start the show. Feeling This was such a powerful opener last night though. I do like how the new songs were fed between old songs but that said I saw Tenacious D a few nights ago and they new songs for the first 25-30 minutes then did old songs for the rest of the set and I quite liked that.
  4. I'm kind of talking to myself here but HOLY f*** LAST NIGHT WAS AMAZING. better than Reading, one of the best gigs i've been to, Tom was on top form, Travis f***ing destroyed the place, the setlist was awesome, on paper it doesn't look that great but it flowed brilliantly and was a good mix, the crowd was mega fun, some pretty mental pits for a blink show.
  5. yeah so this actually started last night and I'm going tonight. helllllllls yessssss.

    you've changed man.
  8. Saw this for the THIRD time yesterday. It was still insanely f***ing wicked, for a film I only saw within that week I didn't get bored once, it's just so f***ing good. Seriously I would marry Joss Whedon just based on how good he made this film.
  9. Yeah so this is now soon and they just added two extra much smaller dates at Brixton Academy and Manchester Apollo. Got tickets to the Brixton show! ahhhhhhhh. Going to three dates in total. So f***ing excited.
  10. Against Me! singer Tom Gabel reveals plans to begin living as a woman in the new issue of Rolling Stone. Gabel, who has dealt privately with gender dysphoria for years, will soon begin the process of transition, by taking hormones and undergoing electrolysis treatments. Gabel will eventually take the name Laura Jane Grace, and will remain married to her wife Heather. "For me, the most terrifying thing about this was how she would accept the news," says Gabel. "But she's been super-amazing and understanding." Gabel only told a handful of family and friends about her plan to transition before talking to Rolling Stone. Because this is the first time a major rock star has come out as transgender, the singer made a point of speaking openly about it. "I'm going to have embarrassing moments," says Gabel, "and that won't be fun. But that's part of what talking to you is about – is hoping people will understand, and hoping they'll be fairly kind." The full story of Gabel's transformation is in the latest issue, on newsstands this Friday (May 11th). In it, the singer tells Josh Eells about her history of gender dysphoria, the specifics of the transition process and what becoming Laura Jane Grace will mean for the future of Against Me! Read more: http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/tom...8#ixzz1uMlxv8tl very unexpected, but respect.

Been f***ing gutted about this since I heard last night. Spent a large amount of my life obsessed with the Beasties. Care far more about this than any other musical death since I've been a music fan.
  12. Personally I only think this works so well because of Joss Whedon so a Justice Leauge would need some equally as awesome at the helm but personally, don't think it would work, depends if they linked the current batman universe or not. also depends on who owns what characters, all the same studio would need to own the rights to all the characters etc.
  13. I like it, expecting it to grow on me though as it's currently not at the other 2 albums standard yet. It's more musically good and less funny you could say.
  14. I'm seeing lots of people saying they want to see it again, it certainly has that effect. I'm still thinking about it loads, i'll probably see it again in like a week or two then hold out for the blu ray. So glad how great this movie was and how great the response is. A win for comic book movies.
  15. This did £15 million last night in the UK alone. Once this opens in America it's going to make f*** loads. It's been over 25 hours since I saw it now and I'm still thinking about it, likely to see it again within the next week it was that good.
  16. thats a pretty good way to watch these films really, not knowing what to expect, but then for the geeks they have something to go crazy excited over. can't wait to see how the next films pan out to lead to Avengers 2. really really hope Whedon does Avengers 2 too. can't see myself not going to see this again in a few weeks. unless it happened to leak online. I want to watch it again right now and I was still in the cinema an hour ago.
  17. HOLY SHITBALLS. HOLY. SHIT. BALLS. that was immense. thank f*** they got Joss Whedon to do this. This is what all superhero films aim to be and normally utterly failed. Incredible rollercoaster that never dumbs down and never calms down has a great script (Stark was on top form), barely stops on the action. Brain overload if anything. I'm slightly geeking at the post-credits scene too but only hardcore marvel geeks will know who that was (not going to say anything more as don't want to spoil for others). BUT f***. Hope this makes them shitloads, I hate over the top hollywood blockbusters, but this was a whole different level.
  18. Didn't go to my local cos it's a bit shit, went to 101 Collectors Records in Farnham, which was mega nice, went in the middle of the day, got Flogging Molly, Frank Turner and Misfits. Would have liked Arctic Monkeys, but none were left. As much as I like my limited edition releases and such I see RSD as more supporting indie music shops than getting myself goodies so I'm not bothered too much about getting RSD releases but more to make sure I spend a bit to support the shop.

it's well worth picking up the boxset, think it goes fairly cheap these days, it's not too long to watch because you get hooked, theres still another series in pre-production too. especially worth watching if you enjoyed Veep, obviously it's early days yet but I can't see Veep quite matching the hilarity of the Thick of It script. The characters are just better, probably mainly due to Veep's characters just being loosely based on the Thick of It characters.

I barely noticed the word f*** which means I must watch some very different things to you. Have you not seen The Thick of It which this is the American version of, it takes swearing to a whole new level.

I watched this cause I love The Thick of It. not sure what I thought, maybe would have enjoyed it more if I was American maybe? IDK, I think it will grow on me but I'll never love it to the scale that I love The Thick of It. But to be fair hard to match, but In The Loop was great. Lacks a certain Mr Tucker basically.
  22. Antman is written by Edgar Wright so it will be amazing. I can't imagine a Captain Marvel film being too great, no where near popular enough either.
  23. oh alright then, 1. In The End 2. Faint 3. Points of Authority 4. H! Vltg3 5. One Step Closer 6. Papercut 7. Given Up 8. Breaking The Habit 9. The Catalyst 10. Don't Stay 11. Bleed It Out
  24. i imagine they'll include some more but probably still focus on the main ones. Thor, Iron Man and Captain America have always been the core avengers really and are the big names so they'll always have the spotlight. There is going to be a reboot of Fantastic Four but not by Marvel Studios so you'll see no connection to the Avengers as Fox still owe the rights, although the F4 are a seperate team so I doubt you'd see them in an Avengers film anyway. Marvel are still meant to be making an Antman film eventually so I wouldn't be surprised to see him in the next Avengers.
  25. i'm hearing alot of "best superhero movie ever", it's sounding like everything i've been dreaming of, films like this go oh so wrong sometime or just end up meh (cough, captain america). But it seems by getting a legend like Joss Whedon they've made something special. Something that is both mo-hassive OTT (i'm hearing the final fight is ballachingly mental) blockbuster but also an incredibly well made film at the same time. It will certainly a different style, but better superhero film than The Dark Knight could be possible? I'm so excitededed. might just marathon Iron Man, Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2, Thor, Captain America in preperation. infact might even watch incredible Hulk now as it's been a while. Marvel making their own film studio was the best idea ever.
