i feel it's better diversity wise to not have two tracks of the same artist.

JOHNNY CASH.
i'm pretty sure 'Walk The Line' is how i got into him, either that or his cover of 'Hurt', well I think I knew him but never really got into him until I saw the film, not a bad thing though, the film brought a whole new generation of fans. and it's a brilliant brilliant film. I think Hurt was recorded just after Rose died, and just before he died, the amount of emotion in that one recording is amazing, he really made the song his own. Anyone who can watch the video to 'Hurt' and not cry has no soul. infact Trent Reznor's response to it: "I pop the video in, and wow… Tears welling, silence, goose-bumps… Wow. [i felt like] I just lost my girlfriend, because that song isn't mine anymore… It really made me think about how powerful music is as a medium and art form. I wrote some words and music in my bedroom as a way of staying sane, about a bleak and desperate place I was in, totally isolated and alone. [somehow] that winds up reinterpreted by a music legend from a radically different era/genre and still retains sincerity and meaning — different, but every bit as pure."

JOHNNY CASH.
I completely fail to see how this is relevant to this topic.

Arctic Monkeys - 'Don't Sit Down...' // 'Suck It And See'
what? I perfer their original sound but, their original sound was much more commercial and easy to sell, 'Humbug' was in no way a sell out move.

Lupe Fiasco 'Lasers'
I'm refusing to listen to this. I'd perfer to wait for an album where he isnt forced by a major record label to make music he is unhappy to make. music should be from the soul, not from some corporate arse telling you what to make, especially when you are as talented as this guy.

the trailer doesnt do it justice that much, it's funny, well written, has meaning, and i just generally find it brilliant. probaly Kevin Smith's best.

JOHNNY CASH.
i'd say start with a best of, then go into Live at Folsom Prison, then The Man Comes Around. infact i'd go these releases in order: Ring of Fire: The Legend Of Johnny Cash Live at Folsom Prison Amercian IV: The Man Comes Around then i'd say if theres anything specific on The Legend of Johnny Cash you enjoyed, go on to find more music of that era. also for bonus, heres a few more fav Cash releases of mine: Ride This Train Walking The Line: The Legendary Sun Recordings Live at San Quentin and just cos i'm me, this is my favourite thing he has ever done and gives me tears Hurt (cover of Nine Inch Nails) o22eIJDtKho Johnny Cash

Attack The Block
FpOpMQYSPEk directed by Joe Cornish (of Adam and Joe fame). Basically, aliens attack a block of flats in South London and some chavs fight them off. looks brilliant.
