  1. I'm gonna go with they need another 'All My Life', that was a f***ing powerful and incredible song, infact to be fair their first singles are always pretty powerful and blow you away a bit. but 'this is a call' is where it's at.

this and this. to say my dad who downloads far more music illegally than buys these days, has more vinyl than can fit in his house, and has 800GB of music on his computer, so because now he 90% of the time downloads music, rather than buy it on vinyl, this makes him less of a music fan? like f*** does it. Not everyone can afford to buy everything physically, or the time to, i download a lot of stuff i wouldnt have brought and then ended up loving, if i brought everything i downloaded i would be a lot more poorer than I already am, and the fact i consume that amount of music could make me more of a music obsessive than one who buys three LP's a month. Obviously I perfer having things on vinyl but the fact is my collection these days is basically digital, and it gets added to every day, and bollocks if listening to hours and hours of music all day digitally makes me less of a music fan than someone who spends his time smelling a vinyl rather than listening to the music,

hmm, i'm thinking I should download this sooner than later.
  7. are we talking about within any time? if so that's a hard one, Lollapalooza 91, mainly for legendary NIN show (jealous of certain psoter in this topic who was there!) or when Johnny Cash played Folsom Prison or Reading 92 (Nirvana) or Rage Against the Machine outside the 2000 Democrat National Convention or Atari Teenage Riot May Day riots in Berlin in 1999.
  8. indeed only 7 people have watched it, where as there was 19 votes. that said i'm happy to continue doing it with as little as 7 people but it would be nice for those who said they would and those who voted to actually bother.

I very much like Colours, might check out the EP.
  10. i think end of feb/start of march is right, i'd love to have it recurring all the time, but the longer it is between each one the higher the quality is.

yeah they are making some sort of short film of them going to 50 places with rude names in one day and then the video will be on sale on itunes with the money going to red nose day.
  12. erm, Quake video game in 1996, The Social Network last year, and this = the score for everything? :s
  13. actually without the business end there would be much more creativity, major record labels (such as Sony and Universal) only sign and release very generic acts and music, stuff they know will sell big, because they don't sign acts on creativity, they sign them on the fact that they will make them money. I see A LOT more creativity and intresting music from acts who do pay for all their promo and gigs, but the majors are scared that said artists won't sale, the music industry has changed and the major record labels still don't understand this. fair enough more people will probaly buy it off itunes straight away where they would have just downloaded it illegally before, but it won't stop most people, all this means is the track will be on what.cd faster so i can download it for no money faster.

I watched this last night, I feel it might be getting a bit overrated, but fairly enjoyable, good performances etc. Would be nice to see more Westerns being made, very rare these days, so was nice to see a Western made in a modern style.
  15. grow up.
  16. Golden Globe winner Trent Reznor is doing the score for this <3
  17. I never claimed you claiming that. Stop being so unnessacarily augumentative.
  18. They have already had threads in the pop forum. i did a search and made my judgement that way, i have also heard them before and they sound pop to me. having guitars in your music does not automatically make you rock.
  19. http://tease.foofighters.com/ damn that sounds good.
  20. I believe this is one of the pop forum. moved.
  21. Now I will be able to steal good quality straight away rather than having to have bad radio rips :D (aka they still don't understand the internet and how to conquer piracy, i'm not saying it's a bad thing them releasing it straight away, infact i like the idea, it's just not going achieve what they are trying to achieve with it).

this. Someone said in this thread how downloading is for casual listeners, but I agree with Ben that they go hand in hand, for a start with downloading you can find rare stuff, and have basically everything you could want with a few clicks, obviously not as obsolete for vinyl, but i want to listen to as much as i can, can't afford to buy every single album i wouldnt mind listening to, downloading allows this to happen, helps me discover more and build a massive collection, and at times leads me to buying certain albums on vinyl.
