The Futureheads 'Rant' [5th album]
As a long time Futureheads devotee I am really loving the album, great for them to be doing something different, it's certainly a brave move. absolutely gutted I missed their London Union Chapel show, seemed pretty special.

The King Blues Split Up
Was bound to happen since Itch Fox is a massive fake arsehole sell out fool who f***ed over his own bandmates and various other people. The King Blues helped a lot of bands I'm friends with or a fan of but in the end they started out as something special but as soon as they signed that major label contract they have been DEAD to me. Hypocritical fools. Respect to Jamie Jazz though I hope he goes on to better things. Some light reading for anyone who has been fooled by the last two years of this bands existance: http://www.hitthefloor.co.uk/rock-metal/fr...the-king-blues/ http://scarletfoxx.tumblr.com/post/2028088...ols-the-fall-of

Cartoon Discussion Thread
I'm a massive cartoon fan, both vintage and 90's. Cow and Chicken has to be my favourite though, been rewatching a lot recently. (f***ing mental for a kids cartoon). i feel i should also mention as I type this I have SPACE JAM on.

Tenacious D - 'Rize of the Fenix'
guy from efestivals reckons after download they'll be added as a subheadliner. seems weird though because normally it would just be listed as 'special guests' when they have a situation like that.

Tenacious D - 'Rize of the Fenix'
that video is so f***ing brilliant. i've watched it like 3 times. "There was no more Kyle Gass, just Rage Kage, he got committed to a mental institution while Jack Black was commited to getting himself rich and famous". they're clearly doing this more for fun than to make money, it's great. Very excited to see their Brixton show.

The Hunger Games
CHILL OUT. out of interest have you seen The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo or The Muppets? Upon reflection now it's had a few days to settle in my mind, The Hunger Games is 7/10 at most.

The Hunger Games
 You must not see many films.

The Hunger Games
Just came back from seeing this, I had NO expectations, only knew a small bit about it before hand, not read the book. The film was alright but basically just a kids version of Battle Royale. The first half was way too long, I enjoyed the actual games but the lead up when their in the city was far too long, gave more than enough background, didn't really like the over the topness of the set and costume design although I guess they were making a statement with it. Basically, it was alright but it was no Battle Royale. And it's just made me want to watch Battle Royale again. Which isn't a bad thing because Battle Royale is awesome. pretty much if you're 13 or under what Hunger Games. Any older then just watch Battle Royale instead.

Prometheus
especially as John Carter just looks ridiculous and terrible, fine for kids though I guess. This however has everything a blockbuster should have, all the right names, this should have the hype that Avatar unrightly got a few years ago.
-
Yes, the BBC have actually written a "Queen Gets In Lift"
it's not even a slow news day.
-
Prometheus
the trailers for this are seriously amazing. and it's Ridley Scott. and the cast is great (Noomi Rapace!). and Damon Lindelof has a writing credit. anticipating this to be incredible.

Reading & Leeds 2012
I'm geeking out over The Cure and At The Drive-In but otherwise it's quite a weak line up, but it's not worse than any other festival this year, 2012 appears to be the year of shit festivals which shouldn't be the case when theres no Glasto other festivals should be shining. I spend most my time in lock Up anyway so I'll await that announcement until I say the line up is crap. At The Drive-In is worth my ticket though.

AT THE DRIVE-IN REUNITE!!!!!!!!
they've just confirmed for reading and leeds on twitter. LET'S f***ING DO THIS. basically, they have just sold a Reading ticket.

Man On A Ledge
personally, without seeing it, it looks like a terrible concept that is boring and it doesn't help with the fact the main star, Sam Worthington, is shit. They don't have much to inspire me to see it.
-
The Muppets
I went to see it while stoned in the cinema yesterday, and it was pretty incredible. can't tell if it's because I was proper high or not.

SPIDERMAN 4 CANCELLED, FRANCHISE REBOOTED
wouldn't say it looks shit, but wouldn't say it looks great. I'm warming a little bit to Andrew Garfield, I definitely think he suits spider-man's voice anyway. It's just a bit sad that this film only really exist so coloumbia can keep the film rights (which would have otherwise reverted back to Marvel next year), I think Marvel Studios making a Spider-man reboot would be much better and more faithful and especially if they gave it a few more years.
