The Futureheads have one as well, but it's brilliant.

Is Cable about to leave the Coalition?
no surprise BSkyB responsiblity has been moved to Hunt, they want to ensure it happens to keep Murdoch happy. I'm glad at least one member of the cabinet is'nt sucking up to Murdoch.

The Inbetweeners
yeah this isnt new news at all we just didnt have a thread on it as it was mostly being talked about in the series 3 thread. quite often films based on sitcoms are normally bad, but i love the inbetweeners so i dont know. more excited about the tv specials afterwards.

'Catfish'

Black Swan
i'm tempted to download and watch, it's probaly not my sort of film but I think I can appreciate the filmmaking of this, hearing lots of good things, and it's Aronofsky, looks like some of the drama of it is perfectly created and acted. i'm loving the art of the posters aswell, much more interesting than your generic lead actor photo based posters, no doubt a choice possibly made to the recent popularity of the style of posters Olly Moss has been doing, was inevitable new movies would start to create posters in similarish style.

Severin's Top 50 Tracks of 2010
Good to see another Alk3 fan on here :D love this track, it's far from their best but still brillant. Sadly for me they werent one of the best bands I had the pleasure of seeing live this year and when i saw them (and this is sadly the only time i have seen them, so i was pretty excited) but the sound was f***ing awful, couldn't hear the vocals at all, everyone was just shouting "turn it up, turn it up" between every song, such a shame after walking around a festival all day wearing a Alkaline Trio t-shirt having random people high five me for it and coming up to me saying lyrics. dissapointment. hopefully i'll catch them again sometime soon. Can't say I ever thought much of this track, but unlike my bad experience seeing Alk3, Muse were one of the best bands i had the pleasure of seeing this year, - just wow. Great list so far, best out of this whole forum, i'll have to start stalking your last.fm.

Best And Worst Of 2010
Highlights for me, I won't do a worst as we live in a time where we watch what we want when we want, so by that logic i havent really seen any bad tv, obviously the worst would be The X Factor and Eastenders but have I sat down and watched those, f*** no, so I can't really say so. anyway, best of 2010 in my view: (this is not in order but assume that Lost>>>>>>>everything else) LOST: The Final Season oh f***ing yes. The best TV show of all time comes to a fantastic and meaningful ending, easily the best season of TV this year, answering some of our biggest questions since the first season, getting very deep into the mythology, and to top it off, the best acting on TV this year by far. Micheal Emerson and Terry O'Quinn are clearly some of the best TV actors of this time, if not ever. Infact here is a highlight scene for me, showing just how fantastic Micheal Emerson is as an actor. XFrYMO0jhGs I think the fact I still feel emotional impact of that says alot, brilliant brillant acting and he deserves any award he gets. I'm not going to say this was the best season of Lost, but for sure was the best thing on TV this year, initally I was fairly skeptical abaout the "flash forward" storyline but I thought it summed up the characters and how far they have come thanks to the island since the first episode, and I also thought it was a beautiful ending, I get a feeling a lot of people misunderstood it, but I thought it had a lot of meaning, let's face it, we could have got a meaningless ending. Dexter Season 5 Ok so this only ended on Monday, but just like every other season of Dexter, this was another fantastic season and Michael C Hall as usual was amazing, if it wasn't for Micheal Emerson on Lost, Hall would possibly be the best television actor. I felt this was a weaker season than the last one, but still overall strong, but with a much stronger second half to the season than the first, it definatly felt slow to begin with but once it got going it was great, definatly didn't match season 4 which is easily the best season to me strong from start to finish, but even weaker than the other season's, this still was one of the best shows on this year, I think now Lost has finished this is now my favourite currently running TV show, definatly in terms of US tv anyway. Now for a Vince Masuka gif: http://i55.tinypic.com/wqwm6p.gif The Inbetweeners Series 3 Not as good as season 2 or 1 but still had me laughing my ass off all the time, i'd say half this series is really really good and half this series is a bit weak, then again there are much weaker episodes in the first and second series aswell. My highlight episode for sure was the gig episode, although the realism of it was at a all new low, it had me laughing so so much, also you have to love the one where they go to Warwick, I love the dialogue between Simon and Tara's sister "Well i'm not happy you're having sex but at least I know you'll be doing it somewhere comfortable" "oh, of course, only in the vagina" "I MEANT MY BED" then Jay comes in "why'd you say vagina then?", and of course in the gig episode when Jay tries to buy weed off Donovan "Let me do you a special team twat deal" *rips open tea bag, puts tea leaves in cling film* "here you go", "that's tea" "are you calling me a liar?" "what do you say?" "thank you for the puff". Boardwalk Empire This was the HBO highlight for me this year, some of the best TV writing this year added with some fantastic acting thanks to the brilliant Steve Buscemi, and with Martin Scorsese involvement. This clearly is the next Sopranos or The Wire. Great writing, great cast, great direction, what more do you need. The Walking Dead Pilot and Finale I thought the start and ending of this short season were fantastic, but the episodes in the middle ruined it completely, awful acting, bad writing and ruining the carefully crafted characters. Fringe Season 2 finale I thought the ending of season 2 really showed just how much the show had developed since the start, the last so many episodes show the show getting really good, definatly some of my most enjoyed TV hours this year. The Pacific I definatly need to re-watch this and I don't think it did quite as good as Band of Brothers it was still a well written, well acted and well produced mini series by Spielberg and Hanks. ---------------- 2011 Anticipation: -YEAR ZERO (HBO/BBC series based on the Nine Inch Nails album 'Year Zero') -Dexter Season 6 -Torchwood Series 4 -The Inbetweeners specials -Life's To Short (new Ricky Gervais and Stephen merchant comedy) -Alcatraz (forthcoming JJ Abrams project)

Which was the last DVD you watched?
Watched Zodiac last night, the directors cut, on blu ray, thought it was a brilliant film (David Fincher is amazing), was the first blu ray i've watched on my new tv and it just looked fantastic. Very detailed film with a great cast.
