  1. I'm not keen tbh, I think the idea of 3D televisions in the home is ridiculous tbh and a waste of money, I think 3D does some films justice (i'm not a Avatar fan but it looked great in 3D theres no denying that) but on my tv at home, not as great tbh. The problem with some films, including Avatar, is that they are being sold on being 3D, they should be being sold on the film, not the fact its 3D.

I dont like the idea of 3D games at all.

  2. I'm annoyed I didn't get tickets for Leeds now. QOTSA will be utterly amazing but tbh MCR, with a new album to promote and songs like Black Parade that they can actually do justice to live, would still have blown GnR away. Axl isn't up to it but I'll be very pleased to be proved wrong. Biffy and Lostprophets as 3rd and 4th is just ridiculously good.

Arcade Fire and Pendulum on the same day is just like have two headliners really. Both will be great in completely different ways. The Blink day will be fantastic, great to have them back and I'm just bloody glad I've got tickets to see Paramore in November so I'm not kicking myself about this.

I'd have Axl Rose's GNR cover band over MCR any day, but I wont see "GnR" anyway, MCR are possibly the worst band ever (either them or Fall Out Boy) where as QOTSA are an incredible live band.

  3. im stuck between arcade fire, bad religion and ash, im not that into bad relgion tbh, pendulum i have seen before/hate the new album/all the twats will see them. Arcade Fire will be epic, but although i've seen Ash before, they will be amazing on such a small stage.

Every should see ATARI TEENAGE RIOT, I saw them last month, so good and intense live, better than when I saw The Prodigy at Reading last year. Also, why are Ash, former Reading and Leeds subheadliners and NME stage headliners, now on the smallest stage? very werid.

  5. I can think of other far more prominent things which also happen to be far more wrong with the South African government...like the persistent denial that AIDS has anything to do with HIV, that wearing a condom can do anything to stop it, that it can be cured by eating five fruit and vegetables a day (), the continuing economic apartheid, I could go on for DAYS...the ANC really had their hands tied when the whites let them take charge.

i didnt phrase it right really, i guess i more meant 'backs up that the south african government is f***ed up'.

  6. They are now getting cops to do security as the security stewards have quite rightly walked away.

Grebo, the fact they are mainly black doesnt changed the fact that the actions of the SA police are wrong.

TIP, just because American/European/British police would do the same thing, doesnt make it any more right. i'm sorry but that is no excuse for a peaceful protest (due to them being extremely underpaid) to be ending with the riot police with rubber bullets and tear gas, sums up what is wrong with the south african government.

  7. Time to get a bit more serious folks....

Here's another (and much more important) reason to dislike World Cup 2010...

    http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100614/ap_on_...oc_wcup_protest

Fukkin' SHAMEFUL treatment of the workers... No way would they have gotten away with doing that sort of sh!t to German WC Stewards in '06...... <_<

Shadows of the Apartheid regime anyone....?

Thats quite horrific, and by the sounds of it they were peacefully protesting, and protesting for f***ing good reason. I'm going to assume these people are desperate for money, I think they should just not turn up.

good enough reason to boycott the world cup imo.

  8. Amazed this hasn't leaked yet.

Don't like the uncertainty surrounding Bloc Party reuniting. I don't think I could cope with more than one solo project from Kele :(

BP is where he is best

yeah same, at first it seemed pretty certain that they were still a band but they were gonna to their side/solo $h!t then get back together, but the way kele speaks about it now, with the undertainity, its just like you could continue making average solo/side project albums or you could make a few more great BP albums.

  9. I agree, the country takes it far too seriously, i wish there was some non-football pubs. i cant even check facebook without seeing a thousand statuses saying 'WORLD CUP!!!!!' it's like well done for noticing. Some houses and supermarkets look as tacky as christmas when it comes to decorating. It's not even much of an exciting sport.
  10. Me and my mates were quite far back (couldn't get anywhere near the front), but it was pretty damn mental even where we were.... As far as "mental girl" goes, you know it's like, sorry, but if you dont wanna get caught up in a mosh pit or break your nails, get your hair messed up with beer, or whatever, what the fukk you even doing at the gig, DO YOU ACTUALLY KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THE NATURE OF THE GIG YOU ARE ATTENDING...? I basically got a shower of beer, and, weirdly it actually made my hair feel softer....

Ironically (and annoyingly) though, at the same time we were bouncing ourselves silly, Simon "the c**t" Cowell was being "honoured" by BAFTA....... <_<

yeah bandwagoners or not, doesnt take an idiot to know what a rage against the machine gig is gonna be like, if you dont want to be in a crowd like that you should definatly not be as far forward as some people who were attempting to get out were, just plain stupid of them really. its not like being at the front of a f***ing coldplay gig.

i quite like how simon cowell was getting a bafta while 40,000 people were at a gig that made a mockery of him, a fair few 'f*** simon cowell' chants, and of course the introduction. and t-shirts Rage: 1 Cowell: 0. at one point i let someone pass me in the crowd and they go 'cheers. simon cowell's a c**t'.
