The first german radio stations started to play it as "album of the week" with some pre-views, but at all #4 on amazon is really good for Germany

450-500k this week and up to 1.8 M at the end of 2011. The fact its for 3.99 as download at amazon and hmv might help the sale aswell. Knowing you should never trust wikipedia, but they mention 1.2M preorders for the album :blink:

TTO has been down the night before the news had been published - don´t ask me why

He is clearly no.1 in the airplay charts -my local station plays it at least four times ...and I only listen 4 hours a day. Looks like EMI is really scared that nobody knows that the album is out. They started to push the airplay 8 weeks before the first single & album news were out, so much more airplay....but then TT still gots a lot there aswell. And at the moment I would even say its to much, people could easly be fed up until the time the album is out??

I won´t give my hopes to high that they stay in the top 20 after the missing dates are back. Th single isn´t even mention on itunes - just as a normal album track, so I wonder if they have a kind of exclusive deal with play.com about that aswell? They don´t seem to bother anymore with the single chart position, might just be in the contract or getting more people to buy the album as you don´t need to pay that much more to get that. The itunes pass is it worth I think, you get the three live songs, the videos which are really great

The Garden is now down to 27 in Germany - I´m surprise that it only dropped 7

To say something about the BW Tour 2 years ago. All arenas in Germany were sold really good I would say, you couldn´t spot many empty seats The problem with Spain was, that they had sold out an arena, and then moved the show to a twice size one - without putting any advers of the concert on, so not many more tickets got sold. In Italy was the problem the lack of promotion, nearly no adverts and so on, so even people who had loved to see them, but didn´t been so "hardcore" fans knew that they were in town, and found it out as it was to late - after the show actually. I know a lot of people who didn´t bought the album or singles, but would love to see them again on stage - but in my mind europe is at the moment out of their mind. Thy can´t do the same tour again as they have done in the UK over here, and why touring again in spring/summer time with the same songs and thinking again what to do, if you know that a lot of the people already had seen the shows in the UK or the dvd and expecting a certain level.

Its really quiet on TTTV since the change to the new board - well i shouldnt´say anything as I´m only 10% on there as I was used to. :P At the first look its seems to be a reason to be disappointed, only a "Top 20" hit for Take That. But if you look what else is in the charts, and how Take That is still been seen in the radio and media I think its really good. And as much as I like the song, its not the best choise for a single, not in that time of the year. Nearly nobody is buying singles anymore, the economy is starting to get down here aswell - and paying 5 Euro for the normal version is just to expensive - and downloads are cheaper but not everyone wants to do that and just stick to radio or youtube and as recording from radio is here allowed a lot are doing that. The bigger point is, how Take That is seen here. I was lucky enough to win a M&G at a local radio station 2 weeks ago, and it was very interesting to see the "backwork" and what the radio staff expected us fans to be - two crazy fans with posters on the walls and screaming and been like that :w00t: :w00t: They still don´t accept the lads as band, with grown fans and not again the crazyness from the 90´s. And yeah, they tried it again and well I can´t see them having the big hit - but as long the radio stations are playing them a lot I think they are doing well. And I know a lot of people that loved the live shows 2 years ago, and would go again. Don´t know which I prefer - there are songs on both records I love and songs I can´t hear - I would prefair a mix of both :P

Short update for German Charts - entry at #20

Are there any news if the Garden will be released in the UK as 3rd single? I know that wikipedia is not trustable but there its listen as 3rd single, released at the 2oth April (which sounds for me a bit early after Up all night -and they are in the middle of starting the tour rehersale - so I´m not sure about that)

If they are doing the one german TV show that Universal want them to do, then they need do sing live as everyone needs to sing live there (and is the reason Britney never was there :lol: ) I wouldn´t say in general that TT are without sucess in Europe - my radiostation is loving TT, and playing at least twice a day a song. And most people know TT if the topic went to in that direction, but I think the age of the fans has changed. And apart from the hardcore fans they just don´t buy the singles or albums anymore. its enough that the radio station is playing the songs, if they are coming for a tour its a reason to buy a ticket (and the tour 2007 was nearly sold out with 7 shows in Germany not that bad)....but not real a album - special if you not know that there is a new one out which happen with "The Circus" But apart from that I think TT are a major UK thing - not sure if we can blame TT or Universal for the lack of promo in Europe to change the things over there or if they are just not interested in that.

From the way Gary is sitting and trying to smile it seems for me that he was in real pain because of his back (and with having a lot of trouble with that I know how hurtfull it can be). So I guess it was that or the pain killers he had taken so that it wouldn´t be "Take Three" on stage. But yeah mainly Jason harmony and I think he need to practise a bit more for the tour in that :rolleyes: Wonder how the live performance of "The Garden" will go on :lol: if they ever do it live on europe ´s tv shows

Release date will be according to Universal Germany 20th March I have no idea why they have choose "The Garden" - but with Universal over here nothing is surprising me anymore :lol: One reason could be that this song has got a lot of great credits at reviews - and I think it could be with the right promotion a radio hit - it has does bits why songs got played. And with the song being involved all four you can build a nice story around, first time all four again since NF and so on. And well Universal even didn´t thought of sending informations out until today - thinking that we already had heard the song as the radio stations are having the song since Friday. Nobody from the german board has heart it until today :angry: Thats why we started our own radio campain - as if the songs gets airplayed we hope that enough people will hear and knew that TT are having a new single out - at least a radio hit as nothing. It looks like the album will be enter the german charts at #14, which is I think really god for just doing on TV show as promotion. And with another one doing in two weeks it will hopefull sell a few more albums. Personal I think TT don´t want to have sucess outside the UK, its nice if it happen, but its not nessasary for them anymore. Patience was different to see, as it was the comeback single and every mag, tv show, news reported about the lads being back together. They have sucess in the german radio´s I would say, they keep on playing the songs over and over - even Greatest Day :P

Up all night is my all fave - and the lads had asked at Manchester during the recording which song we prefer, Up all night was a clear winner and it sounded the way Gary was saying it that it will be the next single. Do we know how many people watched it ?

It wasn´t a surprise that GD didn´t done that well in the charts, for me I was surprised that it was that good. :blink: And like other had said before, you usual don´t buy a single over here - its expensive with between 3.50 Euro and 7 Euro, and you can get the album for 12.99 if you like. But they got a lot of airplay in the radios I would say, even Reach out (which was the single here instead of I´d wait for life) was played a lot. And for the european tour, universal Germany is keep on saying that they will do one - and gary said in an interview that they don´t like doing promo or TV shows as they usual can´t sing live what they want to do. They want to play concerts (which is the big money at the moment - and not with selling albums).

Take That is maybe not a so big single seller at Germany, but they`re really good at the airplay charts and I think Beautiful world was a good selling record.

HMV has the record for 3.99 GBP on the website, so there should be a few more records sold over the week

I read the same at Gary`s book. But I can`t believe that. Usual artists make at the momemt most profit because of a tour. And if you don`t make money, you don`t do it, special if you lost 8 million. I think they got some good money for this tour, I know that its cost lots of money. But don`t forget, they don`t have the Rob hologram or the water on the stage this time. So it should be cheaper. The only real expensive part are the European dates with 30 tracks, travel near each day, the private plane... And yes, you maybe know me from the TTTV Board..whats your nickname there?
