Xmas TOTP never has that week's chart, just the number 1 which everyone knew would be Alexandra. They've been filming the Xmas and New Year shows together over a series of three tapings - Alex taped it on Sunday the day after she won alongside Coldplay, Adele, Sam Sparro and the cast of Mama Mia. Wednesday evening (12th) was Leona Lewis, Girls Aloud, Pussycat Dolls, Geraldine/Peter Kay, Kaiser Chiefs, Dizzee Rascal & Calvin Harris, Gabriella Cilmi and Keane. Acts on Wednesday afternoon (12th) included Take That, Duffy and McFly. The Xmas show will be mainly these live performances and the New Year show a mix of live and taped segments (videos, news etc) - some acts performed two songs one for each show.

Given that he sold around 5.3k more yesterday and is only 1.3k behind it would be a major shock if he wasn't ahead in tomorrow's midweeks <_<

They were both appalling songs though, be it in the original or cover versions ... in contrast Hallelujah is considered a classic and the Buckley version has widespread acknowledgment as a/the definitive version hence its use in so many films/TV shows. In fact it's early appearance on iTunes and in the charts this year prior to the X-Factor Final owes more to the BBC's use of the song to advertise the iPlayer for the last month.

I think you're overestimating the impact of the RVP hugely. The demographic for it isn't the same as the likes of X-Factor and is far more likely to not know how to switch a computer on, let alone download a track.

Inner Massivia New Music Melody Express The general opinion circulating at the BJSC Appreciation Society weekly meeting today suggested that Ana Johnsson will be another strong entry for Torchwood. Their previous entry Lesley Roy proved popular in Inner Massivia coming third in its voting for BJSC XII.

I'm starting to worry now that Melanie Fiona might not be right for the competition and I'll have to ditch her in favour of Scandipop.

Leona should be now on 2,356,459 so unless they've revised one of the figures downwards it'd put her in 14th.

Frankmusic was poor though - received massive overhype from very early on. Finished 17th in Inner Massivia scoring 5/10 joint with Le Roux, another example of overhype. btw thanks to Pavel for being a brilliant host.
