  1. Unfortunately atm there's no plans to release "Can You Hear Me?" in the UK.
  2. Yep, the album has the duet with Nadiya as well as remixes of "Do You Know" and "Tired of Being Sorry" again with Nadiya. If anyone's interested here's the full version of "Can You Hear Me?" n4m974O2fv8
  3. A 29 second clip of a song Enrique recorded for the Euro 2008 Championship album. It's also going to be on a reissue of the Insomniac album in France. Click

Debuted at #18 on Billboard Top 200 Albums with sales of 22,000. Needless to say it's #1 on Top Latin Albums.

Tbh "Push" was never going to go anywhere. It's just a last ditch effort to eek a few more album sales without anyone wasting money or effort. It did reach #86 on Pop Radio but then dropped to #767. I guess you could call that a flop but seeing as it was never properly released to radio he's lucky to get that. As I said in another thread on here Insomniac was patterned on Furtado's Loose in terms of giving Enrique a comeback as a cooler artist. When it didn't do those numbers with "Do You Know" they decided it was better off trying to appeal to his old image with a more traditional Enrique song like "Somebody's Me". Even though that was a hit on Hot AC radio it didn't make a blip on album sales. After that they were lost, they had no idea what to do with him. The tour he's going to Latin America, the Middle East and Asia with is for Insomniac so there may still be some future for the album in some form. According to his official bio Insomniac has gone Gold or Platinum in 18 countries so it can't all be bad. Whether that would be enough to maintain an English career who knows. I can't see any major US record label wanting him to release English albums unless they're succesful in the US itself.

I wouldn't hold my breath for any more promotion for "Push". Interestingly I've read in a few places that the video was heavily edited by MTV because it was too explict. The original actualy has Prophet in it. Original Video... FKTCOVvc8bs Is it just me or is this actualy a lot less explicit. To me it just looks like they just edited Prophet out of the video. Seems strange that MTV would take the trouble to edit the video as it hasn't been shown once on the occasions they do play videos or been added to TRL. The only thing they've done is add it to their official Youtube Channel.

I'm kinda out of the Enrique loop atm. I emailed someone who's usualy a good source about things like this but no word. The song hasn't been officialy added to radio in the US yet and the video is only available via the net, it doesn't look like he'll promote the song any more than he has done. It also was removed from the list of official singles from the Step Up 2 the Streets OST. The cynic in me is wondering if it's properly coming out or if they're hoping with a controversial clip and a bit of media exposure they could eek out a few more album sales rather than waste any money pushing him in reluctant mainstream US market. I suppose it could come out in Europe which would be a good idea seeing as Enrique's more popular there but they'd have to get their skates on if they want to get with the Movie release. Then again it looks like Insomniac is winding down, he's only really promoting Tired Of Being Sorry in Germany and the French version of the song in France.

"getting predictable"? He's been recycling the same ideas since he crossed over into English. Not entirely his fault though he's had two videos pulled by his label because they deviated from his image as a heartthrob too much Sad Eyes and the original Don't Turn Off The Lights so I guess it's difficult to be original when your hands are tied so much. Obviously very little thought went into the video besides making it as sleazy and dirty as possible. Personaly I just don't like the sleazyness of this video , plus he looks kinda bored throughout, not to mention it all looks as if it was made for about five bucks. I would have liked a video along the lines of "Promiscuous" by Nelly Furtado. As for Lil Wayne...who can say why he's not there. I bet he would've been in it if it released as the second single as was originaly planned. Being on the Soundtrack to a Disney movie may have had something to do with it.

Push ft Lil Wayne link dLU7FSF5R6E Push ft Prophet wWFNLEXg7uw Of course when put featuring neither Lil Wayne or Prophet are in the videos, just their voices. It's just Enrique some slutty dancers and the two stars of the film. I'm not going to say anything about the video itself. Just let people make up their own minds about what they think of it.

Okay so the official Myspace page for the movie says the version from the Soundtrack doesn't feature Lil Wayne but a new LA based rapper on an independent label called Prophet and that a video has been shot for the new version. The wording doesn't exclude the possibility that there's a video for the version with Weezy but it looks unlikely. Enrique went to KIIS FM to premier the song on Ryan Seacrest's show and it was the version with Prophet. If you want to listen to the new version you can hear it on Prophet's Myspace He's performed the song solo on Leno and Regis. You can watch the Leno performace Here Word is the video will be shown the day the movie premiers, Valentines Day. Because Enrique telling a girl to "Push up on it" while some rent a rapper no one knows is talking about lap dances is really romantic y'know
  11. You can now listen to to the first single from the Greatest Hits he's releasing. Click

I assume everyone has already seen this but it's Enrique on E talking about "Push" from the set of the video. Click He's also recently filmed the video to "Donde Estas Corazon" which will be the lead single from his Greatest Hits.

It's definitely a Spanish hits album with the seventeen #1s he has on Billboards Hot Latin Tracks as well as two new songs "Donde Estas Corazon" and "Lloro Por Ti". It's possible they may also include "Alguien Soy Yo" seeing as it was expected to go to the top and may yet do so. It was originaly supposed to be out in November of this year, pushed back to February and the current release date is in March. Here's the poster which they were going to use to advertise it... http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e280/klankandorbis/enriquegh.jpg I suppose after four English albums it's time for a Greatest Hits in English, although a more accurate term would be a collection of singles. If we're talking about worldwide successes there's "Hero", "Bailamos", "Escape", "Do You Know" after that it gets a bit fuzzy.
  14. MSN has put up Enrique's Belfast Concert to watch on their site. You can either watch it all as one show or click on which songs you want to watch. This is the concert that Enrique said that he wanted to put onto a DVD which would presumebly have some of the songs that are missed out... Click

Enrique said in an interview backstage at the Nokia that he'd be filming a new video soon. This kind of lends some credibilty to this.

That's right. A quick look on Wikipedia says that Lil Wayne is on Cash Money, both of which are part of Universal.

I don't know much about Videostatic.com or how credible they are but they do have the wrong record label for both Enrique and Lil Wayne. Assuming that it's true and assuming they'd record the video in the States it doesn't leave them much time to film. He told Johnjay & Rich he'd be back in LA for one day on 22nd which is the only time he could record a video. I do feel slightly hopeful but given that they've started playing the Spanish version of "Tired of Being Sorry" on MTV Tr3s and that Enrique's label has dangled "Push" as a single before only to knock it back after people have taken it as a single I'm personaly taking this with a grain of salt.

    Unfortunately not.

Too true, in both the US and the UK. It's quite a popular song among the fans but it just seems cursed to not do anything in the charts. At least Europe got a decent follow up to "Do You Know" with "Tired of Being Sorry". Although I highly doubt *he* had anything to do with the decison to release "Somebody's Me". They seem to be rushing it, they're leaving it some time to catch on in the rest of Europe but if in the UK the cd single is out on the 10th of this month then it doesn't bode well. Even the promo seemed to be organised on the fly. I wonder if he sang it at the Royal Variety Performance, could that and the Paul O'Grady appearance make a difference.

Well I think by now that the ship has sailed on this as a single. I knew deep down that the label didn't want to release it, not to mention that it would just be cheaper for them to flip the singles around as to avoid the cost of filming a new music video. The video for "Amigo Vunerable" has been added to MTV Tr3s and after the video was featured on Americas Next Top Model it seems that if they go for an English single for the mainstream market it'll be "Tired Of Being Sorry" though seeing as he's going back to Europe after his one US show I doubt he'll actualy promote it. Pity really, it may not be what a lot of people associate with Enrique's style but Enrique seemed to be quite proud of the song and was eager to get it played, he even told Johnjay and Rich to replace "Somebody's Me" with "Push". Considering that both that and "Ring My Bells" have been fan favorites aswell as the type of songs that radio seems to embrace it's baffling that Enrique's managment would sit on them in favor of the same ol' songs that don't work anymore.

Thanks. Maybe another reason for putting the feelers out for this song is to leech of the popularity of the unoffcial remix of "Gimme More" that takes Weezy's rap from "Push". What's the betting that if the song were released people'd say that Enrique stole Lil Wayne's part from Britney lol iY9LnK9NEpk

Well "Push" was originaly going to be the second single from the album. The record company was hoping for a Nelly Furtado-esque comeback with this album but when it didn't do those kind of numbers they decided to rethink the project. They obviously took to heart most of the negative reviews of the album which singled out "Push" and decided it was a mistake to ever have tried to market Enrique as anything but a heartthrob ballad guy. It seems that they're putting the song out there now to appease the fans and Enrique who wanted a more radio worthy song as a single. Obviously they still have doubts about the song as they've given it an uphill battle. Some diehard hip hop stations refuse to play Justin Timberlake because he's too pop so what are they going to make of Enrique? If they'd sent it out to a few more CHR stations then it'd be a more positive sign. (Hell they didn't even ship it to the Arizona station he calls into everyday) I was a fan that was pulling for "Push" as the second single as I felt it was probably the best bet for radio play and to build up on the momentum of "Do You Know", I was disapointed when Enrique's label wussed out of releasing it. Now I feel different, while there are obvious examples to the contrary the liklihood of CHR radio stations playing "Push" after they ignored "Somebody's Me" isn't all that high. I can just imagine all the DJs on all those stations that Enrique visited during that massive radio tour for "Somebody's Me" just dismissing it as Enrique's attempt to be cool. But as said here the song is probably Enrique's best bet to get US radio in his side again and there's nothing to be lost in taking the chance I just wished they'd have took it sooner rather than later.

Not entirely. It's made an impression on Hot AC recently, currently at #21. It could be a late bloomer on AC radio were it should have been promoted right from the beginning. Of course there's still his performance of the song on the Young and the Restless so I guess the single isn't officialy over yet. I hope the song can do a little better but if the song keeps on at this level I hope Enrique's people learn something from it. When an artist doesn't want to release a certain single, his own fans don't want to release a certain single and it's the type of song that CHR wont likely play then they should listen. Also the official word was that they were just testing "Push" on a few stations to see how well it does. Seeing as most of those stations are Hip Hop stations I can't see them playing an Enrique song. Seeing as he's got a Spanish Language Greatest Hits coming out next month I can't see them focusing on "Push". Dare I suggest they're only sending it to those radio stations to appease Enrique.
