Not sure about #1 and #2 but if I remember correctly, McFly's Lies charted at #4 just 7 copies behind the Pussycat Dolls in 2008.
  2. Really excited about the album after hearing 'The End of the World'. Party Girl/ Shine A Light/ The End of the World are all quite different from each other but I like variety.
  3. Just listened to the new album track "The End of the World". Brilliant! Much better than Party Girl/ Shine a Light.
  4. Shine a Light is now playing on radio stations! HQ versions on youtube.
  5. Julia, don't worry, I think they were just copying the female dancers who were dancing in the cage!
  6. I'm interested in what it will sound like in high quality as despite the terrible echo/ basically low quality of the recordings so far, I can faintly make out some different sounds such as some piano. Seems like there is a lot more to it, if you get what I mean. Especially towards the end of the track.

There's something about this track which makes me feel like it doesn't fit together quite right.
  8. Its all over youtube now if people are looking for it.
  9. Just took a listen to Cheryl's new track. Its no "Fight for this Love" and sounds very different. You're probably right just because she's Cheryl and because no doubt it'll get promoted on the X Factor, but as songs I don't think Cheryl's is as catchy. I'm disappointed actually. Was expecting something better from her.
  10. Wow, just caught Taio recording his bit - sounds fantastic!
  11. Judging by this: http://www.dailystar.co.uk/posts/view/1546...r-treasure-hunt With Taio being in the video, it seems the McFly track should be "Shine a Light ft. Taio Cruz"
  12. McFly still top of the physicals - no suprise there!
  13. The release week is interesting. A little bit of competition. The Saturdays single features Flo Rida but the McFly track might feature Taio Cruz and is definitely co-written/ produced by him. Plus Nadine's first single. Hmm.

Hmm, from memory her only good competition the week its released is the McFly/Taio Cruz track (McFly are unsure whether the version they will use will have Taio on it or not). Depends on who's released the week before. Haven't played the full track yet but I'd say top 3.

McFly are holding up well! Might not be such a drop next week fingers crossed.

McFly's strong physicals should push them into the top 5 easily.

McFly aren't too far behind Eminem now. I wonder if they'll overtake him soon.

    Loved the Brandon Flowers performance.

Didn't mean to sound like I hated the idea of that new music show, it sounds good as it sounds like everything that X Factor (Which I hate) should be, with them performing their own songs etc. Although I don't like Sky, no. I like the Sky channels but I wouldn't pay a penny to have all of those extra channels. Happy with Freeview. Haven't caught the charts recently so didn't know the show was having such an impact. I listened to the preview of the song on Itunes and it sounds plain. Nice voice but without the show it probably wouldn't chart where it is at the moment!

I've never even seen this Must Be the Music. Haven't got Sky and don't want it! Good job the X Factor doesn't release its performances. But anyway, that was a shock, that song shooting up like that. Do songs from that show usually drop quickly?

That's why I said next week will be interesting. I think they will definitely drop, but not as much as usual is a possibility this time.

Party Girl is listed as at 7 now on mine, with Alex at 3.
