  1. Paterson Joseph might be black, but that isn't the reason I'm rather put off by the idea of him becoming the Doctor. I love Doctor Who and it's spin offs at the moment, but that's because I find the Actors/ Actresses great. However, I had seen Christopher Eccleston in something before he got the role of Doctor Who and found him a good actor, then saw David Tennant in Blackpool and Casanova and found him brilliant before being excited about him getting the role! Paterson Joseph - seen him in a couple of things, including Survivors on at the moment and I'm not keen on him. It could be scripts, it could be his character but I just am not seeing the same signs of him being great in the role that I've seen from Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant in particular in the past. As much as I've enjoyed Doctor Who since it's comeback in 2005 and have loved Steven Moffats writing, I don't think I'll enjoy it the same - but he could surprise me. I have really warmed to the way David Tennant has acted in the role and know how different the next actor will have to play it too though so I might not enjoy it as much ever again, to be honest. That is if he is cast, he may not be. There are actors I've seen on TV that I'd like in the role but I'm one of those people who only know faces and not names with most actors!
  2. I'm not so sure, if they release that. It had to grow on me and it was on the free album. I think they should release one of the 3 new songs because it would boost the albums sales and less people will already own them.
  3. McFly do a lot of special downloads but Do Ya was just a rubbish single choice. It's just one of the reasons people don't take them seriously. They never release the best songs tbh.
  4. Also, I think the reason is that clearly a lot of the releases were not strong by the standards of the artists and were either poorly promoted or released on a too strong week.
  5. As much as I'm finding all these endings of chart runs sad, I bloody well hope Westlife are next!
  6. It's funny to read that, because I'm in an discussion on another forum about how McFly need to go now, and your last points are being made about them too, however regarding Do Ya. However less about changing thier sound, more about releeasing the right songs off the album. I personally really love the new Sugababes songs and hated the whole Change and Denial era.
  7. Interesting to notice that the singles are all those of which I've liked at first or never liked at all and then hated after them becoming incredibly over-played. The ones from this decade anyway, it'll take a while before I'll be able to listen to a lot of them ever again.

I find Leona incredibly over-rated. I find that she's most definitely talented, but I don't enjoy listening to her voice and I'm always going to see Run as Snow Patrol's song. I actually believe it sounds better being sang by a male! The only song that Leona has released so far that I can bare listening to is Better In Time. Her lower voice is annoying and the way she's always up and down can be irritating to listen to. The repetition in Forgive Me and Bleeding Love, especially Bleeding Love, are what makes it worse. I guess it's all down to personal opinion though. I can see her songs becoming less over-rated over time though, she wont be selling this much forever.
  9. As someone who's a huge fan of new who, I'll be gutted if they announce he'll be the next Doctor. Saw Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant in other dramas before they got the part and thought they were great. Not liking him in Survivors and his part in a previous Doctor Who episode wasn't very good. Not going to abandon the show though. I'll give him a chance and I might like the companion. I think it's a huge risk though, not only an almost completely new production team but a new Doctor with what will probably be new companions. Also, without trying to sound racist, which I must add I am not, the addition of the Doctor then being black could make the whole change-over even worse. People are going to miss David Tennant in the role a hell of a lot and the fact is, there are people that will switch off because of such a huge change as that. It'll obviously get the program a lot of promotion through the papers etc though which could even it up for his first few episodes, at least. It'll be a shame if the next doctor doesn't appeal to the viewers as much as David Tennant did or Christopher Eccleston and a lot of people stopped tuning in. Steven Moffat is a fantastic writer and is going to bring a lot of amazing stories.

This song is brilliant. Hopefully number 1! Looks like i'll be buying Lily's second album too then. I loved her first.
  11. From first listen, it seems a bit weak. Like a B Side or something. It's really boring too. Certainly not one of their best at all. Rather one of their worst imo, but it'll probably grow on me a little bit. Not a lot though.
  12. It's odd to see how albums and singles can be sold in more shops than others and cheaper prices than others and get away with it, but i'm in no way against Take That getting to number 1 over Britney Spears! Especially seeing as she does nothing but mime. I just find it odd. With the Mamma Mia DVD too. But I guess it's just the way it goes, nothings fair in life, lol.
  13. No, that was the advert and wasn't because it was too scary. I mean yeah, it could have led to the video being banned too but not because it was too scary, because they were worried people would copy McFly and put people in boxes or something along them lines.
  14. I'd never call Britney over-rated though, in the way that if you bring up her name to someone nowadays they'd be less likely to call her amazing and the best thing around! They'd laugh at her shaving her hair off etc. and perhaps say "her new songs alright." Also, I've seen Take That perform live on shows in the past. Flicked over to one of their live shows on The Hits or TMF too. They seem good, but I meant it in the recorded sort of way. Gary & Mark would never sell as many tickets for a live show because it'd never be as good as having the 4 of them there, but it still makes you wonder if their recorded music would do the same without Jason & Howard.
  15. I'd never think to buy a album before liking at least 2 tracks (unless it's come free in a paper or something before). I'll wait and listen to what's released off it before ever thinking of buying it.
  16. Bloody hell. I've not actually heard the album, have heard the previous albums album tracks though and decided not to bother with that album, but Take That have become so over-rated :o I wonder if they'd ever do as well if Gary and Mark did the songs alone. The other 2 don't do much, do they?! It's surprising for a band who don't even play instruments. Don't get me wrong, they have great tracks and I own their Greatest Hits.
  17. I thought I hadn't seen the video on telly much! Once, actually! Just flicked over to the top 40 on TMF and they explained it couldn't be played because it was too scary. Too scary?! No wonder it's done so badly.
  18. Lol, I thought I was in the Pop forum. Never mind me.
  19. Yeah, but I think it's more of a problem for them than others. McFly fans love B Sides and other CD extras, therefore that's where their buys come from mainly. Plus the fact that a lot of fans are young, but I must add that they're not all 10 year olds!
  20. McFly fans don't like the covers as much as their original songs. Also, Stay With Me was performed once, on CIN, and played on the radio once. That was it. Hardly good promotion. As well as that, I Kissed A Girl is on the Live Lounge CD. As well as all this, everyone keeps saying how murder it was trying to buy the single. I luckily bought it online which took the trouble away, but apparently even though the DVD Single was a HMV exclusive it was hardly stocked anywhere. Many had to ask at the counters to be told. Yet everyone who has complained said even though they couldn't find it, they easily found that X Factor Hero cover. I've never heard of so much trouble trying to find their CD singles before. I've been buying them online since OFTR earlier this year when a few shops stopped stocking CD Singles and I got a bit worried, but this just proves how much indeed they need to start releasing songs that reach out to new fans and the downloading nation. Hopefully Do Ya has been a wake up call for them to release the better songs. Someone on their official forum very well explained McFly as a 'one step forward, two steps backwards' band at the moment, so they really need to get their act together.
  21. I actually believe that the fact Radio:ACTIVE was given away in the paper very much affected McFly's sales for their singles. OFTR came out on the week of the Sunday the paper had the album and Do Ya was on that and the Deluxe edition. Lies did the best, even though it charted lower than OFTR at 4, with it not being on the free album but the Deluxe edition album was due out soon afterwards. The main reason has to have been their single choices though, with OFTR and Do Ya. There are only about 2 weak songs left on the album now, but the way they're going they'll release them too. But seriously, they'll probably have a strong single next. Lies has been the strongest release but still isn't the best on the album, there are about 3 better at least. Interesting Commentary anyhow.
  22. McFly - Transylvania was a B-Side to Star Girl and an Album track before it topped the charts in 2007!

I love Girls Aloud's releases but Something Kinda Ooooh is and was awful in my opinion. Didn't like their cover of I Think We're Alone Now either. Found Call The Shots very over-rated. Otherwise, I'd say any others. Until I think of another song, lol.

They've stated their availability every tour date and on their myspace. I've received emails, too, which I'm sure said about them. Are you signed up to the new website? My point before about Itunes - I know it's on Itunes, but the boys themselves I don't think have ever mentioned it being on there. They're concentrating on 7Digital. Plus, if someone wants Do Ya & Stay With me it's a quid on 7Digital for 2 rather than, what, 79p each?

I'm pretty sure if the downloads were available on Itunes then they would be making an impact, however instead, McFly are heavily promoting the use of 7Digital. It's cheaper in ways too.
