Anyone think Same Difference might fall behind McFly in the official chart? Taking into account McFly have 2 new Do Ya downloads out since midnight on 7 Digital and went up a place when the previous 3 were added.
  2. That's a good point. Radio 1 & 2 tend to play McFly a lot more nowadays but other radio stations don't play them at all for some reason. If they do, they play Obviously and Five Colours In Her Hair.
  3. I really recommend it. Wasn't my favourite musical i've seen but nevertheless very very good.
  4. If they choose good songs they'll do alright. the old label and the guys themselves have failed to choose the best songs by them off the albums for almost 5 years now, it's time for change. Also, Lies was released on download before it was physically released and did OK, was at about 14# on Itunes for quite a while I seem to remember.

I love Issues so much right not, one of my favourite songs at the moment.
  6. I was very disappointed too. I believe they were going to release one of the better songs, however lyrically, I suppose, this was one of the most suitable for Children In Need as, for example, they couldn't release a song about a man coping with his girlfriends suicide by drinking himself to death lol. The next song should be as good as or better than Lies. At least it wont be a disappointment now all the worst songs have been released (Do Ya, OFTR in my opinion). Lol.
  7. I'll find it interesting, it has been a very interesting year for charting, most probably very much effected by their choice to give the album away for free. It was nice to break the little pattern they had, where the first 3 songs from a studio album would go 1-1-3. I'm almost 90% sure there are number 1s to come yet, though unlikely from this album and most likely throughout the half a year or so that the very annoying X Factor doesn't affect.
  8. Exactly! The atmosphere was a main thing it was lacking! I also found the songs a bit quiet or something by memory, probably because they're so loud and amazing in the West End musical. Then nobody in the cinema got off their chairs and had a bit of a dance! But heyy, that hardly happens in the cinema. I've seen a whole cinema of people get up and dance only once.
  9. Such a shame Christmas isn't the same any more, I'd love to see a new Christmas song at number 1. I'd even very much dislike the X Factor winner to actually sing a Christmas cover. Still, the number 2 is almost as good as the old Christmas number 1 nowadays! The X Factor number 1 means nothing at all. Have the feeling Wham will be quite high. Definitely Mariah.
  10. I was actually really surprised at Mamma Mia's success. But I think I have reason, I saw the West End musical of it at the start of the year and found out about the film after in the programme. It was no where as good as the London musical in my opinion. The voices were far greater in London for a start. It was absolutely fantastic, but Mamma Mia is obviously still ahead of a lot of films with it just being what it is. I'll certainly buy it at some stage.
  11. Unfortunately. Don't get me wrong. Love Take That & Girls Aloud, but previous songs by them were much better and didn't do as well which is quite annoying. Especially with Girls Aloud, in my opinion.
  12. I think they should take it as a message to listen to what the fans want, we didn't want Do Ya, they thought it was one of their best songs of all time! I remember Corrupted being played on Radio 1 and everyone texting in going "Wow, that was McFly? Great song!" It would be a great choice. Also, do you mean 2 more releases from Radio:ACTIVE? As much as I'd love for the other songs to get heard, I think 1 more is enough and then they should move onto the next album. A Double A Side would be good though, as long as they promote both tracks as good as each other.
  13. I Kissed A Girl is on the Live Lounge CD too.
  14. The McFly guys are heavily promoting it being a fiver everywhere this Christmas to help it sell. I wouldn't at all call this a disaster, I know many people who have bought the newspaper to get the album, different ages, different genders, really enjoyed it and feel as if they'll probably buy the next, however didn't bother with the deluxe edition as it had only 4 new songs (with one being a release.) It has certainly gained them new fans. Also, as I have previously stated, if they make the correct decision and release Down Goes Another One, which I feel will be the strongest release as it is the fans favourite by miles and is only on the Deluxe Edition album, they have a chance at the number 1 spot and top 5 if the right week is chosen. I am a little doubtful that they'll choose it though for some reason, but there are other good choices. They've released their statement now (OFTR) and they've released the happy happy charity song (Do Ya), now it's time to release one of the strong songs. There are at least 6 to choose from that I feel would do very well and surprise non-fans. I've certainly shown them to others who have really enjoyed them. I'm not claiming though that any time soon they're suddenly going to be selling 600 000 copies of an album again with songs that'll stay in the same place 2 weeks in a row, but in the long time if they make the right decisions it's possible. Another number 1 is certainly not out of the question.
  15. I'd hardly call it a flop. Outside the top 20 would be a flop in my opinion. What, 13? would be only 4 below their lowest charting.
  16. Also, Stay With me was hardly promoted. It might as well just be a B Side. They performed it on CIN and played it on the radio once. That's it. They don't even play it on tour. The guys promoted Do Ya instead.
  17. No, Stay With Me wasn't on the albums but fans are interested in their own written songs and it's not exactly a very well known Faces (or Rod Stewart) song for clear reasons. McFly aren't going down, their career is still beginning in my opinion. They're having many requests to go elsewhere in the world and tried Brazil this year, where they sold 3 (i think) quite large concerts without having ever been there, promoted there or actually properly releasing anything. They somehow also managed a number 1 DVD out there. They also went to Oz where they found a lot of fans, so if they start going out to these places more their fanbase worldwide would grow. Next month, they're headlining Miss World in South Africa which apparently gets 2 billion viewers worldwide, so yes, although they're not quite as big as they used to be here, their careers are still growing and imo, they'll gain more fans here again when they start choosing the right songs to release. One For The Radio & Do Ya were mistakes, especially with such strong tracks on their album. Do Ya is just a bad charting to get them thinking properly and listen to what the fans want released and not on overly busy weeks.
  18. It's becoming rather annoying to see all these songs connected to the X Factor getting to number 1. I find the weeks number 2 far more interesting when this happens, especially at Christmas.
  19. Taking into consideration the free album and the re-release album both having the track on and the fact they on a huge arena tour at the moment, it means far from. They're not going anywhere yet. Do Ya is one of the weakest tracks on the enw album, including One For The Radio. There are far better tracks, better than even Lies, that would make top 10 and will hopefully be released next.

Based on music, I never really think of McFly as a boy band, they are quite similar to many bands who are branded normal or rather not boy bands. Tbh, I just think of boy bands as a group of young men who dance about while singing and don't play instruments. Though you could also argue that they're young men in a band, but that doesn't work for the way people brand other bands at the moment and to be honest, Take That aren't 'young' any more.
  21. I've been meaning to get her album since it came out! I just keep spending my money elsewhere. I still need to buy Massive RnB & Nickleback for friends, maybe this week actually, so hopefully I'll still have money but maybe not! I should request someone to buy it for me.
  22. CD/DVD Singles McFly - Do Ya/ Stay With Me (cd version & dvd version) Downloads McFly - Do Ya live in manchester Albums AC/DC for my brother and hopefully Duffy!

The McFly guys have special 7Digital downloads which they are promoting. I saw the guys on Saturday in Manchester and they are telling everyone the number to text every tour date by the looks of it :) So hopefully that should do good. However, the sales for many of the downloads shouldn't come through until about Thursday as I think you have to redeem them for it to count. They have live videos from each date with the song you see, and the most recent dates are of course not ready. But my main point is that I'm not surprised they haven't turned up on Itunes yet.
  24. I haven't even heard Beyonce's new single and I'm always listening to Radio 1/ Radio 2 or have 4music on. Actually, I caught the start I think but it sounded really average. Also, that infinity song is bloody awful. I was starting to like dance msuic a little more until I heard that tripe.
  25. I dunno how I feel about them doing another cover. But charity I suppose. A surprise of their good ol' friend Rod jumping on stage on the night, perhaps?
