  1. Hopefully McFly will continue to climb the itunes chart! They do have a little bit of promotion going on and radio 1's live lounge should help. I wont be downloading the song myself, will be waiting for the cd single. I haven't even heard the new KOL song. *Searches youtube*.

I'm extremely glad McFly have decided to release this. This is more like it. I still can't understand why they chose to release One For The Radio. Is was, in my opinion, the worst song on the free album not including The Heart Never Lies which just didn't fit being placed on the album, and even Tom from the band has admitted himself he believes it is one of the worst and that they only released it 'because it had a statement'. Hopefully Lies will do really well :) It deserves to, I'm loving it. EDIT: I meant Tom said OFTR is one of the worst on the album, not THNL

Gosh, just watched that S Club Juniours - Puppy Love. Haven't watched that for years. I used to like S Club 8 actually. Have to laugh about it now, a slight bit.

Not only because of that, That would be sad. It would make me look like a bit of a loner.

I think one thing I like about McFly is that they are evidently very good friends, as are several other bands, and you can tell that they aren't ones for packing it in any time soon due to hating each other and hating being around each other. Also, Lies is my new favourite song. It's worth a listen. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=_nrUBB7eZ0k

The media as a whole seems to be liking them a bit more than they used to after having shoved the Record Label. Interesting little piece from the Daily Star: MCFLY have revealed the real reason they dumped their record company – bosses wanted to turn them into a chill-out act. The pop foursome, who are heading for No 1 with the first single on their own newly-started label, refused to get serious. Frontman Tom Fletcher told me: “We felt that we had creative differences and in terms of the record label that we were just going through the motions. “It was the same cycle every time you release a single or album. “We always wanted to be bigger and better and we never felt that we had achieved our true potential so we felt that we could get closer to achieving that on our own. “They (Universal) wanted to take us in a direction that we really didn’t want to go in. “They wanted us to be a bit more chilled-out and more subdued, but that is not who we are. “We like having a laugh and felt we were being pushed in a direction that we really didn’t want to go in.” Single One For The Radio isn’t even the best track on their new album Radio:Active, reckons Tom. He continued: “We have got much better songs but we felt that this one had a bit of a statement. “Once you have finished making an album it is handed over to your record label, who then control how it is marketed. “We felt that we could create a better team of people that are really enthusiastic.” Obviously a lot of people will listen to their new album with the Mail on Sunday too. Do people reckon they might shove that teenage girl image they have a little? Thing is though, yes, they've left the label that made them do stupid text deals with most recently about 18 available at once, made them release a greatest hits album and all the other stupid stuff, but this week McFly on their own have decided to go for the 3 for £4 deal, making them still look desperate. I actually think that although the single has done well so far airplay wise and midweek chart, although OFTR makes a statement they should have gone for another song. Some McFly fans really let the whole fanbase down though. I remember seeing some girl on the North West news screaming her heart out and crying like a baby when she looked about 18. She then started screaming "DOUGIE SAID HE LOVED ME HE SAID HE LOVED ME AND TOUCHED MY ARM OMG!" That was almost enough to put anyone off being a fan. Though those news articles etc. always like to film the overly crazy ones, annoyingly.
  7. I think the fact the album is out next week will help keep this from dropping a little as they'll promote it as they promote the album, and the promotion for the album starts on like...Saturday? Could be earlier actually.

Thats not something you can use against. If Take That didn't do as much promotion thats their fault.

    I sort of agree.
  10. Nobody i've seen on any McFly forum etc, has bought every version of the download, that is just stupid as there are so many. The most someone has bought i've seen is 4 different downloads. McFly downloads, this time round, are either £1 mobile, 75p online for the song, THNL live from the place the buyer went to and a backstage video from that place, £1 for a best bits video of all backstage parts from each venue which most people just went for and a £2 download of THNL with 2 B Sides, Umbrella and Just My Luck, and an interview. These could also be bought cheaper with a credit card as far as I know. All I'm saying is that the McFly fans get more for their money. 75p for just the same song edited slightly, and people are buying more than one of these a lot? Or is there really B Sides etc that come with these downloads that I'm not aware of? Not sure if I explained that all correctly, was quite rushed.
  11. I personally feel the complete opposite way to you haha.

Why do you hate it? Its amazing!
  14. Good idea of a poll. I had to think quite hard about a few.
  15. Exactly. I'd respect them if their songs were original and rubbish, but to be covers and rubbish is too far. Shaun The Sheep should release the same week and beat them like Bob The Builder.
  16. I remember when Westlife won the last aired show, can you believe that out of Westlife and McFly's fans, the Westlife fans went over to McFly's forums and tried to bully everyone. Anyway... I think the Spice Girls will knock off Leona, unfortunatly. As much as I hate the Leona song, it beats the new Spice Girls one by miles. But just like people buy Leona because of the X Factor, people will buy Spice because they're the Spice Girls. And Leona's sales would have gone down a lot by then.

Some nice effects on there! Well done, I like it.

Okay, perhaps I'll stick to my McFly one then. Hearing that I supose it would be hard to keep mine unlike anyone elses tries. I think I've done a pretty good job anyway, compared to the c**p covers they've sometimes ended up with.

    Thankyou :D
  20. I don't really think Leona is going to sell as many as the news websites are expecting she may as I believe the buying and downloading would have calmed down a lot. Not sure of my exact prediction.
  21. Seeing as the last single, the one that broke the record for the biggest fall from number 1 sort of, was the 4th single from their album, I don't think this one will fall too much. I'm guessing about number #12.

Heres my crappy try at a McFly single cover. It is my first try. http://i20.tinypic.com/2m6wjn8.png I might change it to a Leona one just for the fact its probably easier.

They're all brilliant! I'd have a try but...I don't know maybe I should, seeing as I have nothing else to do.
  24. I can see why McFly fans buy all versions once, because for a pound for the song and about 2 extras, one being a video, its kind of worth it. But just the song for like 75p in different versions? Buying more than once? I never knew Take That fans were so bad with money wasting.
