Even others things like Tom's creative wedding speech and baby announcement have won them fans! Definitely agree about Busted there though. They split when they were still on a high and now all those fans from back then are in their 20s and feeling nostalgic. McFly had always been known as an uncool copycat of Busted that would 'split up by next year' until they didn't and just kept going and going. Their decade celebrations brought a lot of publicity and strangely they're now referred to as 'veterans' despite Dougie still only being 25! But through just sticking together and coming across as really down to earth on those reality shows they've won a whole lot of respect. I do still think the timing of this was off, I would have prefered album 6 from McFly before all of this kicked off, but I can't deny that its going to help sales.

A lot of people have been tweeting good things about them. I've seen Ed Sheeran, One Direction, Little Mix, James Arthur, Michael Ball... a random bunch more! I can't believe 'McBusted' has been trending on and off every day since Monday.

What a fab end to their 10th anniversary year that would be!

Its so weird, I remember writing a story about Busted in the Year 3000 when I was in year 4, and now I work in a primary school... still love them! McBusted up to 39.

I'm slightly confused and annoyed by this. As a fan I know that an awful lot of us have been waiting 3 years for the new McFly album. Finally we started to get somewhere, after various delays pushing the album to next year, and all of a sudden the new single release is being interrupted by this? I was at the Royal Albert Hall when Busted jumped on stage and it was fantastic fun, but if anything is happening, apart from the CIN performance I hope its after the new album. I want McFly to tour Album 6 on their own and release their own singles, first.

I'm clearly very old fashioned but Love Is Easy was the first McFly track I didn't purchase - because it was download only.

I think it sounds amazing - so happy with the sound, just hope the studio version sounds as good or better. I love the 'hello' parts! I think it could do very well for being different.

Thats the one - almost 3 million views in 3 days, have heard radio presenters talking about it as well as the odd mention on This Morning etc. which are boosting it further. All About You is definitely the most memorable part so of course its had a huge boost, but the other tracks are also hanging around not too far behind. I've noticed the clip making it to US sites now as well, its well and truely a hit viral video!

I should think its more to do with the wedding speech!! EDIT: Combined with the ongoing Furniture Village sale.

McFly - Love Is Easy (Dougie Style) up to 26!!

Although its great, I'm sure I read once that if you buy 3 of the same single in different formats in one sale it only actually counted as one. Maybe that is total rubbish but it just sprang to mind and I'm sure some fans were trying to avoid it by buying them separately years ago.

I shouldn't think McFly are too upset about LIE falling down the chart because apparently they're top 10 in South America right now. :o & we say they've had no promotion here, don't think they've been over there for months & rarely ever anyway.

I just remembered McFly like to rely on their Twitter friends to promote their singles. Even Robbie Savage is asking his followers to buy LIE. :lol: When Harry was on Strictly, they had people from Harry Potter, Glee and One Direction asking their followers to vote for him. Sneaky. :heehee: EDIT: & to vote for Dougie as well on IAC.

Yeah it was Translyvania/ Baby's Coming Back in May 2007 I think from memory. t***** is a great song, though. It was off the album which had been out for quite a while by then, and even more strangely, Transylvania had been a B-Side on the Star Girl CD the year before. Baby's Coming Back was just a pointless cover they attached to it to make it a double A side. I'm not surprised it dropped so much the next week, it was odd that it got to No.1 in the first place at that point. I'm sure the release got delayed a lot as well.

My goodness I forgot about that as well. But again I don't think the single was mentioned! The book was though.

Haha oh yeah. :rolleyes: Harry was also on the red button for Strictly a few weeks ago. The more I think about it the more they've been on actually. :P Scott Mills' show on Radio 1 and Graham Norton's show on Radio 2 as well, although again the focus seemed to be elsewhere on the latter - there was a special play of 'Cherry Cola' from the Greatest Hits album.

The promo for McFly 's track has been rubbish, like someone said they've been on a lot of shows but the song has only been performed once. They've kept their faces on the telly through the Xtra Factor, Celebrity Juice, Mr & Mrs, Surprise, Surprise - basically the usual ITV rubbish, but thats all. Haven't managed to catch the music video on TV either yet, personally. I really wasn't expecting much from it. Much of the focus has been on the book and the greatest hits album with them as well, and that is what they promoted on Alan Carr's show.

Wow, shocked McFly fan here. I'm so old school that this is the first single I'm not going to get by them because I don't download songs! :P I usually buy every one of their CD singles! Just waiting for the album instead. I actually thought this song was going to flop so badly even though its nice.

4 McFly tracks in the top 1000. All About You is there twice because of the Thank you Oxfam moment.

I really don't see the sense in Dougie going from one extreme to the other, getting back up on stage like that so soon.

That's the Truth should have been released by McFly after thier tour. The promo has been terrible, and it doesn't help when one of the members is in rehab. Plus, they should have picked Nowhere Left to Run. I will never forgive them if its not next.
