McFly - Love Is Easy (Dougie Style) up to 26!!

A bit behind here but wow at McFly holding on in the top 40 at 33. Hope their show before the X Factor final helps boost it a little - although I'm guessing that it will drop out of the top 40 next week and return the week after if thats the case? The album certainly needs a boost, it seems.

Although its great, I'm sure I read once that if you buy 3 of the same single in different formats in one sale it only actually counted as one. Maybe that is total rubbish but it just sprang to mind and I'm sure some fans were trying to avoid it by buying them separately years ago.

I think McFly's greatest hits album could be massive. Saw the news today that ITV have signed them for a special to air before the X Factor final next month - and they're performing on the Strictly final. Great news all round for them.

I shouldn't think McFly are too upset about LIE falling down the chart because apparently they're top 10 in South America right now. :o & we say they've had no promotion here, don't think they've been over there for months & rarely ever anyway.

I just remembered McFly like to rely on their Twitter friends to promote their singles. Even Robbie Savage is asking his followers to buy LIE. :lol: When Harry was on Strictly, they had people from Harry Potter, Glee and One Direction asking their followers to vote for him. Sneaky. :heehee: EDIT: & to vote for Dougie as well on IAC.

Yeah it was Translyvania/ Baby's Coming Back in May 2007 I think from memory. t***** is a great song, though. It was off the album which had been out for quite a while by then, and even more strangely, Transylvania had been a B-Side on the Star Girl CD the year before. Baby's Coming Back was just a pointless cover they attached to it to make it a double A side. I'm not surprised it dropped so much the next week, it was odd that it got to No.1 in the first place at that point. I'm sure the release got delayed a lot as well.

My goodness I forgot about that as well. But again I don't think the single was mentioned! The book was though.

Haha oh yeah. :rolleyes: Harry was also on the red button for Strictly a few weeks ago. The more I think about it the more they've been on actually. :P Scott Mills' show on Radio 1 and Graham Norton's show on Radio 2 as well, although again the focus seemed to be elsewhere on the latter - there was a special play of 'Cherry Cola' from the Greatest Hits album.

The promo for McFly 's track has been rubbish, like someone said they've been on a lot of shows but the song has only been performed once. They've kept their faces on the telly through the Xtra Factor, Celebrity Juice, Mr & Mrs, Surprise, Surprise - basically the usual ITV rubbish, but thats all. Haven't managed to catch the music video on TV either yet, personally. I really wasn't expecting much from it. Much of the focus has been on the book and the greatest hits album with them as well, and that is what they promoted on Alan Carr's show.

Wow, shocked McFly fan here. I'm so old school that this is the first single I'm not going to get by them because I don't download songs! :P I usually buy every one of their CD singles! Just waiting for the album instead. I actually thought this song was going to flop so badly even though its nice.

4 McFly tracks in the top 1000. All About You is there twice because of the Thank you Oxfam moment.

I really don't see the sense in Dougie going from one extreme to the other, getting back up on stage like that so soon.

Expect it again now the EP has just been released (late for some reason!)

That's the Truth should have been released by McFly after thier tour. The promo has been terrible, and it doesn't help when one of the members is in rehab. Plus, they should have picked Nowhere Left to Run. I will never forgive them if its not next.

I think it should, even these days when downloads are the way. I hope that by going top 40 it'll boost downloads next week (seeing as, especially with EP problems added to it, the downloads are unlikely to boost enough this week to make an impact).

McFly - That's the Truth EP release seems to be on hold.

Someone said Harry told them they were visiting Dougie the next day after the Bolton gig. I guess they are there, then. Some people have received their pre-order CDs already so obviously its too late to delay that. Sounds like this release is very messed up. As long as they put Dougie's health first.

I can't check, so is the album version album only now?

McFly are so caught up in this Dougie thing that they haven't even told everyone on Twitter that the single is out yet. Seem to have forgotten.

I can't even predict whats going to happen with the single now. Especially with this whole Dougie thing. It could affect all of the promo etc, but it could gain public interest into the single too. Weird situation.

Dougie's been in rehab for weeks, the papers have only just found out/ printed the story.

McFly will get some unwanted extra promo for That's the Truth tomorrow when the news gets about that Dougie McFly is in rehab.
