McFly - That's the Truth [OUT NOW]
Its at #55 now! Hopefully it'll keep climbing and end up top 40 soon.

McFly - That's the Truth [OUT NOW]
That's the Truth was at #64 when I last looked. That's better!

Dougie doesn't sound good at all judging by that. They really cannot afford to not record Let's Dance - they really, really need the promotion. If that gets cancelled, then yes, I would say they should cancel the single.

I know I probably mention the track far too much, but I hope if this does happen, it doesn't put them off from releasing Nowhere Left to Run. Hoping it does get top 40. If it manages to chart, maybe it'll benefit from all of the chart hits playing on music channels and Radio 1. Hopefully that would allow it to rise. Really have my fingers crossed.

Why do you say that?

McFly - That's the Truth [OUT NOW]
Also, I think there will be some more promotion added if they think the single needs it. No doubt they'll be on the local radios etc. while they tour the country, and with them playing arenas it should help with promo too.

McFly - That's the Truth [OUT NOW]
Maybe it will be good if they add it last minute, because then when its official release date is passed, the hype will still be there?

McFly - That's the Truth [OUT NOW]
A new song would be nice, of course. But if any song could leave this album with a hit, and seal it as a memorable moment of their career, NLTR is it. I'm 98% sure.

Radio 1 Playlist (16/02/11)
Still no McFly... Having said that, its on the Radio 2 playlist.

Danny's choice to put his Nowhere Left to Run remix on this singles CD2 actually really worries me. I will never forgive them if they don't release Nowhere Left to Run, seriously.

iTunes Chart: February 2011 (I)
I find it really amusing that Star Girl by McFly is in the top 1000 every week (its at #500 or something like that right now). Chris Moyles has really made the track a 'classic' because of him constantly playing it now for something like 2 years. Wonder what the total sales are now.

McFly - Shine A Light is now at #39 so back in the top 40. Wonder if it'll go any higher - although I guess its too late to jump top 40 in the chart again this week.

McFly could rise later, their first performance/ promo piece of That's the Truth is tonight on Comedy Rocks. ITV1 are advertising their appearance a lot

McFly - That's The Truth
Someone above asked about sales outside of the UK - dunno exact sales or anything but I know their singles/ albums have been doing very well in Brazil and Portugal. Not sure if that means much. Also, about the record label - its a very odd deal. I think Universal only profit from concerts and gigs, so it doesn't matter how much their albums sell etc. as long as they keep selling enough concert tickets. McFly profit from the singles etc. but they also profit from the Super City website they have created and its subscription payments - which is why Universal allowed them to release tracks for free on there. Radio 1 - well I don't know why its not made their playlist yet like the last 2 tracks. Radio 1 can add tracks late, though. We shall see.

Thanks for this. I agree about Radio 1, seems a bit odd. I would think it will be added at some point! Do you not think they will perform on the actual Comic Relief? Like I think you said before? I'd hope so - not only because of their love for the charity but lets face it, it would be good promotion. So, with it being performed tomorrow, should we expect a good rise? I'm not sure what the viewing figures are like for Comedy Rocks. Not too high I should think, but it is ITV1 and it is a Friday night!

Might help it leaving it until closer to the summer, actually. Fingers crossed its next. That's the Truth keeps bouncing up and down between about #189 to #240 which is good. Once the promotion kicks in I'm hoping for a good run. Think its gathering a similar audience to Shine a Light, actually. Different though with it being on the album and therefore already hanging around on Itunes.

McFly - That's the Truth [OUT NOW]
I think once That's the Truth makes it to the top 40, Above the Noise's sales will rise towards the top 40 too. I hope so anyway. I caught That's the Truth at #208 at one point yesterday. Fingers crossed it'll go top 200 soon and then keep on rising. I'm not sure if Above the Noise will ever capture the audience enough to be a hit, though. To be honest, it is quite a mix anyway. Even That's the Truth is a little different to the last 2 singles but still has that commercial sound to it which helps. I don't think the new fans buying Shine a Light etc. will enjoy tracks such as 'The End of the World' quite so much. I'd rather they try and release as many tracks as possible from the album, and then by looking at the success (acknowledging how Shine a Light did better than Party Girl for example, which I'm sure That's the Truth will do too) they should select a more defined sound for themselves. Of course they should still experiment, and always aim to do better, but now they have 'Super City' and have had considerable success on the charts compared to recent years, I think they have the best opportunity yet to get things completely right next time. Not to say Above the Noise is bad. There are some fantastic tracks for the guys, and That's the Truth is definitely one of them. Its just to much of a mix and I think it seems just a little too easy to pick the best 4 songs to release. That's different to their last 4 albums which always had me confident that any track would do (except the odd one or two!), if that makes sense. The sound was definitely more defined. Ok, so Room of the Third floor was a little like Above the Noise in terms of album tracks/ singles being easy to pick out, but it was their first one. Haven't felt so confident about the guys since Wonderland though, seriously. Great days ahead, I think.

McFly up to 231 with That's the Truth. Obviously not lots, but its edging its way up to the top 200. Still more than a month away from its proper release.

McFly - That's The Truth
A friend of mine has been complaining that the song has been following her. Apparently its always on the music channels and radio already. Hope that is true, and that it gets A Listed on Radio 1.

I don't like her either.
