RuPaul's Drag Race · General Discussion Thread
Seven is actually my favourite season.. the cast is stacked! Six of them made the final of either their series or an All Star series, when you add Katya, Trixie and Kennedy to the actual finalists, that's something I can't imagine season 8 for example will ever be able to say.

The Apprentice
The right person went. Charles has problems but wasn't at fault for the failure, the project manager was accused of not being able to make decisions... then floundered on his decision in front of Lord Sugar... bye!

RuPaul's Drag Race • All Stars 3
Sure.. and I think they are both great. But I was responding to the idea that she was only picked because of Ben and not for talent.. she made top 4!

RuPaul's Drag Race • All Stars 3
Juuuuuust a quick reminder that Darienne outlasted Dela.. and if we're being honest beat her in two lipsyncs! (I prefer Dela, but IJS... I'm just saying.. I think Darienne is crazy funny. If her runways have improved she could be a force)

Radio 1 Playlist (21/07/17)
So annoyed they've removed Blonde! Had given up hope on Nick Jonas but maybe based on the Vamps I should check back in two months! Love Told You So and great to see Paramore supported but I'd rather they were releasing Rose Colored Boy!

RuPaul's Drag Race Season 9
For me, the reason it was the correct decision is two fold: 1) Trinity was good.. but she looked really similar to how she did in her LAST Britney lip sync, she dropped to her knees in the same way, she did the same forward roll. It was strong, and she was beating Pep, but it was a repeat. Coupled with 2) the absolute GAG of Pep's reveal - surely the strongest of all time, I literally screamed - which was strong enough to shoot her into the lead and take it. It wasn't even a question for me, she stole the scene in that there moment even if she wasn't the most consistent all song. Sasha.. not my preferred winner, and in fact my fourth preference, but she killed it on the night and her track record, especially that outside of her wins when she was nearly always high - made her deserving. I do think Shea was being really on point in her response to the music but Sasha was superb during So Emotional. The final lip sync was closer, both were really strong throughout, but I can see why it went to Sasha. It might be flawed but what is exciting about it is it means the winner can't be predicted based on stats - weren't we all saying 'oh we know Shea will win, she has four wins' as if it'd be boring? Well, they didn't serve you that.. a really exciting finale!

RuPaul's Drag Race Season 9
I wouldn't have been mad to see Peppermint go based on record before the episode. I WOULD have been mad to see Peppermint go based on record after that episode.. she didn't put a single manicured nail wrong. Great result, great top 4 :D

RuPaul's Drag Race season 9 top 4: VOTE
Voted for Shea but would genuinely be happy for any of them! Sasha would be my least preferred. And much as I like Pep I know she has no chance. What I guess I am saying is a Trinity win would be OK by me!

RuPaul's Drag Race: All Star DREAMS
For me the absolute must have is Shangela! Assuming it'd be 10.. Shangela Trixie Mattel Ongina Joslyn Fox Ben DeLaCreme Kennedy Davenport Chi Chi DeVayne Thorgy Thor Valentina Trinity Taylor (assuming she doesn't win)

RuPaul's Drag Race Season 9
Just rewatching it and props to Alexis for the line of the episode tbh. 'He said Dick AND Dyke!'. I screamed! (Honourable mention to 'but how will i seem like a strong woman?' '..... vote, bitch'. Shady of the editors to leave in the bit where Nina said she was the first to ever walk backwards on the runway.. three weeks after Trinity did it.

RuPaul's Drag Race Season 9
I think people are doing way too much with Alexis, and I think the show made too big a deal that she could be bottom two, too. She was fifth, but she was a COMFORTABLE fifth. She was perfectly good in the challenge, not standing out doesn't mean she was a disaster, and we had a group of two on our hands that was. For me it was a really obvious bottom two, with a justified top two, and then a middle group where two could have had an argument for being high and one very clearly safe. Someone messaged Michelle 'demanding' to know what went on and she just went 'ummm, did you WATCH the episode?'. It spoke for itself on all counts, imo.

RuPaul's Drag Race Season 9
I thought this was one of the weaker episodes but I have a soft spot for Pep so I was very happy for her win. I have a feeling this could see her push on for the final three now. Farrah.. it was her damn but she is just so damn likeable.. the final thing we see of her being a whine was so apt! Alexis... today was a no. I DO still think she's there on merit and I think we may get a few more weeks of her, though. She's my least favourite despite the talent as there is so little warmth. I pretty much really like the final 7 bar Alexis though. Aja and Farrah going was, tbh, the right people. Sasha is doing really well and growing on me. 01. Shea - Surely one of the most consistent queens of all time. Is she bad at anything? 02. Peppermint - Just so lovely and smashed it in every way this week. 03. Valentina - Hard to hate, I loved her little 'HEY!' reaction to being read. 04. Trinity - Disappointing today, the most inconsistent - but last week (I didn't comment) stays in my mind, so good. 05. Nina - I kind of prefer her just reacting to other people's shade rather than taking centre stage? 06. Sasha - but growing on me by the week. --- 07. Alexis Ross was great. Love that Michelle not knowing she was the roastee seemed genuine. Plus points in a weaker ep!

Paramore - After Laughter
Best song of the year so far.

RuPaul's Drag Race Season 9
Aww Miss Eureka, consistently been one of my favourites and glad to see her getting a really favourable edit in this episode, the laughing and joking with Todrick really got me, she looked so happy. I am so sad we are losing her but you can't really do all the things a Drag Queen should on crutches. Plus, this way we will potentially get more episodes out of her overall. Her video on the Logo website about the exit is the sweetest too. Yas queen! Miss Cynthia.. I absolutely live for her as boy and in natural drag setting like when Ru asked if her selfie would feature her cucu, and taking the mick out of Aja. But not knowing the words to TWO lipsyncs in ONE episode is inexcusable. She was so so lucky to make it through. Actually so was Farrah. I have come to realise that lovely as she is, she offers next to nothing. The least of anyone. I loved her absolutely sobbing as Eureka left but you can't win DR by being a lovely human. I thought this was a great episode, and if Cynthia had known the words than the musical would have rewatch value. Weird as she was on point with her steps. So weird that we got a full runway, some workroom apologies/chats, a mini challenge and the episode didn't feel rushed! Best one yet. Overall: 01 (01) Shea - Absolutely cemented this this week, I finally have a clear frontrunner, especially with Eureka gone. Killed it in both parts. (Eureka :() 02 (03) Valentina - Even when she doesn't have an episode full of moments, she still manages to shine. 03 (06) Peppermint - I've realised she is one of the best talking heads, love the faces she pulls. Great Britney, just no more pink skirts! 04 (04) Trinity - Didn't love much from her this week, middle of the pack. Inconsistent but can be great. 05 (05) Nina - Would be in the top three but for her attitude, so offputting. She is only harming herself, there were 11 people in the room, you had no divine right to be Blac Chyna and then certainly no place to be rude to a choreographer/judge because you were in a mood. Liked her runway look though. 06 (07) Cynthia - Still a soft spot for Cucu even though she disappointed me. Her Kim still made me LOL at points and I liked her runway. 07 (10) Alexis - PROPS for that Kris Jenner, was absolutely superb, even in moments she wasn't front and centre. The Untucked rant wasn't cute, and a big NO to her telling Farrah she couldn't go practice, but she climbs on merit. 08 (08) Sasha - Her Lindsay was at times funny, but her chat in Untucked about she should be registering higher, bitch you won last week! She just doesn't really connect with me. 09 (11) Aja - To be fair, she grew on me massively this week. Not even sure why, but I'm glad as I now like all the queens. 10 (09) Farrah - I've just had to realise she has nothing but a pleasant look to offer. I like that beyond Shea, who knows who will make the finale!

RuPaul's Drag Race Season 9
Yeah, unbelievably awkward. Was a real shame. 01 (03) Shea - Consistent queen. 02 (02) Eureka - Not a great episode for her personality, but she worked the challenge tbh. 03 (01) Valentina - Very pedestrian episode for her. 04 (07) Trinity - Every week a jump... she was very disappointing this episode until THAT. LIP. SYNC. yes! 05 (04) Nina - Something is off with her. The crying was just bizarre. And that did not give me nightie at all. But I still want to love her! 06 (05) Peppermint - Still like HER but heavily disappointing this week. That outfit. Very lucky to be saved. 07 (11) Cynthia - My Queen of the week, just so likable with her natural personality, I lived for her this week. PLEASE KEEP IT UP. 08 (09) Sasha 09 (08) Farrah - Was she even in this episode? 10 (10) Alexis - Consistently safe, but consistently boring. I saw a YouTube video of Charlie and Alexis and i LOVED that Alexis, but I haven't seen her on the show. 11 (12) Aja - She looked a BIT better but still not feeling her look. Glad she readjusted her attitude a little.

RuPaul's Drag Race Season 9
I enjoyed some of that episode but it feels like we haven't had a very meaty challenge yet. I hope next week will change that. The Pulse talk was really saddening, I feel so bad for Cynthia the weight she must have on her shoulders that someone went there only to see her :( In terms of the actual challenge, I largely agreed with the winners/losers. Based just on that, Trinity > Valentina > Eureka > Charlie > Peppermint > Sasha > Nina > Cynthia > Shea > Alexis > Kimora > Farrah > Aja. Valentina continues to surprise me with her comedy, her sidekick was hilarious. Trinity the same, I just did not expect this of her pre-season. Charlie and Eureka's also really made me laugh. Farrah by rights should have been bottom two, as all three of the bottom three had woeful sidekicks, but Farrah is just adorbs so I don't mind. Of the three she did give me princess the most and both her and Kimora still looked gorgeous. Aja is just a complete mess to look at, her story made no sense and she makes one weird face constantly for her 'comedy'. That said, she absolutely destroyed Kimora. Partly because of how poor Kimora was, but she was good. Not Chi Chi, Kennedy, Trinity, Coco level, but good. Overall now: 01 (04) Valentina - How can you argue, she's slaying. 02 (05) Eureka - I'm sorry, I love her. Helpful friendly queen! And her dog sidekick gave me life. 03 (02) Shea 04 (01) Nina - I still love her but I was a bit put off this week by the killjoy approach in Untucked, and also I thought the voguing as an alien was just a bit of a bizarre choice. It's hard to stan when you hardly see someone too. 05 (03) Peppermint 06 (06) Charlie - I think she was both stunning and funny but I really like my top 5! 07 (09) Trinity - Growing on me every episode.. total unexpected package 08 (11) Farrah - Personality based rise. 09 (10) Sasha 10 (07) Alexis - She gives me polished but she isn't wow-ing me. 11 (08) Cynthia - No beef with her and I loved 'c'mon English lessons' and her story, but she just isn't exciting. 12 (12) Aja Could all change next week ;)

The Buzzjack Friday Chart Show Thread- 7th April 2017
Bizarre, to me it is everything in that genre done RIGHT. It's like an Alessia song - something of substance up until the chorus - with a GORGEOUS vocal and a really interesting chorus and breakdown. It's a classy version of a Chainsmokers song, showing them how it's done, in my opinion. I'm absolutely chuffed it's top 10!

The Voice UK - Series 6
Personally I think with the right material Jamie was the star. I almost thought he could tip over Mo and win it. In fact I hoped any of the other three finalists as I bet on them all

RuPaul's Drag Race Season 9
Okay so before episode three, here's how I rank them 01. Nina Bo'Nina Brown - Definitely the most creative/variety-showing of them all so far and can be so funny. Love her so far. 02. Shea Coulee - The most consistent across the two weeks and smashed the athleticism. One to watch/beat. 03. Peppermint - Just so lovely. I can see she hasn't shown much variety in her looks but I think she looked stunning. 04. Valentina - The surprise, as she irritated me a bit in Untucked last week. I can see the cute schtick getting a little old but there's no denying she smashed this week, looked gorgeous and massively surprised me by bringing personality to the challenge. 05. Eureka - She clearly talks too much and is abrasive but I do think she has talent to back it up and will excel in acting challenges etc. 06. Charlie Hides - Looked stunning on the runway, I hope she doesn't try and blame her age too much. Hope we get to see her funny side soon. 07. Alexis Michelle - Was not a fan of the way she spoke to Jaymes but she seems seasoned and polished generally. I liked her white look. 08. Cynthia Lee Fontaine - Seems to have stepped up her game from last season, the Cucu thing is annoying but she is harmless I think. 09. Trinity Taylor - She was my week one boot from the promos, I was surprised how much she impressed me this week. LOL at her saying she hated heights then being the girl ending up on the ceiling. 10. Sasha Velour - I think she has bags of potential and I actually really liked her look this week, with wig, even though Raja and Raven ragged on it. But I think she has more up her sleeve than we've been allowed to see yet. 11. Farrah Moan - Glimmers of potential, and seemed fairly sweet in Untucked S1, but made little impact, (Jaymes - showed little excellence but still :() 12. Aja - I still haven't been convinced that she is a polished queen. 13. Kimora Blac - I enjoyed her bitchy boy 'what are bloomers? it sounds disgusting' better than any drag she's done.

RuPaul's Drag Race Season 9
I've watched Untucked and the carpool videos and now I feel ready to give some kind of order 01. Nina Bo'nina Brown 02. Peppermint 03. Shea Coulee 04. Eureka O'Hara 05. Alexis Michelle 06. Jaymes Mansfield 07. Charlie Hides 08. Farrah Moan 09. Sasha Velour 10. Valentina 11. Trinity Taylor 12. Kimora Blac 13. Aja I do think both Sasha and Valentina are better queens than some above them, but I haven't warmed to their personalities yet. Conversely, Jaymes is far worse but I'm rooting for her.

RuPaul's Drag Race Season 9
I watched it again and came out with Peppermint, Eureka, Alexis and Nina as favourites.

RuPaul's Drag Race Season 9
I took it as confirmation it was Cynthia too, especially being shot 'from the Cucu'. Thought the first episode was a bit underwhelming but the first episode is always hard as you don't know anyone yet.. looking forward to watching again. Gaga was wonderful.

The Voice UK - Series 6
Gavin's team was probably strongest yet and any number could have made it. I would have gone with Max, Truly and Keziah based on last night, but Sarah does have a nice voice. The only one I can't fathom from Will's is Jason getting through, he absolutely ruined Into You. Michelle and Tanya were both great. Of the final 12 I'm feeling 01. Jamie 02. Into The Ark 03. Max 04. Michelle 05. Mo 06. Tanya
