Rupaul's Drag Race: Queen Rate - Results
This rate is fascinating me! I didn't vote this time but it's incredible to see queens like Phi Phi, Roxxy and Darienne below people like LaShawn! Darienne would be right up there for me, though some of her outfits were dire (harder to dress a 'big girl' IMO), her challenges were often really really great and underrated. Glad to see Laila do quite well! PS. I know I'm well late.

01 (03) Aubrey O'Day - Just LOVE her, she's nearly always in the right, she's cute, she's funny, she's sassy. Perfect. 02 (02) Frankie Grande - Almost as wonderful, a slight kiss ass but in general I have loved him 03 (01) Katie Waissel - Don't like her any less, think she is adorbs (if a bit wet) but nowhere near as central as 01 and 02. Her Diary Room about them f-*-*-*-*-ng though was amazing. 04 (05) Renee Graziano - She loses her cool so much and I think she talks so much rubbish but I still love her! 05 (06) Ricky Norwood - Fine 06 (04) Sam Fox - Fine 07 (13) James Whale - Liking him much more. Some of his diary room commentary great. Love that he thinks he will win! 08 (15) Heavy D - Still awful but less awful than he was. I much prefer him slotted into the main group though he is still fairly unbearable. -- It's hard for me to decide at this point --- 09 (09) Lewis Bloor - I considered putting him bottom, his ego is too much! Saying that all the votes to save Marnie were 'a vote to save Lewis and Marnie' - jog on pal 10 (10) Marnie Simpson - Awful, fancy not knowing what they did wrong that night, they were bullies. 11 (14) Stephen Bear - Not buying this 'it hurts that nobody likes me and they talk about me when I walk out' - DON'T BE AN ANTAGONSTIC KNOB THEN

Rupaul's Drag Race · Season 8
Completely agree that this was one of my favourite episodes of the entire series. Puppets was hilarious, they did not hold back! I fell properly back in love with Bob this week... not just for the story about his Mum, I think he's had a few weeks now where he has started to become warmer. Yeah they're probably editing the journey but it's working for me, I think of the four, she is the star. I do agree the drag is often not as up to scratch as the remaining three, but as stated they all have a talent and Bob's comedy is just as valid as Kim's paint for me. As he attested to in the workroom, it's not like his make up and costumes are BAD (though his Mum outfit was quite weak), it's just not the number one focus of his performance. I also feel like even though I agreed Bob was bottom two based on the looks (not based on the performance where she was the star), I think she was just unlucky that the others were so great. Derrick was in the bottom two because she looked terrible, Bob was there because she just wasn't quite as strong. It's a shame when people fall into the bottom two without even being bad, the eleganza cardboard dress was great for me. Anyway, alls well that ends well. I was panicked Derrick would turn the lip sync but she was messy as all hell. Like, really bad. And Bob confidently smashed it. No other outcome they could have had. It's tough now, with Derrick and Robbie gone the series is suddenly looking really strong again what with Naomi really picking up the pace and Chi Chi having a good week. I really like all four and wouldn't begrudge any winning though I am firmly Team Bob again. PS. Did I make it up or did Derrick make a slight about people not winning a challenge? He was the last to actually win one no? The other four have all picked up victories before..

Rupaul's Drag Race · Season 8
This is very much a Katya situation for me. Definitely one of my favourites of the series (Thorgy too) but if you have a week where you are among the weakest in the challenge and then you lose the lip sync, you go home. That's just the way it is. So I'm sad to see Thorgy out and I really thought she would be top 3. But 30 pages of writing for that ad (at least Kim's had some landed jokes) and to be town to shreds in the lip sync (even though she still wasn't bad) - I can't argue with that result based on the week. Bob might be getting a favourable edit, but again, can you argue with him winning?

Shicked at that! Would have thought both top 3. Latrice I adore, Bianca I went to see recently and is excellent. Has to be Alaska now, though I'm delighted for Juju

The X Factor ● Series 12 ● Live Show 1
I thought it was a bit of a mixed bag - some really strong performances, others not! The whole This Is Me theme where they didn't pick their songs was silly though. Would rank as follows: 01. Monica - Really surprised me. Her control was incredible, she placed every note to perfection - clever song choice being Sheeran but not obvi-Sheeran. Smashed it exactly when she needed to. Really didn't see her as cold either, thought she seemed very warm and grateful. 02. Louisa - The other person who smashed it. Some of the notes it seemed a bit like she was guessing haha but was still a superb vocal on a usually boring song. 03. 4th Impact - I think they are just so cute and clearly talented but it is doing my nut in that they are just described as perfect with no sign of constructive criticism. They are so so breathy on the verses, it's only the big notes that are 'wow'. It made me LOL that one line was 'I get a little bit breathless' - it was apt. 04. Alien Uncovered - Not perfect but thought they gave a good account of themselves Some decent vocals, a fun rap, good performance values, passion. I hope they survive this week at least. 05. Max - Don't get me wrong, the reggae was terrible and as if Cheryl was the only one who said so. It has worried me as I really love his voice and he TOOK it there on the last chorus but the arrangement would have been better left as is. Still, ace vocal. 06. Che - Why on earth were these two songs mashed up? What has a love that can overcome mountains have to do with tears drying on their own? Stupid. I wouldn't have minded one line of it as a nod but they did too much. Plus Ain't No Mountain instantly makes it karaoke, it's almost impossible not to. Would have just preferred Amy, he sang and intonated it well. Can't argue with the vocal. 07. Lauren - Much like Che's ANM, this song choice just INSTANTLY makes you karaoke fodder. She did sing well but it made her forgettable when other people came in with genuine artistry. I think it'll see her through week one but it didn't make her stand out. 08. Seann - The vocal was miles ahead of some of the people above him but what was with the 'it needs to be a song, NOT cabaret' line, then THAT? Ridiculously cabaret - uncomfortably so on a show like this? The notes he hit for 'Mars' were impeccable but I just felt awkwardly about it. 09. Anton - Easily my least favourite and I thought the vocal was quite weak to begin but the toned down crazy eyes helped (there were still some) and the end was a very competent vocal. Simon's only okay song choice. 10. Kiera - She wasn't as bad as people have made out but it definitely wasn't a moment, where it could have been. On Xtra they showed a preview, she was just stood there with her afro singing first verse - sounded promising. But while she looked STUNNING she lost her identity, and the beats they added made the whole thing seem very generic and faceless. Could have been Tamera Foster, it wasn't the Kiera we have had thus far. 11. Mason - That was a pretty weak vocal. Great song choice but he was out of his depth. 12. Reggie and Bollie - They make me smile but are they really able to compete here? Not at all. Plus, they definitely were down to do Beautiful Girls, did ANYONE stick with the song Cheryl chose them?! 13. Bupsi - She was such a favourite of mine but not any longer. One of the weakest vocals, the novelty is gone, and a terrible song choice from Simon. For an unknown tune you have to be pretty much mindblowing. She was just fine. Almost certain bottom two. OUTCOME. I think Louisa, Che, Seann, Monica, Anton, 4th Impact are the six safest. Lauren had a few things against her but I think she'll survive. There are six around the danger zone - Reggie and Bollie, Alien, Bupsi, Mason, Max and Kiera. I reckon the two groups will be okay. I hope Max is. I have a feeling it could be Bupsi and Mason and it depends if they want to drag Bupsi through the competition to the tour - but if it's those two I suspect she'll go. If it's against Max or Kiera or Alien, she'd probably stay.

PREDICT: The Saturdays - Not Giving Up
People are properly underestimating this. Assuming they get good radio play, No.3.
-
One Direction - Little Things
I think it's very simply split into verses Verse 1 - Zayn (first four lines) Verse 2 - Liam Chorus - Harry (with Liam/Niall on harmony) Verse 3 - Louis Verse 4 - Harry Chorus - Harry Middle 8 - Niall Chorus - Harry Chorus repeat - All I actually really like it! I'm a big Ed Sheeran fan though so perhaps not a surprise. It's different for them which is nice. I agree it's risky but I think they mostly all sound great (Louis still sounds basic and grates in harmony too) but the others are brilliant, Niall's middle 8 is so simple but actually quite beautiful and he uses his voice in ways we might not have heard before for a couple of the notes..

RESULTS: Buzzjacks Ultimate X Factor Contestant
It's very likely to finish like that! Would love Alexandra to win though! But all three are great! Glad to see Ruth and Stacey doing well too!
-
Favourite X Factor winner?
Let It Snow, while Jonjo makes the point she can sing ballads well, and is arguably correct with the likes of 'Outta My Head' helping prove his point, and you say she can perform them well on tour, a statemet I also agree with to an extent, claiming she 'does them better than Alexandra' is laughable. Her video for Forgive Me and the uptempo X Factor performances she gave show that her grasp on choreography take her as far as walking forward, backwards, left and right, and moving her hips from side to side. Compare that to even the early Alexandra X Factor showings where she is singing extremely competently and pulling off complex choreography, and it's a no brainer! I know I'm a big Alexandra fan but I would agree with most of the country that Leona is a better vocalist. I think an even more significant proportion of the country though would agree that Alexandra performs uptempos much much better. I understand you have your opinions and Leona is a GREAT popstar and ambassador but I think this is a case of rose coloured glasses! On another front I'd stick up for Joe here and say he's my second or third favourite, with Leona being the other challenger.

Favourite X Factor winner?
It's not just that it's personality, it's that she has ALL bases covered. Nothing she can't do.. Alexandra. I like Leona, Shayne and Joe too though.

Buzzjack Ultimate Group THE RESULTS !
Not a bad final 3, just for me the three girls groups are the other way around. I don't think Girls Aloud are as strong as most people do, but I do like them.
-
Buzzjack Ultimate Group THE RESULTS !
COME ON THE SATURDAYS! The best all round girl group going - more vocally talented than either Girls Aloud or Spice Girls, more likeable at present than the Sugababes and with a more consistent standard of album than any of the others, Destiny's Child included! I know I'm odd to have Arctic Monkeys as my No.1 and the Saturdays as my No.2 but what can you do. They are absolutely BRILLIANT. As for those we've seen, did like S Club but they weren't as good as Steps IMO, Muse and Killers both produce wicked material, good to see them both do well... the ones outside the top 10 were a bit ??? t.A.T.u were very high, unexpectedly for me!
-
Buzzjack Ultimate Group THE RESULTS !
Whoop, my no.1 - Arctics are just bloody brilliant. Less so with the third album unfortunately, but musically, lyrically, vocally SUPERB. Glad to see Maroon 5 do well too, and my 12 year old self is happy for Steps!

Buzzjack Ultimate Group THE RESULTS !
I like the Veronicas but THAT high? Really? N-Dubz higher than I thought though I like them, glad the Script did well. Snow Patrol too low..
-
Buzzjack Ultimate Group THE RESULTS !
Lots of great ones just crashed out at once - Pendulum, Vampire Weekend, Mumford and Biffy! Not sure I voted for them all though, Biffy and Mumfords albums I only got in the last couple days. Great bands though!

BuzzJack Male Artist Showdown [RESULTS]
Thanks for doing so many! Not really THAT keen on many that remain. I guess I hope Eminem, Elton or Buble to win! Just had a bit of a 'hate zone' for me - HATE BONO, can well do without Mika, DID hate Adam Lambert until 'Whataya Want From Me' turned out to be amazing, still don't have a lot of love :P However, some great stuff too! Great to see Lemar still so high though I didn't vote him. Really glad to see these in the top 50: 36 James Morrison 39 Alex Turner 43 Adam Levine 45 Frankmusik 49 Kris Allen 50 Tinchy Stryder James, Alex and Adam I'm sure were all in my top 5 - brilliantly talented musicians, writers and vocalists, love them all dearly! Really pleased to see Kris and Frank doing so well against the odds too!
-
Who is the U.K's biggest female solo artist?
At the moment, if you look at their last eras and the singles and album sales it's generated, Alexandra is bigger than Leona. CURRENTLY. As a result, I'd say the top 5 would be (if we're including Florence) 01. Florence 02. Cheryl 03. Alexandra 04. Pixie 05. Leona Leona could easily turn it around though, and Alexandra and Pixie are night on inseperable.

BuzzJack Male Artist Showdown [RESULTS]
Jason might be a one hit wonder HERE but not the case in his homeland at all. He has three FANTASTIC albums, three live CDs, and is indeed one of the most fantastic songwriters, musicians and live vocalists in his country. Check him out, seriously!

BuzzJack Male Artist Showdown [RESULTS]
I actually quite like Bieber, whoops!

Popjustice Twenty Quid Music Prize
I am one for saying it's a deserving winner! SO pleased that there wasn't another 'let's give it to Xenomania, ESPECIALLY because one of their acts turned up' moment. Would have preferred Bad Boys to win, as you say Shoat that is a more definitive moment, but Kickstarts is a bloody good pop song and I'm kinda glad a male artist won!
