But they have said he is the best skater they ever had, in like week 2 - you can't expect improvement from that, what are they going to say? 'Well done Ray, you are now better than any of our professional skaters, NAY, better than any of US!!' It's not going to happen. The GBP never seems to recognise excellence if it doesn't show some sort of improvement.. well this was excellence from week one, so it was never going to have the same rate of improvement! Also, Ray had only skated a few times before the show, providing he isn't completely lieing - it's not like they took on a Torvill and Dean protegee - he just happened to be good at it!

Ray wasn't overmarked, he was a full four points lower than his best, which is probably valid for a couple of mistakes, but in general the standard of his actual skating was exceptional as ever

Yep great ending. loved that George changed the venue, loved Annie's new powers, loved the fact that Nina is about to join George in his lifestyle, loved the fact Owen is a mental!

I'm not sure about the best, Pandora and Freddie's episodes were the best for me I think but it was yet another top showing. It made me feel more sympathy for Emily than anyone though, Naomi is a bit too cold for me and I sometimes don't feel I can empathise, though I still like her. As if Cook would still be at school if he'd started an ACTUAL riot. Loving the Olivia Coleman role, she's always funny - with the baby 'Who are you? No, who is it?' I actually LOVE Emily.

Another absolutely great episode! I love how it goes from tense to humour, the best example in this episode being George hitting Seth, it being really important and then Annie asking how his hand is and George practically crying with pain! Just great! Didn't like the bad guy at the start of the series, as a character (obviously you're not supposed to like the baddie but I just found him pointless), but he had a real side role then. Now he's into it as a real central bad guy and the vampires are central to the plot, he's working alot better for me. LOVED Owen in this episode, his cockiness was excellent and what we didn't expect, and then the change in him right at the end, great work!

It was one of my favourite episodes too, I think Freddie is very likeable, his intentions are always very honourable (esp compared to his sister, who could barely dance, what was that about?!), and I like that we have a good guy (loving the image of him in his white bracelets and Effy in her black) Some great one liners - 'Don't you ever say c*nt and Oxfam in the same sentence again!!' (best ever?) and JJ in general 'Do you know what Naomi is backwards? I Moan.' I just chuffin love Skins, always!

I saw Benjamin Button this week and while it's a great little film, it doesn't compare to Slumdog, that MUST win!
  9. Serious?! It was getting loads of spins and doing well on promo with the Keisha duet, I really don't think Broken Strings would have done that much worse without the GA party.. I'm sure it helped but I think it would have still been a sizeable hit!

I can see them getting Alan Carr to do it next year.

The only ones of those I saw were Kylie (funny), Girls Aloud (good) and Estelle/Ting Tings. Now, I'm a big fan of both acts, it must be said, but I'm disappointed that some people are saying it is one of the worst Brits performances ever. When Estelle came out I did think 'I don't think this works' but from American Boy verse 2 onwards to That's Not My Name with Katie, Stell and Jules all doing different parts, I thought it was epic! I loved Kings of Leons performance for example, but it could have been the radio edit! I mean that's testemant to Caleb's cracking voice, but also it didn't make it as exciting as it couild have been with some adlibs or different melodies - that's what I loved Estelle and the Tings, it excited me!
  12. I phrased that wrong. Clearly not the most relevant judge in terms of experience and right to comment, but says the most relevant things. Simon is now just catchphrases.
  13. Norma I have to totally disagree with what you said, Dannii has probably said more in one single week that is constructive and relevant criticism than Sharon did in her four years on the show. Dannii, for me, is easily the best mentor and the most relevant judge on the team, ever. And this is from someone who RUED the decision to hire her because he literally (not sure why) DESPISED her beforehand!
  14. I didn't know it'd started :(

Wow, that episode was FANTASTIC. The best yet, easily, and the others have been so good! There was touching, there was comedy, there was drama, just great. Nothing is predictable, I had no idea Bernie would watch the wrong DVD until he did. When I saw the 'next week' clip last episode, I assumed they had been found out as werewolves and co, so it was a great twist that that wasn't the case, and it all tied in so WELL with the Nina/secrets line (ps. love love LOVE Nina) Also, the fact that because of the Owen situation, Annie is now a poltergeist is GENIUS, I laughed out so loud when the lightbulb fell from the ceiling and the slag-woman went 'rawlplugs' Perfect hours, genuinely.

It looked the same way with Chris Fountain last year though, didn't it? Jessica may be his Suzanne Shaw...
  17. I like this song but he REALLY should have gone with Nothing Ever Hurts Like You IMO.

I think Ray did himself a real favour this week, the people who call him smug and arrogant can't have failed to see how shocked and elated he was with his score!

Thanks alot, what are the emboldened ones? - surprised how high some of last years are - Ne-Yo's 'Closer' for example! Looks like Alexandra will soon become the biggest X Factor single ever AND the best selling female record of the decade :D

Oh, I fancy the quiet one more, I don't want her to be loud and $h!t. I've loved every episode and this was on the same level for me, some great comedy, alot from Pandora but it was nice to see her characters other side too. The mother was hilarious, though I was very much doubtful of the fact the Mum would have been out of it til everyone went home. No matter. How does Thomas keep affording to fly? And I like Freddie, they don't all need to be dickheads, and the relationship between the three lads with JJ being pulled every which way really works for me!
  21. I hope this goes really well for her, I'd like nothing more than for her to prove the doubters wrong :D

I've always loved Sov, went to see her with the first album and she was FANTASTIC, 'Public Warning' is so good, 'I Got U Dancing' is her best song ever and I like this too, I suspect it will grow on me more, I really hope she has a huge year!
  23. I have a friend who I trust implicitly as far as music goes. I heard half of Bust Your Windows and based on that and her recommendation, I got this yesterday, I look forward to listening to it tomorrow!
  24. I adore this, I think she sounds like Katy too, but don't think the song itself is very Perryish - and all the better for it :P
  25. I love the video, I find it visually interesting, there are lots of different things to look at and towards the end, it's funny. Song is growing on me too!
